This phone is very versatile and it has more features than the IPhone 6S+. The screen size is even bigger, 5.9”. Having the finger print sensor on the back works great (much faster than Samsung sensor). Plus the battery lasts twice as long as the IPhone 6S+. Only issue is the limited case selection.

I upgraded to the Huawei Mate 9 from a Motorola Moto X Pure Edition. All of my favorite features from my old phone are here but even BETTER. The camera on the Mate 9 is fantastic and produces high quality photos. The camera also features a pro option so that you can control the aperture as you would with a SLR/ DSLR camera. The battery is huge. I work mainly in the field and am a heavy phone/ data user. I can go the entire day using multiple apps, streaming music, using GPS/ maps, emails, etc and get home with more than 50% of the battery remaining. The phone also features quick charging capabilities which is a huge plus for me. A fun feature on this phone is that it has a build in pedometer so it counts my steps for me throughout the day without needing to wear my wrist pedometer. I don't regret this purchase at all, I wish I would have made the switch sooner!

It is a great phone. The camera is very good. The price is very good deal.

Picked up the Mate 9 in February when my Nexus 6P finally gave out on me. Amazing phone - arguably the best I've owned to date. Camera is great, processor handles any and everything I can throw at it without so much of a hiccup, and the battery is insane. 39% is the lowest I've gotten it to in any single day of ownership - even with moderate and constant all day use. If you utilize the "Ultra Battery" setting overnight, you can easily get 2 days of normal use out of it. I'm even impressed with the single, down-firing speaker - that thing gets loud. (Maybe not the best sound for audiophiles, but volume certainly isn't an issue). I can't recommend this phone enough to anyone looking for a phablet sized handset. Oh and speaking of that, after the first couple days it just feels right in the hand. I rarely feel like anything is out of reach.

Huawei mate 9 is cheeper then all above phone and alot better in functions and speed. The good thing also I would mention that the parts are so cheap to buy compare to Samsung n iPhone. Will recommend this phone 100%..

I absolutely love this phone ! Comes with case and screen protector and the quality and functionality is great ! I am very impressed with it ! So far the best phone I ever owned and I owned many iPhones and Androids in the past but I am very happy with my purchase and great price !!!

I didn't want to replace my old phone, a Sony Z Ultra, because I love that device. My top choice for a replacement was the Sony XZ Premium. I didn't love the XZ Premium and couldn't see paying that much for something I wouldn't mind replacing in a year or 2. So after a lot of research I was settling on the Huawei 6X (X6?) as a dirt cheap replacement, the Honor 8 as a pretty option, or this Mate 9. This was more expensive but at less than a year old, it was about half the price of brand new models. It's hardware should keep it useful for the 2+ years I'd like to have it. Durability is my main concern, it's not waterproof, and the pre-installed screen protector is already a little scratched in less than a week. I don't intend to use a case or replace the screen protector once I remove this one. I rarely use anything more than a power case down the road when the non-removable (officially, anyway) battery starts showing its age. The included case is nice enough and offers some protection. The only real complaint I have, aside from wanting a bigger and higher resolution screen, is the battery. This has a large battery but I've been draining it pretty fast. I'm starting to adjust the settings to extend it but I think I just expected more from such a large battery. Although it charges crazy fast so I can't complain much. The screen really is impressive considering it's not quadHD (4k). And unlike my Z Ultra, this should fit in a typical VR headset. Obviously it's hard for me to express how great the device is, I have little to compare it to. But the approximately $400 I paid (open box) seems worth it so far. Tough call, my Z Ultra was $300 but that was in 2014 when it was a year old. Looking at everything on the market, this really seemed like a solid buy. The IR blaster is great and not many mobiles have them. Decent stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack and pretty good (IMO) included headphones. Bluetooth 5.0 and waterproofing would've been nice but I'll survive. I do like the simplified, near stock Android UI Sony (and some other brands) use, so I was concerned about Huawei's EMUI. So far EMUI hasn't been problematic. The device is fast and I don't feel like I need to plan on installing custom firmware. Cameras seem good, as does call quality. If only they used that spiffy Honor 8 glass back on this, that'd have been sweet. This is a great mobile for the price, and a pretty good one regardless of price. I'm sure the Mate 10 will be a step up in specs (the 970 processor is impressive) but I didn't want to wait for it or pay that much. I'm satisfied with the Mate 9 so far. I'm not loving it like my Z Ultra. Of course this has better specs and is currently functional. My Z Ultra just felt premium (with only a few caveats) while the Mate 9 feels high-midrange/near-premium. I expect Huawei will be on my radar when I'm in the market to replace this. Good job Huawei, you tempted me away from Sony (sorry Sony).

