Itch and dryness relief but don't like oily ears

I don't often experience ear itch/fatigue/dryness unless I'm wearing in-ears for a LONG time... However, it does happen and when it does, I'd appreciate a bit of relief. These drops claim to do so and I think they work with some caveats: First of all, the ingredients seem like natural oils that should be safe for use. Secondly, I recommend applying these onto a Q-tip or cotton swab and then applying them exactly where you want it. This works better (for me) since "aiming" a dropper into my ear is one step above flying blind. There's little guarantee that I'm going to get these drops right where I want and at such a small bottle size, you probably don't want to waste this stuff! Results =========================== Yes, they do provide some soothing and itch-relief for ears that are irritated by long in-ear usage or the constant in/out friction of in-ears. In many cases, I could see this providing instant relief that last longer than temporarily using some cold water or something. However, since I don't like oil anywhere near my electronic devices, I would use it sparingly and then thoroughly clean my ears afterwards (which can result in more dryness) to remove any remaining oil before using in-ear devices again.

I like these ear drops four several reasons. Being new to hearing aids, sometimes one ear and sometimes both ears get dry and itchy. These ear drops are what makes that go away and fairly fast. I really like that the drops are made of natural ingredients, I try to eat healthy and try not to eat chemicals or preservatives so these drops are another product to have that is natural.  Cruelty free, yes please,  this product is 100% cruelty free. That means the product was not tested on animals nor are any being harmed during production. It took a bit for me to get used to them, but now they give me comfort so I get past the initial feeling.  Another plus is that these drops are Flexible Savings Account and Health Savings Account eligible. I don't have to use them all the time, on both ears or every day, but now I know what helps me relieve the itchy and dryness on my ears, and having no chemicals is a big plus. Great to have tried it after being hesitant of doing so. Since these drops are under 3 oz they can travel with me anywhere.

These drops are greatas I frequently have very dry and itchy ears. I usually put these in after I shower but you can use at any time you have that problem. Sometimes I will use a qtip to put the drops in my ears. I also wear hearing aids and have a lot of issues with always itching. Since I have been using this on a regular basis I no longer have this problem of always having to pull out my hearing aids and rubbing the inner part of my ear to stop the itching. you might want to be careful as to how much you use so the oil is not running down the side of your face. Sometimes I will put the drops in my ears before sleeping and my ears are nice in the morning when I get up. For hearing aid users I would think these are a necessary item to keep with you all the time as I know they really help me with mine not bothering me when i have them in all day. There is no down side to using these drops and after trying many different brands these are the ones I wil always use to keep my ears from being itchy every day.

Hyland’s Naturals - Dry Ear Relief. I get seasonal ear itchiness. Using earbuds or hearing assistance products for extended periods can make it worse. Allergies certainly contribute to the problem. I don’t really want to depend on a strong steroid-like product, although I would use one for temporary relief. Hyland’s Naturals product seems like a potentially solution for those ‘driving me nuts” moments so I’ve been using it for a number of days. Likes: Soothing, ingredients all seem non-problem causing, long-lasting, easy to apply, minimal amount required, reasonably effective, odorless, colorless, and, for me, stops itchiness in its tracks. Don’t like: I need to really minimize the amount I apply to avoid oiliness around my ears or on pillows; ingredients seem to be completely inactive medically (no anti-inflammatories such as salicylates); vitamins have unreliable history of topical effectiveness and no convincing evidence is offered that any other ingredients are effectual. While I have no way to validate the claims or effectiveness of the ingredients for itch relief, I can confirm that my symptoms are notably reduced and I have no adverse reactions. I should note that I’m notoriously hyper-reactive to allergens across a wide range of foods, and this product has shown NO such allergenic reaction for me as I’ve been using it. You need to do your own testing, but I’m going to continue using Hyland’s Dry Ear relief.

