I always looked at HyperIce as one of the first premium massage gun companies on the market and they have made some nice products! But of course other massage guns have come out with some nice looks and features since then to challenge HyperIce. However, with the release of their new Hypervolt 3 Pro I am firmly in the camp this is the best of the best! PROS: - As soon as I opened this everything about it screamed premium. The Carrying case is really nice by being light but durable. Seeing the massage gun itself I was very impressed. It has a great elegant look to and has some weight to it even though seeming much smaller than their past versions. - I absolutely love the new “dial” design of the gun as well. You turn it on and twist the dial to get different speeds which is really user friendly as well as giving a wide range of speed options right from the dial. - Another thing I was really impressed by was the noise, this thing is very quiet!! I compared it to my old massage gun and its lightyears quieter and just impressive with how powerful it can get. Even though this is quiet, it does not hold back on power. It can pack a lot of “massage” power to your body and was great to see. - I also like how the main attachment head covers more area so that it can disperse its massage on a bigger area at once rather than being really specific. However, of course, that is remedied by the variety of attachments it has so it can be more specific if needed or softer if needed too. - The heated head attachment is also one I have found really useful as a way to loosen and ease my muscle aches and I like how that attachment comes standard and is not an add on. - The battery lasts a long time on a single charge and is very clear when I need to charge it! CONS: - I would have liked a little more ergonomics in the handle to reach hard places on your own. - Also it’s 2026, how is this not charged by USB C?! BOTTOM LINE: - HyperIce continues to show why they are a premiere brand in this home health space by producing its best massage gun yet with its Hypervolt 3 Pro. It’s is its best looking product yet, packs a lot of power while being the quietest massage gun I’ve used, and comes with a lot of attachments to help get whatever ache you need. I really love the new dial approach to quickly change the speeds and its easy to power own and off quickly too. This is a fantastic massage gun from HyperIce that I think you will start seeing a lot in homes, personal trainers, chiropractors, and wellness people all around!

    The recovery powerhouse

I’ve been athletically inclined from a very young age. Even now, as a middle aged man, I still exercise six days a week religiously, but as the body ages, pain is easy to come by. I use percussion massagers to remedy my body pains and maintain my body. The Hypervolt Pro 3 from HyperIce is my newest percussion massager. So far, it has been an impressive performer. It comes in a sturdy carrying case with a premium feel. There are 5 massage attachments that cover all muscle groups and bony areas. My two favorites are the cushion attachment for the bony areas, and the heated head that actually heats up. The Hypervolt 3 Pro has a professional grade feel once you hold it. It’s solidly built with a simple modern design, and has a bit of a weight that exudes quality. The charging port is a DC barrel jack type to be used with the included charger. There are no usb-c options. A brief note about the charger, it comes with three additional types of prong plates compatible with plugs in Europe, the UK and Australia, ideal for the traveler. Using the Hypervolt 3 Pro has been a great experience. It’s simple to use. At the back sits the power button in the middle of a digital 6-speed dial. Underneath the power button, are three LED lights that serve as a pressure indicator which proved to be precise and so useful. I own other premium percussion massagers from other competitors, and the Hypervolt 3 Pro distinguishes itself with how quiet it is. I was pleasantly surprised that even at the maximum speed I could comfortably listen to a podcast or watch TV without the need to increase the volume. I usually do between 10 to 15-minute sessions twice a day, 6 days a week and the battery always has plenty of juice left after a week. The 5 attachments are easy to remove and replace and stay solidly attached. The only criticism came from my wife who found the weight to become noticeable during her extended massage sessions, and her smaller hands would tire out after holding the thick handle for a long period of time. As for me, the Hypervolt 3 Pro has become my favorite percussion massager. It is built for performance, and it does it all quietly and effectively. It worked at relieving my pains and at preventing others. You can take it everywhere with the carrying case, and come with every attachment you’ll ever need, and it will connect anywhere you travel. If you take your physical maintenance seriously, this is the precision instrument for you.

