Just as expected -- one catch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It arrived, flawless. Just as new... I originally bought the 128gb version new, and was fine with it. The 128 seemed to be overkill, but I like to future-proof things like my phone... All was right in the world until I saw this 64gb refurbished version popped up at $399.99 within my 45 day return policy (Elite Plus). Naturally, I decided to save myself $200 and snap up a re-manufactured version -- figuring 64gb would be enough. It was. It is... The only bummer through all of this is that BBY will NOT allow you to buy their Geek Squad Protection Plans with refurb things. This was news to me, and came as a bit of a bummer. The store person cited the reason why as being "It's refurbished. We don't know if OEM parts are in there." Seriously?!? You re-manufactured it, and sold it online (not marketplace)... So... fine. Weird, but fine... I wasn't going to argue with the girl with a limp at the counter... All-in-all, the purchase was good. I have plenty of phone, and I saved myself $300 ($200 on the phone, and $100 on the GSPP). I'l take it.

Nexus 6P: Made the switch from iPhone worth it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nexus 6P is almost a year old yet you'd think it just came out. I purchased the refurbished phone here after doing a TON of research (About 6 months worth on the phone) to decide if I was truly ready to make the jump back to Android after ditching for iOS back in 2010 -- and to save a pretty penny of course too from a new device. The jump so far has been super smooth and well worth it. While I don't game on phones or really do anything crazy, the availability of launchers, customization and everything else is there if I ever wanted to get crazy - something iOS and other bloated Android phones cant offer. Well, on to the device itself. Best Buy (or whoever does their repairs and cleaning) have done a wonderful job packaging shipping and making this phone appear new. I examined it head to toe and it honestly looks brand new - even has the Nexus serial number tag on it still, something I've seen them have fresh out of the Google Box. Huawei did a great job on the design. It's larger then the iPhone 6 Plus I was using yet doesn't feel bigger at the same time. It's noticably bigger on the overall size factor but the screen is still almost the same in terms of one handed use - it's doable but it'll test your thumb strength. Overall, 64GB is plenty for me and the software is very smooth at stock like it should be. Battery life is great, too. Something I was worried about with all the background processes Android has. Rapid charge is a plus too - this thing from 15% will charge to 100% in about 45 minutes and it'll actually last an entire day after that quick charge thanks to USB-C. Only gripe is Google Photos - not a fan of having everything on the cloud, and managing and creating albums is a little strange, but hopefully over time it'll get better because honestly...I hate it. iPhone's simple gallery is much more what I'd like to see, and I know several other flagships have better and more straight forward camera and photo apps. Only other gripe is the camera's lack of stability software and that it really doesn't seem to snap quickly or zoom too far, however, the overall quality still is hard to beat, so I can live with that...and most of the time I take SnapChats versus real photos that mean anything so that's fine too. If you still want a Nexus 6P, especially in 64GB for the best price around, look no further. Great phone!

Posted .Thanks for the great feedback, BillClay. Hearing that you did that kind of extensive research and came out with the Huawei on top is fantastic to hear. With the 6P, we believe that it can compete with any of our competitors flagship phones. And the fact that in a lot of those options the 6P comes in at a fraction of the cost only boosters our pride in what we believe is a great product. Thank you again for the great review. (DM)