Itchy Ear From Ear Bud and Hearing Aid Use

My ears itch when wearing my ear buds or hearing aids. I thought it was something I had to live with until I started using Hyland’s Naturals Dry Ear Oil. I was hesitant to use the drops to at first as I was told all my life to not put stuff in my ears. I felt much better about it after reading the ingredients. As a Certified Aromatherapist I was familiar with nearly all these ingredients. Applying the drops into my ear was a challenge. They didn’t come out of the bottle freely so I had to squeeze it. I was not sure they came out so I tried again. I think I may have put too much in the first couple times. I could not feel them go in. It was only when I pressed in on my ear that I could tell the drops were there. I can’t see well enough to see them to go in by using the bathroom mirror either. I finally practiced by seeing how much pressure on the bottle was needed to drop one drop on paper towel. There is some help with the itching ear but I wish the bottle had a separate dropper instead of the dropper bottle. The package does not say if you need to wait so long before putting in your ear buds or hearing aids. I think I will put these drops in my ear upon waking up then put hearing aids in my hears when I’ve completed doing my morning rituals. I have also been putting the drops in at night once I take my hearing aids out. I don’t want to damage my hearing aids or ear buds as they are expensive.

Hearing Aid Users, Relief for Dry, Irritated Ears

Hyland’s Naturals - Dry Ear Relief Oil I am hearing impaired and have been wearing various types of hearing aids for almost twenty years. During this time my ears have been dry, itchy and ever sometimes sore. I never looked into this type of product, so I was delighted to give it a try. When I opened the box the product came in, I noticed the bottle contained .50 fluid ounces of oil. The ingredient description on the box indicated there are twelve different oils and other ingredients. I was impressed. The directions stated to use four drops of oil in each dry irritated ear. I have to say I started with two drops and then inserted by hearing aids into my ears. I was not sure the impact would have inserting my hearing aids into a heavily oiled eardrum. The result was excellent, just as was stated on the package. The oil did not seem to impact my hearing aids and, in fact, they seemed to go into my smoother. The oil moisturized my ears almost instantly and I hardly no the hearings aids were in my ears. Even after taken the hearing aids out, my ears felt soothed and moist. There is no doubt that in the future, I will be purchasing this product because I know I will be wearing hearing aids for the rest of my life. I would recommend this product to anyone who wears hearing aids or has dry irritated ears.

Hyland's Naturals Dry Ear Relief Oil is a natural, safe, and effective way to relieve dry, itchy ears. The oil is made with a blend of natural ingredients, including hemp seed oil, argan oil, jojoba oil, camellia oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, and apricot kernel oil. These oils are known for their moisturizing and soothing properties, and they work together to quickly and effectively relieve dry, itchy ears. The oil is also safe for use with auditory devices, such as hearing aids and earbuds. This makes it a great option for people who wear these devices regularly. The oil is also safe for use by children ages 2 and up. I have personally used Hyland's Naturals Dry Ear Relief Oil, and I can attest to its effectiveness. I suffer from dry, itchy ears, and I have found that this oil provides quick and lasting relief. The oil is also very easy to use. I simply apply a few drops to my ear canal, and I am immediately relieved of my discomfort. Overall, I highly recommend Hyland's Naturals Dry Ear Relief Oil to anyone who suffers from dry, itchy ears. It is a natural, safe, and effective way to relieve this condition.

Hyland's Naturals-Dry Ear Relief Oil is a homeopathic aid for dry and itchy ears. These drops are made primarily from a combination of natural oils. I have suffered from allergies for decades that often result in itchy ears. I also have worn hearing aids the last few years that have given me itchy ears as well. When I first began wearing the hearing aids my ears constantly itched and ached at times. I complained to my audiologist a few times and was told that I should get used to it after a time. I read that reducing the size of the domes on the tips of the hearing aids could help. I went from a large in both ears to a small in one ear and a child size in the other ear. The size reduction helped quite a bit, but I still had itchy ears very often. I've spent much of my life trying to get moisture out of my ears and never considered that my ear canals might be dry. I recently tried the dry ear relief oil and found it very helpful in relieving the itching in my ears both from allergies and hearing aid use. The oil is a bit hard for me to administer as I can't tell if I've inserted a couple of drops of a couple of big squirts into my ears. A softer to squeeze container might help with this. Once in, the oil feels kind of messy as if it's oozing out. It really hasn't oozed out or made a mess unless I've put in too much, but it always feels to me as if it is coming out for a while. For my difficulty in administering the proper dose and the feeling that it's oozing out (even though it's not) I deduct a star. As for effectiveness I give this dry ear relief oil 5 stars. When I put the oil in it seems to keep my ear canal coated and itch free for several days. In spite of my two negatives above, I am a fan and glad that I found this product. In the beginning, I feared that the oil might seep into the speakers in my (SIE( Speaker In Ear)) hearing aids and damage them but this has not happened.

