I have been able to keep everything backed up and I love the fact I don't have to have a lot of disc

Terrible. This and PNY the worst you can buy.

I've owned both brands. and read reviews on both from this site and tiger direct. This model I bought today and it died on me, just stopped working. I read the PNY reviews tons of people had the same problem with that brand. These may be the cheapest or the ones on sale (I bought this HP when it was 35 now its 70 that's a laugh not worth 10) but really get a good brand with a good track record like SanDisk.

Good price but sometimes very slow

PRO: good USB 3.0 speed for large file transfer (read/write).
CON: very very low speed for small file cluster transfer (read/write). The random file access function has significant problem, even slower than USB 2.0 drives. really bad for windows/my document folder backup, game loading, etc. I've tried both exFAT and NTFS, but no difference.
