Small and basic but gets the job done

The HyperVolt Go 3 massager is a more compact and portable sized alternative to my larger Hypervolt percussion massager. It is both smaller and lighter than my full-sized HyperVolt massager, yet capable of providing robust massage therapy similar to the larger model, just without the extra bells and whistles.
The Go 3 set includes the massager, charging cable, and two head attachments stored inside a zippered case. The semi-rigid carrying case is handy for transporting the entire Go 3 set safely and efficiently. It also provides excellent protected storage when the device is not in use.
Operation is straightforward and uncomplicated. For a typical session, I start by securely inserting the desired head attachment and power on the unit by pressing the power button. I then set my desired speed/intensity using the dial and start massaging the targeted muscle area. I manually power the massager off when finished by pressing the button again.
The two included attachments are easily interchangeable on the Go 3. The flat head attachment is recommended for dense muscle groups like glutes and quads. The wedge head attachment is recommended for large, long muscles like hamstrings and calves. I frequently experiment using both heads on different muscle groups to determine which actually feels best and/or provides the greatest relief.
The Go 3 has the power and ability to provide effective deep-tissue percussion massage therapy. The full-sized HyperVolt massager has Bluetooth connectivity, more attachments, and more robust massage capabilities. The Go 3 does not have Bluetooth connectivity and Hyperice app sync, and the majority of the guided routines within the Hyperice app are geared towards HyperVolt attachments that aren’t included with the Go model.
Despite lacking Bluetooth and some of the other advantages of the larger HyperVolt, I find myself using the Go more frequently than the full-sized HyperVolt. The smaller size and more convenient handling of the Go 3 are better tradeoffs for my current usage scenario. I mainly use the Go 3 on my traps and cervical neck muscles daily because those are currently my two biggest areas of need. The small lightweight design of the unit makes it easier for me to adequately treat those areas. I may not have the app driven routines, but I usually prefer to pick up a massager and manually treat the needed areas anyhow.
The Go 3 does not get overly warm during use and remains a comfortable operating temperature even when operating at higher speeds. Noise levels are tolerable in most uses, particularly at lower intensities. At lower speeds, the whirring motorized sound is non-intrusive and little more than white noise, much like a small quiet portable fan. The sound gets noticeably louder at higher speeds. At the highest speeds, it could be loud enough to distract others nearby, but only in smaller quieter environments like a bedroom.
Battery life is sufficient enough to typically last me through several daily uses. Depending on frequency of use, it usually lasts me a week or longer between charges. A 40-inch USB-C to A charging cable is included, and the charging/power status light is vivid and easy to see to determine charging status.
The Go 3 is best for portability and straightforward unguided treatment. It lacks the guided app driven routines which may be more suitable for new users and those requiring a more guided approach. But for those already familiar with percussion guns or willing to learn how to properly use one, it is still a solid treatment option. It also lacks the extra attachments that ship with the larger model, but in my case it gets the job done with the two included attachments. I also have the option of switching to the larger model whenever needed, so I suggest assessing specific needs before deciding between the two. However, if looking for a good quality lightweight basic massager, particularly for the muscle groups mentioned above, the Go 3 is more than sufficient.

Included- massage gun, 2 head attachments, charging cord, and carry case
My first impression of thr Hypervolt Go 3 was that I was very excited to own this product. The massage gun is going to be easily portable with the nice travel case. The size and weight of the Hypervolt Go 3 is also perfect to manage for myself because it's compact and lightweight. It would be so easy to pack up and travel with, to the gym, off to college or on a trip.
The instruction booklet instructs you to fully charge th massage gun before its first use. There is a LED light band that will indicate a full charge when it is green. Meanwhile, download the Hyperice App to fully integrate and maximize your experience. Once fully charged, choose between either the wedge head or flat head attachment. Turning on the Hypervolt Go 3 is so simple. Press the power button centered on the back. Once you see the lights turn on, turn the speed dial clockwise to choose what speed you would like. The white dots will indicate the speed. There are five levels to choose from to customize the massage.
The app was easy to download and navigate. You can register and pair your Hypervolt. There are routines on there that can help you manage different areas of pain, therapy, and warm up or do post workout recovery.
This is my second Hyperice Hypervolt and it doesn't disappoint. I trust the brand because the performance is always reliable and the massage gun always feels so good. I like the speed dial on this one because it makes it very easy to use and switch between speed levels. The two different head attachments are very easy to switch in and out becaues it's just a pull or push movement. The gun is light enough to easily massage yourself for extended periods of time. My muscles always feel so much better after using the Hyperice Hypervolt Go. And the travel kit makes it easy and convenient to always take with you anywhere. I highly recommend it.

