The HP Victus 15.6" Gaming Laptop is an excellent choice for students who need a powerful yet affordable machine. It's perfectly equipped for academic tasks and provides an excellent gaming experience, making it a great investment for both education and entertainment. If you're considering upgrading or adding accessories, a RAM upgrade or an external storage drive could complement this setup well, enhancing both multitasking capabilities and storage capacity. Enjoy your new laptop—it sounds like a fantastic choice for your needs!

I've had this laptop for a few months now and it's overall pretty solid. It performs pretty well and also manages to stay relatively cool under load. The build quality is good and it seems fairly well thought out, removing and cleaning the fans is simple and straightforward and cleaning only takes about 10m. It comes with an awful Mediatek network card, which can be replaced with a nice Intel one for about 25$ and it would be nice if it had more SSD slots. The display is also a little dim, but take this with a grain of salt because I always keep night mode enabled. It's powerful. It's designed pretty well. It's cheap. If that's what you need, would recommend.

I was excited to pick this up during a sale and scored the system for about $600. There have been some minor stability issues causing the system to freeze and crash, but I think they were related to the grapics card driver and I recently updated to the stable release and haven't seen any issues there. On thing I did do was pick up an extra 8 GB of ram as soon as I got the laptop, but that was only an extra $15. Kinda regretting not picking up 2x 16 GB sticks instead (would have been about $50 instead) but that might be an upgrade I do next year to keep the system feeling new. Overall the performance is exactly as I expected and seemed to be a really good value compared to similar builds.

This laptop still plays most games, isn't bogged down with bloat, and is easy to repair it upgrade the RAM or hard drive in your own. I got it for 600 and at that price I'm happy with my purchase.

It’s nothing crazy, but it provides a very smooth experience when working with large files, and it does well enough for gaming. Was better than anything else at the same price point at the time of purchase.

I am a casual gamer, and upgrading to 32GB of RAM was easy. I ordered a new 2TB SSD that I plan on installing. So far, I haven't had any issues doing a little light video editing and playing Cities Skylines II. I would say it's definitely worth the money.

After owning this Laptop for 1 year and 5 months, I can tell its awesome! Since I got it I upgraded to 16GB Ram, and I been doing Work, Video editing and since I got it I stopped playing my Xbox series X, Because I love to play better on the Victus! Only downsides are that the battery only while playing is really bad, and Loud fan noise, besides that this is the perfect laptop.

A pretty good gaming laptop (when purchased during it's largest sale, which typically brings it down to 549) bogged down only by its bad battery. If you turn on the battery saver it only boost to about 4 hours doing office work or browsing the web. Don't even think about doing any heavy gaming on battery either. Mine pretty much lives plugged in unless I need to whip it out to quickly search something or show something to someone. The usb-c is only useful for file transfering. You might have better luck then I did, but I just could not get it to display to a portable monitor or charge itself with my currently owned usb-c cables. I upgraded my ram to 32GB and my ssd to 2TB.

The Hp Victus is a great budget gaming that laptop that top-tier gaming specifications, all while looking like a sleek business laptop. It handles graphic-intensive games pretty well, while keeping cool by blowing hot air out through the vents on the bottom and the back. Keyboard feels great while typing notes at school, and is not super heavy either. The only complaints i would have would be regarding the trackpad, as there is a section on the bottom left of the laptop that when there is pressure/weight applied on it, the trackpad will be "pressed down" even if you are not directly touching the trackpad with your fingers. This seems to be a manufacture error regarding the sensitivity of the trackpad.

It's a little heavy (approx5.5lbs) but well worth it! Definitely not intended for light travel. I know I traded power instead of convenience, so I'm okay with that. This was a much needed upgrade, no more noisy fan from my 10+ year old laptop! Intended for work but excited for the gaming capabilities because it's so fast. Battery life doesn't quite last the 10.5 hours but I may not have had the right power save settings yet.

Very good price for performance, the upgradeable ram and ssd make this laptop a great value. The screen is a bit dim but really is not a problem when used inside, even in a sunny room.

This is a very good laptop, beautiful display and keyboard, it's not very heavy so it's easy to carry from place to place, overall performance it's very good, the laptop starts in less than one minute, my only issue with this laptop it's in gaming performance, for a 3050 6gb I would expect a better performance in light games like league of legends and overwatch 2 but sometimes I get some fps drops I don't know why, other thing that I dislike it's that it only comes with 2 USB ports so I can only connect a mouse and keyboard but it doesn't leaves room for USB headphones, this can be easily fixed with a multi USB adapter but I would have loved to have in built at least 3 USB ports

This unit is exceptionally powerful for the price point. It runs newer games in 1080p with high frame rates flawlessly. The screen is beautiful. The keys have a nice feel to them. It does get warm and the fans start pumping out air when you're giving it a workout, but that is to be expected from a gaming PC in general. Very pleased with the unit. My only complaint (if I had to find one) is the low RAM from the factory and small hard drive. I popped in a larger RAM module and will probably put in a larger NVME in the future. But all in all, great value for the money.

Wow. Just a nice slick and sleek computer. My daughter uses it for roblox gaming and just that, runs extremely smooth, especially if you compare it to her older (less than 2 years) computer. I wasnt sure about the brand but so far its running great. Its a good looking computer. Battery life runs just as well as those extra expensive computers so Im glad i purchased this on Black Friday and saved about $500. Thr screen resolution is amazong and its nice and bright. Extremely vivid colors and the games look pretty awesome.

This is a great value for the power it does have. Havent had much lagg problem when playing games such as rocket league or age of empires. Sad that the battery dies so fast.

Good laptop if you want speed. Decent for entry level gaming. More than entry level actually. When on sale, it’s much better deal than getting non-gaming laptop since this one is more powerful. It has better video card even if you do not play games. Just need to add an 8gb memory for tot of 16gb. However, screen resolution is average. For reading words instead of gaming, I would not choose this laptop. I’d go with better resolution that you don’t see pixels. Easier on the eyes if you are doing excel, words, or reading frequently. For gaming, it’s good.

Bought this on July 2, 2023. Ever since had zero issues. Upgraded to 32GB of RAM and its a monster. The RTX 3050 6GB falls between the RTX 3050 4GB and RTX 3050 TI 4GB in terms of performance. In some cases it outperfoms the 3050 TI 4GB. Overall I'm impressed. The laptop stays cool at the touch when gaming and the processor never goes above 75 degrees celcius which is frosty temps for a laptop since they usually hover at 95 to 100 degrees. The graphics card never goes above 65 degrees. All of this with the stock fans and no extra cooling.

Laptop is fast and fair priced, runs everything i need and its built very premium. I would recommend this purchase. I just wish the screen was bigger.

It’s fast and reliable the graphics are very good. I haven’t had any issues with it thus far. Setup was quick and easy. I’ve played it hours at a time with it in performance mode and it’s never gotten hot or anything crazy. Only things I’m not super fond of is it has small storage which of course can be upgraded. And the volume isn’t as high as I would like. I’m hard of hearing though so it could just be me!

The performance of this laptop is really good for a budget laptop. I was looking for a laptop that can run Photoshop and play games not too heavy demanding with no problem and this laptop does that. I recommend buying an 8gb ram stick like the PNY Performance 3200MHz if you decide to buy this laptop to hit that 16gb sweet spot that allows you to multitask while working with performance-demanding applications or playing games.