It took me a long time to make up my mind, I travel in Asia a lot and have played with this phone amongst other top end smartphones, I own a Huawei 5X which is also good but this is so much faster and never misses a beat. Super quality finish very solid and beautiful screen. I needed an unlocked dual sim phone and this is the best I have every used! - It's replacing my iPhone 6S+ which is locked to AT&T and so far I don't miss my iPhone - Recommended

Fast, great pics, finger print is so accurate overall happy. So far so good!! And yes I love the dual sim fact.

So I got this phone because of the camera. Honestly takes great pictures! Overall the phone is a beast at performance and the battery life is on par with Iphones

I got this phone for my wife because she has a tendency to go though a lot of battery during the day. This phone has been wonderful for her and easily lasts all day. I'm a fan of stock Android but this skin is not too bad. Excellent build quality too.

Runs smooth and gets only a little warm during very taxing games. The OS is nice and the knuckle tap features are pretty cool. Also if your phone is off if you press the volume down twice it will take a picture. I like that feature. My last phone took to long to snap pictures and I felt like I couldn't get a lot of quick shots because of that. 64gb is nice. your get about 42ish gigs to play with. I'm not to sure considering I transfered over my aps. One of the best phones Ive ever owned. What drew me to this phone was the screen size and overall performance. The only downside is the selection of cases is pretty low. Wish I had more options but thats not too bad. Oh and you cant give jingles to messages. You can to ringtones but not the messages. Thats kinda a bummer. Might have to figure out an app work around. 9.3/10

Awesome phone, very good camera, a lot of memory. The phone comes with a screen protector already on it and a case. As soon as you turn on your mate 9 , and register on your Android login and password , a app Huawei will transfer your old phone data intern and micro SD automatically to you huawei phone.

Read lots of reviews before purchasing the phone and was very torn between it and the Google Pixel XL. I'm very happy that I purchased the Mate 9 and would do it again. The battery life is hands down amazing. Previously I had an LG v10 and had to charge the device 3 or even 4 times throughout the day, I've reached 16 hours with the Mate without having to charge. 16 hours of pretty heavy use, screen bright, data/wifi on, playing music etc... Plus the phone does not get warm during heavy usage even in 90+ degree heat. The screen is beautiful with bright clear colors. The camera takes beautiful pictures, comes with lots of fancy settings but very easy to use. Would 100% recommend this phone.

So I've been a stock/vanilla Android guy for the past 4 yrs or so. I had a Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 5 and then the past two years a Nexus 6. I've unlocked bootloaders, rooted and thrown on Custom Roms and changed Kernels (Franco). I'm a fan of Android pure, some say plain since it doesn't have some other manufacturers features. I like having a buttery smooth phone that doesn't show its age and is the most up to date than others. Well my N6 be n showing its age after 2 yrs, and I read reviews from the International Mate 9 since it dropped in Nov16. I loved the size screen on the Nex6 and didn't want to go any smaller. So about a month ago I bought the Mate 9 since it's about the same dimensions a little smaller, yes it does have a 1080p screen compared to 1440p..But I couldn't see the difference. Mate 9 uses EMUI over Android 7.0, but it's actually welcome. It's not too much, still smooth and has nice little features. I got Nova Launcher on it so mine looks like my Nex6. Camera is great...Very nice features. The phone looks nice, feels good in the hands. If you like a big screen phone...Give this phone a chance.

I had Samsung 6s for 2 years. I had encounter many problems. It drain out the better so fast and my cell always get very hot. I am not regret to buy mate 9. You can't beat the price for such good smart phone

its an awesome android device. definitely a high end phone, and it performs like a champ. no lag, camera is not extra ordinary but surely gets the job done. screen resolution is 1080p, which is plenty for human eyes....just love the fact that the software just flies......nice job Huawei with the emui. extremely happy so far
