The "5" key gets stuck so I have to push that one key harder every time. Not the worst thing in the world, but for the price, it makes a difference.

This is a very nice keyboard. It is like typing on a laptop keyboard, only bigger and even softer. It is very soft and quiet. It also has a thin design. The keys spacing is like a standard keyboard which is better than many of the new generations where the keys are too close, and for touch typist the too close keys don't help (the whole hand is supposed to be moved not just the fingers). It also has a nano receiver which can be used to up to five devices, well, if you stick to HP products. I cannot speak of durability as I just bought it a couple of days ago. But, I expect no issues as it is an HP product.

This is one of the best keyboards on the market imo. I've gotten way too used to island keyboards on my HP envy laptop and cannot go back to a standard keyboard. This keyboard has a mini USB dongle and a button to check for battery power. Takes 2 AAA batteries, which comes included. The buttons feel really smooth and it has an FN key. I connect it to my laptop when I use it externally and could not be happier. This keyboard makes the transition from a laptop to desktop seamless. The keys are very responsive, there is honestly nothing I dislike about it. It works extremely well. Buy it if you love the island style keyboards.

I was looking for a wireless keyboard to use with a 23" monitor (also happens to be HP - love it). I originally bought an Apple wireless keyboard because I like the feel of the in individual keys and the small footprint. It lacked the functionality that I wanted in a full keyboard so I bought a Logitech K800 (wireless/backlit). I used it for about a week and struggled with it because the keys felt too spongy and I couldn't type as fast and easy as I wanted. The logitech k 800 was also a bit bigger than I wanted on my desktop. I went back to best buy and randomly saw this HP keyboard on their all in one computers and it's exactly what I wanted and works perfectly - 15 seconds after it's out of the box (literally). I also bought a HP wireless mouse because they all connect through the same USB adaptor and LOVE the set up. HP may be one of the best hardware mfgs (next to Apple and Samsung). Pros: Thin- small footprint Sturdy Sleek black design Individual keys - like apple's keyboard Instant set up - literally plug and play (PC and MAC) Small SB Link-5 adaptor (works with HP mouse & other Link-5 devices) Great Price - I pd $49.99 but it's on sale regularly for $35 and sometimes less. To me, it's worth $50 because that still HALF of what I paid for the logitech K800 and $20 less than the apple wireless... In the last three months, I've purchased: HP Elite v2 Wireless Keyboard HP x2301 LED Monitor HP wireless mouse (literally got it on sale for $10 and its one of my favorite mouses to date).

START TYPING BUT BUT KEYS NOT WORKING,START AND STOP. CAPS LOCK DOES NOT LIGHT UP AND CAUSE ME A PROBLEM,NEVER HAD K/B THAT DID NOT LIGHT.

There are three things I like about this Keyboard: 1) The slim design. 2) The Link-5 micro-receiver with 2.4Ghz. 3) The feel of the keycaps. The design is very slim, sleek, modern and sophisticated. it is very pleasant matte black in color. The Link-5 micro-receiver will let me connect up to five HP-compatible PC accessories with one receiver, hence freeing my PC of some USB ports so I will be able to not use my D-Link Port Hub. Set-up is easy; plug in the micro-receiver, press the connect button on the bottom and my Keyboard is working in a few seconds. Nothing to download and I have had no problem. The keycaps feel great to the touch. They are quiet, bouncier, and responsive so I can type faster. Beside your basic keys, it has the following hot keys: volume control, mute, internet launch (great!), and sleep mode. It isn't for gaming (which I don't), it doesn't have back-lighting or lighted keys (which I don't need, and I never type in the dark), It is just a great practical, stylish, and high-tech keyboard to add onto my Laptop (because Laptop keyboards feel warm when they are used for several hours, probably from the heat underneath) The only issue I have is not with the Keyboard itself, but Best Buy put it on Sale, lowering the price by $15.00 a week after I bought it! I'll follow with them on that.

I need an extended keyboard (for the number pad) but have a hard time swallowing the $50+ for the Apple branded wired one. So I bought the HP Elite v2 to see how well it would work with my iMac. I was able to remap the alt and Windows keys with no problem using the built-in Keyboard System Preferences. And the media and sleep keys all work, with the exception of the WWW key and the num lock, neither of which I need. Even the function keys work with iTunes in the background (you just hold down the Fn key and press the appropriate function key for music controls. The keyboard feels very sturdy, and like the Apple keyboards, has scissor keys. I actually like the feel better than the Apple one. And with it on sale at Best Buy for $34.95, I could get two of these for the cost of one of Apple'w wireless keyboards.

