Good suspenseful action movie that keeps you guessing

Another great movie with Gerald Butler. Good storyline

As long a you can suspend belief about the basic premises of this film, it's pretty darn good. The action is intense. Tension builds throughout the movie. Technical effects are excellent. It's a great yarn with parallel stories about an American submarine trying to maintain world peace, a special ops team trying to rescue a Russian prime minister, and political leaders in Washington who are looking for war. The acting is excellent, but can't we find Americans to play American roles? Gary Oldman and Gerard Butler are great actors, but it always annoys me when they aren't playing Brits.

Interesting and relevant to the time Great acting

This "Hunter Killer" movie is excellent quality! The picture (displaying on our Samsung Neo-QLED 75" tv) is like being in a movie theater with an IMAX screen. The visual quality is clear, distinct, (of course, it doesn't hurt that the tv is super quality to begin with). The sound (using a soundbar) is superb. So glad we bought this dvd, as we enjoy watching movies at home.

Really enjoyed this movie! It made it to the top shelf of my Blu Ray rack. Great military intrigue movie. Lot of moving pieces that come together (Submarine, Seal Team, Military Leadership) to give you a good view of the whole adventure. Lots of action and lots of suspense! Probably also my favorite Gerard Butler movie. Good supporting cast as well - even if Gary Oldman's character is a bit cookie cutter for such a brilliant actor. If you like naval or military/war movies, you should take a look into this one!