    Bye Bye Crusty Ears

Ive always had dry, crusty earwax on my outer ears...for years. I've always tried using lotion to combat it, or even did my best to start .my day with clean ears, but the dry earwax would slowly develop thoughout the day. Since using hearing aids, I did notice that my inner canal would not be as dry, but definitely my outer ear continued to be this way. When I learned about the Hylands Dry Ear Relief Oil, I had to file it a try. The way I apply it is by putting drops on my finger, then rub it around my entire outer ears. At first glance, my ear does feel a lot smoother and lubricated. It also does have a bit of a shine...it's oil after all. But surprisingly, my ear does not create as much of a crust of earwax as it would normally do. I wouldn't say it is perfect; after half a day has passed, I'd probably reapply as the oil does seem to go away at some point. But it has been very good at keeping any kind of dry ear to a minimum. The only thing that I would consider a minus is that it is......oil based. So you have to be mindful where your ears go. If you put your head on a pillow, then the oil will transfer over. If you fiddle with your ears throughout the day and then touch other surfaces, it will transfer. Talking on the phone? Yeah. So I docked a point here because of that. And I don't use it as recommended, having to put 2-3 drops in the canal. It will not disappear into the night....it's going to drain back out and then you'll have to deal with the mess. Overall, I'm happy with the Hylands Dry Ear Relief Oil product. I will continue to use it, and refine how I apply it to my outer ear, which is the source of my grief.

Yes, this makes a difference! My test was very scientific, I used it in my right ear only. At first I didn't really notice anything. But three days in to my test I woke up in the morning and was rubbing my left ear. Didn't think much about it until later that day I was also rubbing my left ear (control ear for my test). It was just kind of itchy. Never really noticed that my ears itched before this product was sent to me, but I did rub them ever so often. My right ear (test ear) was not itchy and I was not rubbing it! It kind of makes sense that earbuds and/or hearing aids could rub your ear and cause some friction/dryness. I reviewed the ingredients and the very first one is Apricot Kernel Oil which is the same stuff in the cuticle oil I use to keep my cuticles soft. The next ingredient is Jojoba oil which is an ingredient in many conditioning and moisturizing products. Reading the ingredient list, I could eleven oils and these are the first eleven ingredients. There are only a few other ingredients like vitamin E, D3 and aloe.

The ingredients in these eardrops seem to be a great combination of oils - all natural. I really wanted these to help with dry, itchy ears as well as inflammation due to eczema. Being an oil, it is very thick and when I put the drops into my ear, it plugs my ear and feels almost like swimmers ear. I ended up having to get most of it back out since it didn't unplug on its own. The oiliness is also an issue with wearing ear buds or putting anything against the ear (pillow) until it absorbs completely, which takes a while. I could tolerate the oiliness if the drops relieved any of my symptoms, but they actually made all my symptoms worse. One ear got really inflamed and perhaps infected. I'm thinking it may be because moisture got trapped in the ear canal. After trying a few times, I had to discontinue using them. Now, even though it didn't work for me, it could be because I have hyper sensitive skin and struggle with dermatological issues. This is one of those products that each person needs to try individually.

I don’t really pay attention to my ears, but lately my ears have decided to start itching, probably from wearing headphones too often but in my line of work I cannot always fix the problem. So, seeing this I decided to see if it could help at all. It says that it helps with dryness and itchiness, I don’t know about dryness but for the itchiness got me interested. So, the first time I put this in it felt weird. It’s oily and slimes into your ear, I read someone else put it on q-tips but that is not what the instructions say so do that at your own risk. The drops definitely helped with the itchiness which went away pretty fast. Then sleeping it all drained out or so I believe. I can’t say whether this is a long term solution, as if your ears are bothering you for awhile it might be a good idea to go visit a doctor, but doctors aren’t always the fastest to get into especially specialized doctors, so having something for relief is definitely a good thing. Pros: It works for itchiness Cons: It feels weird