Great keyboard for personal or work use. It's very fast to type and very confortable for long use. Works perfectly for games (no problem with Battlefield3, for example, and i used to have a razer tarantula#. You can hit several keys at once like A,W,S,D, Space, Shift, etc. never fails. Although i had a problem at first when i was using the dongle too far from the keyboard. It will lag sometimes. Make sure the dongle is neareast as possible to avoid lags and miss typings. Dont fool yourself thinking it will work 2-3meters from the PC. It will lag! There's too many things which causes interference like your wireless router or even your monitor. Best is 1m away #open area). I know its short but its best than having another wire.

HI I JUST WANT TO SHARE MY OPINION ABOUT THIS MOUSE,FIRST OF ALL, IM A GAMER BUT IAS LOOKING FOR A NEW WIRELESS SIMPLE AND ELEGANT KEYBOARD AND I SAW THIS AT THE STORE AND DECIDE TO GIVE IT A TRY I WAS JUST TRYING IT CAUSE I KNOW THAT WIRELESS AND GAMING DONT GET ALONG (ACORDING TO PEOPLE) I BEEN RUNNING ALL KINDS OF TEST ON GAMING...BLACK OPS,BATTLEFIELD,CRYSIS 2, AND OTHERS AND I HAVENT NOTICED ANY KIND OF LAG AT ALL,SO IF U WANT A SLEEK GOOD ,AND SIMPLE,SEXY KEYBOARD EVEN IF YOU ARE A GAMER GIVE THIS BOARD A TRY I M SURE U GONNA LIKE IT.

The keyboard did not work at all. When I bought it I didn't realize it was the same one I had which wasn't great. It hardly lasted a year with not a lot of use. The new didn't even begin to work.

Purchased on-sale for $29.99, this keyboard did not disappoint. It is slim, light (yet weighty enough to feel substantial and not slip), and there is no issue with the connection. Perhaps I'm biased after having utilized a much older USB keyboard, but this is far superior. I type A LOT, as many do these days, and between my work computer, which is a brand new Dell with new wired keyboard and this, this is just as solid. I highly recommend, especially at the sale price of $29.99.

I have been looking all over for a wirelss keyboard that mirrors some of the feel of the best laptop keyboards - smooth, low travel distance for ekys, tactile feedback, amd smooth design. This has it all in a sleek and space conscious design. Many thanks to HP and Best Buy btu why wasn't this more prominently featured? I sort of found it by accident on a lower shelf. Did Logitech and Microsoft buy all the shelf space?

Paid $19.99 for this on sale. My only concern was wether or not the bluetooth would be recognized on startup so I could get into the BIOS with the keyboard. On an AMI BIOS from 2007 it recognized the keyboard and worked instantly without a single problem. I would give it a 5 on compatibility, but I haven't tried it with my macbook and have no reason to.