Hyperice Hypervolt Go 3: Powerful "thumper"

The Hyperice Hypervolt Go 3 is a little gem of a thumper. Small yet powerful, it comes with 2 head attachments - a flat and a wedge. I didn't think I would care for the wedge, but it has quickly become my favorite. - it feels "gooood" while using it and after. To change the attachments, you simply pull one off and then push on the other. It also comes with a really nice case with a handle that carries the gun, attachments, instruction booklet and the charging cord. It also adds an element of protection to your investment. The thumper itself is relatively lightweight which is very helpful to me as an older person with arthritic hands. I am able to hold and use this as I need/want. Charging is done via the included USB-C cord that inserts into the bottom of the device. A full charge should last up to 4 hours. This massage gun has 5 speeds, which give you plenty of massaging power. You easily change the speeds with a simple turn of the dial located at the back of the gun.
I use this mainly for relaxation. It helps to rid my body of some muscle tightness/soreness and tension, and it helps with cramping in my calves and the bottom of my feet. The best for me, is to have someone else "thump" my back. IYKYK! After using it, I get a really wonderful feeling in those areas - like they're telling me "thank you".
Easy to use and carry in the provided case, lightweight and with 5 powerful speeds, the Hyperice Hypervolt Go 3 is an exceptional device. Smaller than others I have seen, this is convenient to take on-the-go or stash out of sight next to your favorite chair. I absolutely love this massage gun and would highly recommend it to anyone.

The Hyperice Hypervolt Go 3 is a great tool for an athlete that is always on the go. Massage and therapy in the palm of my hand to keep me performing well at my designated sport. Clean design and easy to use operation.
I have really liked the ease of use with this massage gun. I feel like it’s the perfect size and weight for handling and maneuvering along my body. I am a former NCAA division 1 athlete that now continues to run into my forties. I rely on my Hypervolt Go 3 to loosen up before a workout of usually 6-10 mile runs. This massage gun feels light and easy to grip and I can easily hit my legs, arms, neck, and back before and after my intense workouts. This tool helps to aid recovery and keep me loose for my next workout.
The dial feature is very easy to control and manage the speed I desire. The quiet operation is nice as it doesn’t disturb others around me while we watch tv in the evenings on the couch. The handy carrying case works well to keep this portable and in my travel bag to use at home and on the outdoor track. The multi change head attachments allow for different types of percussion massage with a flat head and a pointed shaped head. Both work very well across tense muscles.
Overall a great tool for muscle relief and recovery. Athletes should have this massage gun for maximizing their sport recovery. The massage gun looks sleek and very professional. I feel like I can perform better as an athlete by having this simple personal tool in my bag at all times.

All the power of a Hypervolt in a compact size

We have an original Hypervolt from a few years ago and it has been great. I have four athletes that play multiple sports so it gets a lot of use in our house. When we saw this one and had the opportunity to get it we jumped all over it.
What we really like about the new Hypervolt Go 3 is its compact size and the carrying case it comes with. This works great when we are at softball tournaments all weekend and can have this in our cart to be able to use on the girls throughout the day. It only comes with two attachments but so far that hasn't been a problem as the two attachments are the ones we would most commonly have used anyways.
As far as battery goes so far the battery life has been great to last multiple hours over the course of a weekend on and off using it for a few minutes at a time to loosen up muscles. Also the fact that it uses a USBC to charge unlike our previous hypervolt that required an AC plug allows us to recharge it from our cars or portable battery packs as well.
Overall we are very happy with this one and it is a great addition to our sports bag and sports carts for those long weekends of softball as well as when we have gymnastics competitions for one of our other daughters who is a competitive gymnast.

