I pondered and waited a long time trying to decide between the rift and the vive. Vive won out hands down in the end. Installation was easy enough. The hardest part was figuring out how to mount the light houses to my wall. After that it ran like a dream and I have only a modest computer (amd 8350 and gtx 1060 6gb with 8gb ram). Elite, Beat saber, space pirate trainer, and super hot are the best! The Christmas sale made this a no brainer for me.

Good headset, so far I haven’t had problems, tracking works well. I have gotten bored with reality now

With the proper set up and space, the HTC Vive let's you play and interact with virtual worlds that keyboard and mouse playing just can't compare with.

Easy setup and good battery life on the controllers, the only complaint is that my pc is on the low end for running it so occasional lag.

Not only my son love it, but the whole family. This is a must have for Friday night family time.

This was my first encounter with virtual reality and I have to say it is amazing. I was blown away with the clarity and visual of the headset. I chose this headset mostly for the fact that it includes everything that I needed to start and also because it is very compatible with steam. The only part I don’t like about is the foam that wraps around the face that gets very sweaty and nasty while playing.

Love the system. Better than oculus in my opinion. The pro version is way to expensive for what it is but this version was great

we use the HTC vive for student VR projects. Easy enough to set up, show them how to use it, and let them develop VR applications or use specialized discipline-specific software

Vive is pretty cool to use. Set up was not bad at all. Works in the living room and computer room pretty well.

This system takes things to a whole different level of fun! Gotta be careful with getting motion sickness though.

The Vibe starter kit is very limited. It's a basic set and appears that the need to buy all the extras to go with it, doesn't make it worth the $500 kit price

Hardware-wise, it performs fine. The realities of how the room and equipment need to be set up makes this a hassle for a room that isn't dedicated for VR use. You need base stations in the corners of the room. Wires run from the PC to where you'll have the headset. Not exactly living room material. All for a pretty penny that needs a different pretty penny to have a good enough PC. Still fun, though.

Bought these and the headphones....money well spent! VR is something you don't want to miss out on.