I bought this keyboard in lieu of the Logitech M360, which is a great low price wireless keyboard. I have purchased THREE of the m360s, indicating how much I liked them. However, when my last one cracked and finally gave up the ghost after a year and a half and about a million miles of travel, I was looking to "upgrade." The HP Elite v2 gave me this opportunity. I have an HP system, so this fits right in with my overall look. The first thing you notice is how heavy this very thin keyboard is. It is built like a tank; there is VERY little flex, even though it is millimeter-thin. It is heavier than most curved or comfort keyboards. While this adds some weight to your travel bag, it isn't enough to override the great-feeling build quality. It's clean, almost "old school" black is countered by its more modern button and key appearance. It is very clean, with the HP logo featured in brushed metal smack in the middle of the keyboard. You can't miss it. As stated earlier, it is razor thin, but looking at the back reveals curves that are missing on the front of the 'board. It is a dichotomy of differnt design agendas, but works very well in practice. The one design flaw is the "warning" sticker aboiut not typing too much. It ruins the otherwise clean lines. It isn't necessary, HP - put it on the back. What makes it worse is that there is an indent for the sticker, so even removing it leaves an indent with nothing in it. HP - COME ON MAN! The keys themselves are feather-light to the press. However, as with all but the top-end wireless keyboards, your computer will miss a keystroke or two along the way. It is more rare than more conventional designs without the scissor keys of the HP, but it still happens from time to time. In addition, there are only 5 quick keys - sleep, volume up, down, mute and open your home page or browser. The keyboard does have playback controls, but they are hidden behind the function keys - you have to press the "Fn" key to utilize the simple playback controls. This would not be an issue except for the fact that there is no way to change the function keys to only utilize the "secondary" option #play, rewind, etc#. There is no software offered to change the function of these keys #ala Logitech#. Likewise, the sleep button does put your system to sleep, but the keyboard itself does not reawaken the computer by keypress. Some would find this quite good, but others, especially those who utilize this with a desktop, will find this to be an annoyance. Likewise, some of the key choices are somewhat unusual. HP could have made this keyboard less wide without losing the full size keys by simply relocating the Home/End/Delete area of keys and relocating them to either above or to te side of the other keys, or integrate them more fully in other ways. The Delete key is double sized, which is somewhat unusual, and it is located very closely to the Enter key. I could see this causing trouble for some. I touch typed on the M360 at an average of 75 WPM. On the HP, this jumps to 80-85 WPM with about one day of acclimation. I suspect that the light presses needed to enter keystrokes has had a positive influence on this increase, especially since I haven't been using it long enough to learn its intricacies. Now time for a non HP specific rant: WHY CAN'T THIS KEYBOARD WORK WITH A LOGITECH "Unifying" USB TRANSMITTER? WHY CAN'T A LOGITECH MOUSE WORK WITH HP'S 5-LIN SETUP? Since i have one product from each, I have to place two transmitters into my laptop. I have three. Many only have two, and, in most current systems, one of those is USB 3.0. This seems to me to be a senseless waste. I understand the "need" to force consumers to buy more of your product, HP/Logitech/Microsoft/Razor/etc, but this is not conducive to continued success. I am not even completely certain that this will work with your built-in bluetooth transmitter if you have one #moot point for me...I actually try to avoid systems with bluetooth built in#. Can we PLEASE at least make devices discoverable on onther dongles/transmitters from other manufacturers? Please? Finally....where is the power button? Theoretically, it appears as if it shuts off if it doesn't get a signal for a certain amount of time, or just after shutdown. The lack of a switch or even an indicator light indicating power state is appalling, especially for a keyboard that runs AAA batteries, not the FAR MORE common AAs. Tradeoff for design, I know, but there should be some power indication. HP - fix it please. #One word of warning - it is wider than a 17.3" laptop. It fits into a bag made for up to 17.3" systems, but I suspect that you would have at least some difficulty getting this into a bag that maxes out at 15.6" or 16".# Overall, if you are looking for a mid range keyboard that is sleek and clean and requires a light touch for quick typing, this is a great choice. The price for the results could be better, especially with the missing functionality. Considering the build quality and the design, however, this makes for a great keyboard.

Bought it because the keys felt nice and it has a sleek design - but from there it was downhill. Tried to install but my Win7 64 bit system can not find a driver for it, so install failed. Tried to search for a driver on HP site - nothing. Returned it immediately and replaced with a Logitech wireless keyboard which worked right out of the box flawlessly. From here on, when it comes to mouse and keyboards - Logitech all the way. HP is a bunch of hype.

Love this keyboard. I've been using a Logitech K350 for years and been pretty happy with it. I bought the HP Elite for my wife for a keyboard that she needed to get when she needed one quick. She didn't like it and gave it to me so I could use it for work. I fell in love with it immediately. It's much sleeker, and much smoother to type on than my Logitech K350. The Logitech is a CLUNKER compared to the HP Elite. Everyone at work who has seen it wants one too.

This keyboard is smooth. It is a pleasure to type on, quite, and perfect for use on a desktop. I wish I would have gotten the combo pack with the mouse, but I'll probably pick up a x400 soon anyway. I can not say enough good things about the keyboard. Best Buy is another story, but this review is for the product itself. HP did a great job on this one. I can't remember a time I've used such a quite and smooth keyboard. Setup was pretty much nonexistent on my little Win 7 running notebook. Plug in the adapter wait a few seconds and your good to go.

Low cost option with no special feature other than wireless. Easy to install.

Excellent product! I love this keyboard. When I saw it at the store it seemed a bit big, but now that I have it on my desk I realize it has the perfect size. It is very slim, light, and smooth... I can write very fast!