I am currently using hearing aids when out in public and oftentimes, ear buds when I am home alone enjoying my favorite tunes. This activity tends to make my ears irritated and sometimes dry, as does the dry air and blowing wind out in nature. I tried Hyland’s Dry Ear Relief Oil and fortunately, it helped me to moisturize my ears and relieve the constant itch. Because you place the drops (3-4 drops) into the ear canal, it soothes and moisturizes deep down and not just on the surface as lotions do. I also smooth it around my inner ear. I would suggest making sure you don’t use the drops just prior to using anything you need to have inserted into your ear canal because this would tend to make your ear slippery. This product is made in the USA of natural ingredients, including several different kinds of natural oils. It is also allergen & cruelty free. So it makes my heart feel good to use it and it makes my ears feel better after using it. I would recommend Hyland’s Naturals - Dry Ear Relief Oil.

A couple of years ago I started wearing hearing aids. That, plus I love to listen to music with ear buds & headphones leads me to occasional ear dryness and irritation. More so from the hearing aids. I wear them all day and take them out in the evening. It often happens that my ears will be very itchy and dry. Been using this product and I have to admit it seems to work. Just a few drops after taking out my hearing aids and I’m noticing much less itching. Looking over the ingredients, it is mostly a mix of various fruit & seed oils. Makes me feel better knowing it is mostly a naturally derived product. So far, I haven’t run into any side effects. I haven’t found the need to put more drops in. Just the original dose of three to four drops seems to do the trick. In fact, I find that wiping my ears out gently about an hour after using this that everything feels great for the rest of the night. My only complaint is the tiny size of the bottle. Don’t think the bottle will last very long. Not sure if a larger size is available, but if so I’ll most likely go with it next time.

To use this, you put it in your ear canals, it felt funny at first, since I haven't put liquid treatment in my ear canals in a long time. It helped with dry and sore ear canals from hearing aid and ear bud use for both my wife and myself. It comes with a good amount and will probably last a couple months for the 2 of us when used as needed for symptoms. Takes away dryness and irritation. I will use probably 2 times a week maximum. My ears sometimes feel like they have too much oil in them when I use the full amount recommended, so sometimes I reduce it by a couple drops to help with that feeling of wanted to clean it right back out of my ears. We will see if this gets my wife to wear her hearing aids more often, but maybe she just likes taking breaks from clearly hearing the sound of my voice. You never know. I think it is a good product to try for minor relief, see you doctor if you ears remain tender and sore, you might need medicated relief. If you have itchy ears from earbud or hearing aid, I would recommend. If you have dry ears from general headphone use, I would also recommend it.

I have been using Hyland's Naturals Dry Ear Relief Oil for a few days now and I am very impressed with the results. I have had dry, itchy ears for years and I have tried many different products as well as methods to try to get them feeling better, but nothing has worked as well as this oil. The oil is very easy to use. I just apply a few drops in my ear canal at night before bed and I wake up with my ears feeling much better. I was told on my last doctor's visit that I had a lot of irritation in my ears and inner ear. The first night I applied this I felt like over the moon better and I see to be able to hear a little better. Sounds weird and a little unlikely but its the truth. As stated on the box the natural oils use to create this product make a difference and I for one agree. The oil is also very soothing and it helps to calm any itching or irritation. I would definitely recommend Hyland's Naturals - Dry Ear Relief Oil to anyone who is suffering from dry, itchy ears. It is a natural product that is very effective and it is also very affordable and thats the best part.

I tried Hyland’s Dry Ear Relief Oil this afternoon and after a couple of hours, the itching in my ears seems gone…or at least much better. They didn’t feel dry, but they would itch on and off throughout the day. I’ve always had issues with earbuds, so I tend to use over-the-ear headphones, but so far today, I’ve been good with the buds. Also, I’m allergic to just about everything in nature around me, as well as dogs and cats. Hopefully, this product along with my allergy shots helps to control the itching. As for usage, it’s fairly straightforward. I just lay down in the recliner on one side and dropped in 3-4 drops. It felt a bit oily, but that didn’t last. A few minutes later, I changed sides and repeated the treatment. All in all, it took less than ten minutes. So, if my ears continue to feel this good, I’ll probably always have this on hand. Just a side note, I’ve tried olive oil before and it helps, but not like this. I’d recommend this product to anyone with ear itchiness, allergies, or earbud reactions, especially if using natural oils didn’t quite work.

