I was surprised at how powerful this ball was and was skeptical that it would provide adequate pain relief.... boy was I wrong! I have used it to relieve the pain of plantar fasciitis after a workout and it works wonders. I have used it by placing it between my back and the desk chair at work, to relieve neck tension. It hasn't disappointed in any area of pain and tension relief as of yet. It has three speed or power settings which I normally only set it to the lower setting and sometimes the second. It is the perfect size for handheld use and to carry with you on the go. The battery lasts just enough to get the job done. It has a rubberized texture that is easy to clean. Out of the box it does have a strange smell because of the rubber but goes away after time. Definitely a good purchase as a gift or for yourself for those times you cant make it to a masseuse or tension relief at the workplace.
