Gives The Windows Surface A Run For Its Money

I bought this laptop to upgrade my DJ laptop. I have ran OBS, Virtual DJ, AND a radio station automation program all at the same time with zero lag, no freezing or stopping, and can still surf the net with ease! I also have a Windows Surface which basically sits dormant because I have fallen in love with my Victus. The speed is awesome! Graphics and videos are HD all the time. If you want to save around $1500, get a Victus instead of a Surface.
This bad boy is now the workhorse of my Mobile DJ business! I use it to design flyers, photobooth templates, etc. i have tons of music files on it. It never lets me down. I had almost given up on HP laptops but the Victus is a great investment!

Ok, so I purchased diff models of Gaming laptops ranging from mSi to Razer this year and RETURNED THEM. This is the ONLY machine so far that maintains a HIGH FPS while staying COOL!!!
I play Resident Evil 2 : Remake in 1080p / HIGH QUALITY @144Hz with high Settings (AO, Bloom etc) and I avarage 130-140 FPS ( I have a 144hz monitor). My mSi runs somewhat good too (GTX 1650Ti) but was going up to 95 DEGREES C* (CPU) which is why I stopped gaming on it but...
THIS machine stays max 68c GPU / 70c CPU while running this game with good frame rate and stability. It's also VERY quiet while gaming, while Razer Blade / mSi GF didn't.
I returned a Razer a few months back with a RTX2060 and it performed horribly after about 15mins gaming due to overheating... I was sad about that since it looked amazing from a design point of view.
I am finally satisfied with the performance / value (Ports are a major plus) and FINALLY I have a laptop that stays thermally safe in longer runs. I do my own Benchmarks and YES it stayed cool in just about all the apps I tested (CineBench, Unigine Valley, Blender, etc...) at 1080p Ultra settings with high FPS.
Do buy! A major plus if you are going to use it with an external monitor (144hz+) monitor like I am. ***The HDMI port will deliver higher performance from the RTX 3050 on an external monitor.

Great for gaming. Easy to upgrade ram and ssd. But the speakers are quite quiet and the screen is a bit dim.

The laptop overall is good and i'm satisfied with it but the screen had one problem which is a line visible like nearly in the middle when the background changes to black color but it's fine for me.

Specs and price wise, it's a great computer. Let's you play most of the recent AAA titles at 60fps 1080p.
It's a gaming laptop though, so it's very heavy, big and noisy. Its battery also doesn't last more than a couple of hours when gaming or just watching media.
The touchpad is not very responsive either. But as long as you pair an external mouse, it's alright.
The screen is not very bright and has low contrast.
The keyboard is great, easy to type on.
It has 2 M.2 SSD slots so you can upgrade its storage, as well as its RAM. It's fairly easy to open up.

Very decent upper mid-range laptop. I get a solid 60fps on a majority of games on ultra settings. The CPU, default storage, and RAM are the only issues I have with it. Theyre all perfectly ignorable issues as well, Im just particular. An i5 is okay, dont expect greatness from it. It does get hotter than Id like, even with a cooling pad, but it never reaches throttling points. 256gb storage is practically nothing in this day and age, especially for a gaming laptop. Thankfully, 1tb+ m.2 isnt terribly expensive and its easy to install. The 8gb of RAM it comes with is decent, its 3200mhz atleast. Id recommend dropping $60 on 2 sticks of 8gb 3200mhz just for a cheap upgrade for it. The 3050 inside is great. Does everything thats asked of it and doesnt heat up to insane temps. The keyboard is fine, pretty standard. The touchpad I have turned off as I use an external mouse, but the pad did seem pretty sensitive from what I did use it for. The build itself is pretty nice. Has a nice weight to it, the display is nice, decent amount of ports. The hinge doesnt feel as strong as Id like, but its not something that will break unless youre throwing your laptop open.
All in all, its a great laptop for the price. You can spend $200-300 more and spring for the i7 version, but for this one, you drop a couple of fairly cheap upgrades into it and its perfectly fine.

The performance for this is fantastic. It tanks abit when you use rtx but mix and matching settings will level it out. I recommend upgrading the ram before you play. Besides that it's a solid gaming PC for the price.

I’m not a computer person so, if that’s what you’re looking for, I suggest looking at other reviews.
When I bought this laptop, it was to upgrade my previous one that was running slow, had a cracked screen, and just had really been through the works. And as an upgrade, it works fantastic! I do have a couple games on the computer since I’m not a huge gamer but wanted to get gaming laptops for my husband and I to play together. He got the same laptop and downloaded many more games than I did and filled up the storage space in less than a day with just a couple big games. We did buy him an external storage and that solved the issue really quickly. He’s been able to play these games on the best settings but, I will say the laptop does heat up a lot doing so.
Mine, on the other hand, doesn’t heat up too much but I’m not playing games that require a powerful computer to run them.
The computers are a bit heavy and quite large but, I do like them. My husband really likes his as well since we’ve only ever had slow or non working computers the past couple of years.
Some of the games he’s been enjoying playing on this laptop is Apex Legends, Baldurs Gate 3, No Mans Sky, and others. Baldurs Gate is what filled the storage system on the first day. It still ran though and that’s what mattered to us.

Had the laptop for a few days now. The setup and transfer of my data to the next took a few hours but was worth the wait. I have run games on that pc that I was never able to on my old one. I also upgraded my RAM to 32 gbs as well which you can look up online. I’ve ran borderlands 3 at medium to high settings for hours at a time and it had kept the thermals below 60 degrees celsius. My old laptop made by dell would crash on borderlands 3 regularly. I’ve tested my performance on halo:mcc and had fantastic frame rates and gpu temperatures for hours at a time too. Would recommend this laptop, especially if it’s on sale! Handles the load, handles the temperature. I’ve got a laptop cooling pad too. If your looking for a good affordable laptop that can still run a few good titles this is a great option.

We got this laptop for our kids to use as three of our kids are on hospital homebound and do school from home when they can’t physically make it in person. They absolutely love this laptop. I’ve used it for my work too and I’m jealous. I want one for myself. We’ve not had any issues with it whatsoever. It’s great!!!

I got this for general use but also to start playing ff14. I did upgrade the RAM to 16 gig but, honestly, I didn't need to. It runs incredibly well. It's whisper quiet, starts up in just a few seconds, runs ff14 flawlessly at peak settings, and the graphics card is no joke.
I'm not a hard core gamer or anything so I can't compare and contrast graphics cards down to the spec level. But I know that every single aspect of my gaming experience thus far has been beautiful. Frame rates have never been an issue, cut scenes are smooth, and even large scale battles are gorgeous and suffer zero lag.
I'm very impressed and happy with my purchase.

The HP Victus 16.1" Gaming Laptop strikes a balance between performance and affordability. Powered by an Intel Core i5 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, it handles gaming and multitasking smoothly. The 256GB SSD ensures fast storage, although a larger capacity would be appreciated. The distinctive Performance Blue design adds a touch of style. Overall, a solid gaming laptop for users on a budget seeking reliable performance.

As an avid gamer switching from consoles to PC I feel like this is the best option out there for both beginners and heavy gamers. It has every option you could need as far as completely custom screen settings, built in VPN, Bluetooth connectivity for controllers/phones/headsets, multiple USB ports and USB-C as well. The only downside is the storage space but that is easily fixed with an external hard drive with a few terabytes. No regrets buying it, would 100% do it again.

Great computer for the money. However battery life isn’t the greatest and fans can be a bit loud at times. Runs games pretty good but would recommend ram and ssd upgrades as it will be a factoring limit