I’ve been using this product for a while now and it has helped tremendously with muscle recovery. I’ve been able to use it on key areas of my legs and shoulders after a workout to help ease muscle pain. What I’m really impressed on is how long the battery has lasted. I literally charge it once or twice a week and it lasts for several uses. The app has just released with this particular model, so I really plan to use it when it’s updated and synced well. What I do like is the promise like other models that show the intensity level of force. It’ll be really nice to track and monitor that. It offers deep muscle relief helping my body recover faster from jogging. The cool thing is you don’t have to use it just for muscle relief from working out. I have a desk job brought this to work. It was really nice using this on my legs after sitting at my desk for 3 hours. Instant relief! It’s one of the best massage guns on my calfs. Seriously feels good under a low or medium setting. The full power is a little intense, but still manageable. They advertise you can use this for: muscle recovery, soreness, improve flexibility, stress reduction, optimize workouts and injury prevention. So far I’ve used this for recovery and muscle soreness. I really want to YouTube tips about using it for stress relief! Pros: Hot or cool feature Multiple head attachments Long charge Quick to charge App Speed control Travel case Multiple head attachments Cons: A bit heavy when using Overall: Ok, so I know it’s about 2 lbs, but it felt a little heavy in my hand when it was powered on. It’s not a deal breaker, but I was surprised. It’s a tad expensive, but I can definitely say it’s one of the better percussion recovery guns.

    High-Powered Tension Relief

    - Unboxing and Setup Arriving prepackaged and ready to use, the Hypervolt 3 Pro needs little more than an initial charge (using one of the four provided AC adapter heads to cover most global power sources with a universal DC charger) to begin using. Getting started is as simple as popping the desired head on or off, powering on the gun, and using the rotating dial at the back of the upper shaft to set the speed. No need to pair with a phone, and six white LEDs around the power button show current speed intuitively. Kudos to Hyperice for including a no-frills, easy-to-understand user interface that doesn’t need an app to use its core features. - Massaging The Hypervolt 3 Pro’s motor is the star of the show here. Even on its lowest of six speed settings, the pace at which it can pump the head back and forth was almost too much to bear the first time I used it, before I learned the finesse needed for a comfortable, effective deep tissue massage. It’s as powerful as it is quiet in use, and as I slowly worked up to higher speeds on tougher knots and sore muscles I found it more comfortable to use. My wife and I both used the Hypervolt 3 Pro for rejuvenating tired leg muscles after long work shifts on our feet, but we put it to the test when she seemingly pulled a muscle on one side of her lower back (a cautionary tip: don’t use the massager directly on the spine or anywhere with little muscle between the bone and skin). I could feel the apparent knot, and after slowly “buffing” the spot using speed settings 1-3 for about 15 minutes, her pain was almost completely alleviated and an hour later and I couldn’t feel the knot. Your mileage may vary, but for a deep massage to work out muscle pain we couldn’t ask for more. - Ergonomics What most differentiates the Hypervolt 3 Pro from the other models in the range is the selection of included massaging heads, each of which has a different shape and contour to adapt to the muscles you’re working with the massager. These are especially useful on the legs and neck, making harder-to-reach areas easier to self-massage and hold the massage gun in place. The trouble I have with the massage gun is in its weight distribution. As light as the Hypervolt 3 Pro is for how powerful of a motor it has, the majority of the weight is in the upper shaft of the massage gun, so it’s fairly tiring to hold with one hand for more than a moment or two. My wife and I found it much easier to massage each other rather than ourselves because it frees a second hand to grip the upper shaft (as if using an orbital buffer/sander), making it far easier to hold a single position or slowly and carefully work across a large muscle group. Though I’m not sure what Hyperice could have done differently to better balance the weight of the gun, the previous Hypervolt 2 Pro’s cross-shape was a better design for single-person use. The weight of the motor is just too much to have on the upper shaft with a pistol-grip design. - Hyperice App The Hyperice companion app (available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store) pairs with the Hypervolt 3 Pro to track your sessions with the massage gun, as well as guide you through various warmup, recovery, and relief patterns or routines to fit your training style. It also pairs with other Hyperice brand equipment to build out longer, more focused routines for all different training styles. I can see this being very useful both novices and hobbyists alike, as it covers a wide range of active lifestyles and has detailed animations and descriptions to get the most out of the Hypervolt. Unfortunately that’s about where my praise of the app ends…for two key issues. The lesser of the two is that the Discover section and app connections in general feel more like advertisements than anything else. This ties into my biggest gripe of all - the Hyperice app requires a separate Hyperice account, rather than allowing for a single sign-on with a Google, Apple, Microsoft, or other provider that allows you to fine-tune what data is handed to the manufacturer. For a health and wellness application I find this particularly appalling. - Bottom Line It’s probably overkill by the use case of a common home massager, but if deep tissue massaging is something your lifestyle stands to benefit from, the Hypervolt 3 Pro is a powerful and flexible massage gun held back only by iffy ergonomics and its (optional) companion app. I feel the earlier Hypervolt 2’s ergonomics are a major reason why they did so well, but my wife and I still do enjoy the Hypervolt 3 Pro - it’s just that it works far better when you’re massaging someone else than trying to massage yourself. Conditionally recommended!