These are great ear drops for anyone who wears hearing aids. Hearing aids can make your ears dry and itchy, especially with regular and extended use. Sometimes ears can end up sore too. These ear drops provided some really great relief when needed and don't impact the performance of the hearing aids, which was a concern of mine. Reviewing the box, there also appear to be a lot of natural ingredients, which makes me feel more comfortable about long term use. It also indicates that there are no artificial ingredients, which is a huge plus. Overall, I highly recommend these ear drops and they appear to be great for continued use. So far the included drops have lasted a while too, so I haven't needed to get more as of yet. These are a must have for anyone with dry or itchy ears, especially those who use hearing aids or wear wireless headphones all day. They also don't leave your ears feeling sticky or uncomfortable, which I was concerned about well. They once again are just really great ear drops and I plan to continue using them.

There is of course only one relevant question when it comes to this particular product..."Does it relieve dry itchy ears?" It does indeed. The day I received it, I immediately put it to the test. And sure enough, almost instantly, I experienced relief from the itchiness in my ears. Now, I have to say that I am loathe to use anything that has to go directly into the ear canal. I always have been as far back as I can remember. However, because I have been dealing with the itchy ears since for years, I was willing to try anything. Strange as it may seem, I never connected the use of my earbuds with the itchy ear thing, and it wasn't until I read the ad for Hyland's Dry Ear Relief Oil that I put two and two together. But like I said, I experienced almost immediate relief. Now, a few hours later, the itchiness returned, and rather than put more drops into my ears, I simply applied some oil to my finger and rubbed it around the inside of my ear, and the itchiness went away. The second day I used it, I had almost identical results except for it was several more hours before the itch came back. By day three, I used the drops in the late morning, and experienced relief for the rest of the day. What a wonderful blessing that was...and continues to be. I am impressed by the ingredients used in the Hyland's Oil...Apricot kernel oil, sesame seed oil, olive oil, and a list of other natural oils. What a breath of fresh air it is to know that a product really is 100% natural! It is obvious someone knew their stuff when they came up with the formula for this product. So why then am I giving it only Four Stars? Well, because it coats the rubber inner-ear pieces of my earbuds with a layer of oil. I understand the body can't absorb the product completely, but I am concerned whether this might cause some issues with the lifespan of my earbuds. Not because of the effect it might have on the rubber inserts, but because of the effect it might have if it should actually get inside the earbuds themselves. I feel certain this had to be an issue that was considered when they were developing the product, and if they addressed this in the literature, I missed it. But for now, because of the relief from the blasted itchiness, I am content to simply wipe my ears with tissue to get the excess oil. To me, it is a great trade. After several days of use, I am happy to say that the itchy ears have all but disappeared. This truly is a wonderful product that does exactly what they claim. I heartily recommend this to anyone who is suffering from dry itchy ears. Thank You Hyland!!!!

HYLAND's Naturals DRY EAR RELIEF OIL Recently, my left ear always compelled me to scratch an itch. I suspected a microbe conveyed by my ear buds had set up shop. My constant rubbing created a sore spot that I would struggle to refrain from touching to avoid spreading infection. All of the natural remedies researched online failed to resolve the issue. Though I haven't used synthetic pharmaceuticals for over 30 years, I was almost going to schedule an appointment at a ear, nose and throat specialist. Thankfully, I was referred to HYLAND's DRY EAR RELIEF OIL. Sold on the list of non-toxic ingredients including oils such as apricot kernel, sesame, argan, hemp, Abyssinian, squalene, lecithin as well as aloe, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, and caprylic acid, a trial seemed near risk free, especially since all items were blood type compatible. At bedtime, I put a few drops of the oil blend into my left ear then slept on my right side so the oil would not drain out. Outstanding outcome! The blend was powerful enough to resolve the issue in one application. Good to have this product on hand. Now EAR OIL RELIEF will be my immediate 'go to' at the first sign of any outer ear canal imbalance. Undeniable that ear bud hygiene becomes another best practice.