The HyperIce Hypervolt 3 Pro is a wonderful massage gun. I do not have one complaint about this device. This is the second massage gun that I’ve owned from them, and this one is definitiely a step above the last one and the rest of the ones out there. You can choose to use this with the app or without the app. If you’re using it with the app, the app will control the settings on the Hypervolt. The app has many different guides, whether you want to massage your lower back, your calves, your biceps, or your shoulders. This is hands down one of the best. It also has a heated head, which feels pretty good, especially on the tops of your traps after a good workout. To set it up is a breeze. Take it out, charge it, and then if you’re not using the app, you are ready to go. If you are using the app, then open up the app, click the Hypervolt, then proceed to which area you want to focus on, turn on the Hypervolt, and it will connect to your phone. This is super user-friendly and a great tool.

The Rolls Royce of percussion massage machines

This percussion massage machine was surprising and huge step up from my previous percussion machine. The things I like first. Having an infinite number of speed settings lets you dial in exactly the right speed. My old machine only had pre-set speeds which sometimes was too slow, but more often, too fast. This one lets you get it "just right" so all you need to worry about is the amount of pressure to apply. The number and shape of the included massage heads means you can massage just about any muscle anywhere. Curved, concave, flat, V shape, and my favorite by far - a heated element. It gets somewhat warm, but I wish it would get warmer. I understand the limitations of its battery being built-in and separate from the machine's battery. While this is NOT a negative for me, it would be a wish list item if they are looking for feedback from users. Make it warmer and give it a variable heat setting. My other wish is that it would be nice to make it lighter, but I am sure the weight is a trade-off with power and length of battery life. It does fit nicely in the hand and is balanced and easy to use. It is packed in a nice travel case which keeps it safe. I have only used it for a few weeks, but so far, I am thrilled with it as a huge step up from my older Theragun. Definitely recommended!

Over the years, I have used several brands of percussion massagers. The HyperIce Hypervolt 3 Pro is easily the best one I have ever used. The build quality is absolutely top notch. The feel and aesthetic is premium and you just have that feeling that you have something quality when you hold it in your hand. The attachments are all high quality and there is one included for just about everything. Plus you even get an attachment with heating capabilities which is awesome. I have been using this for my forearms, in-between my shoulder blades and lower back. It has been working amazing! I have had a lot on tension around my shoulders and the Hypervolt 3 has been so nice and has relieved a lot of pain and stiffness I have been having. The app is nice if you need some guidance on various ways to use the Hypervolt based on your specific issue. It's nice to have a resource like that especially if you want to learn what each attachment is designed for. Overall, I really love the Hypervolt 3 Pro. It is so good at working tight muscles and relieving pain. 100% recommend!!