Hyperice is a world renowned manufacturer of products that relieve tension & unlock sore muscles. The newly released Hypervolt Go 3 is light weight, portable & is best suited for on-the-go use. It measures 5-9/16" L x 2-5/16" W x 7" D & weighs 1.5 lb., so it easily fits in your backpack, or any type of bag you carry. Take it with you to the friendly skies, as it is TSA approved for carry-on. It includes a carry case with handle, a USB-A to USB-C charging cord & 2) attachment heads (flat & wedge).
Hypervolt Go 3 has 3 levels of percussion. The brushless high-torque 40W motor delivers amazing power! It feels as powerful to me as the larger, heavier models & I prefer it because it is so lightweight & easy to carry. Despite the power, it is virtually silent, due to the patented QuietGlide technology. The internal Li-ion battery provides 3 hours of deep tissue percussion.
CONCLUSION:
Hypervolt Go 3 is the perfect size. It is the ideal travel companion due to its small size, light weight & strong power. It earns my highest recommendation.

Excellent Massage Gun

The HyperIce Hypervolt Go 3 is a very nice portable massage gun. It comes with the gun, a carrying case, two different massage heads, and a charging cable. The two different heads are a rounded, flatter head, and a wedge. For a percussion massager, it is relatively small and lightweight. Easy enough to keep in a gym bag or backpack. It features 5 different levels of intensity, which covers a nice range. There is a companion app that can guide you through massage programs depending on which muscles you want to target or what kind of exercises you have done. If you give it permission to your health data, it can even automatically recommend programs based on your activities for the day. I did receive this product before it's initial release, so I wasn't able to test if it can connect directly to the app or not, so I can't really comment on that specifically. However, I don't see much more use in being able to connect directly to the app. As long as you can access the app on your phone, you have access to the different guided programs. Ultimately, I will just use the gun manually anyway, but it's nice to have the option to use the app as well if you need a little more guidance. The gun works very well. The highest intensity isn't as intense as some other full sized massage guns I've used, but it's definitely enough to get the job done after a good workout. And the battery life is amazing. I was able to use it all week almost every day without charging it. They claim 4 hours of battery life depending on massage intensity. Overall, this is a really great massage gun that you can keep in a gym bag and will offer a good massage after a quick workout. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent portable Massager!

The Hypervolt Go 3 is a fantastic percussion massager that offers good power in a small package.
From this point on, I’m just going to call it the HG3. The HG3 looks and feels like a quality made product. The outer layer of the device has a TPU rubber grip all around the massager, making it easy to hold. The shape fits perfectly in my hand, it has good weight and balance to it, so massaging feels natural and is easy to maneuver. The bottom of the grip has an LED light that shines the color of the batter level. For example: green is charged, yellow is half and red is low battery.
The back of the unit has the power button and a twist knob that lets you control the level intensity of the massager. There are 5 different levels of intensity, for me, the 3rd level is the sweet spot as it provides enough torque that feels good, without hurting me. Twisting the knob to adjust the level feels natural and is very convenient, there are also little LED lights to indicate which level you’re at. The HG3 does a great job at balancing the power and intensity of the unit without making it overpowerful. Not to mention it is very quiet, even at max levels the unit just makes a soft hum. The battery of the unit is great; it claims to last up to 4 hours on a single charge. I can’t confirm that, as I haven’t let it run for 4 hrs straight, but I can say it has lasted a good amount of time. I have used it for several intervals for about 5+ minutes each and the battery is still on green.
One of my favorite things about the HG3 is how portable it is, the included carrying case lets me fit everything inside of it and is small enough to fit in my glove box. Being so small and light weight makes it great to travel with.
The HG3 is a fantastic massager it offers many innovating features, is made of high quality. It is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a new portable massager.

Big Recovery, Small Package

I am writing this from the perspective of someone already accustomed to the deep-tissue strength and smart features of the Theragun Elite, stepping into the world of Hyperice’s compact percussion devices with the imagined Hypervolt Go 3 feels like trading a full-service recovery SUV for a high-performance sports car: smaller, nimbler, yet still surprisingly effective. The Hypervolt Go 2 — and by extension, what we’d expect from the Go 3 — clocks in at around 1.5 pounds with just two attachments and three speed settings (about 2,200–3,200 RPM), delivering roughly 10 mm of amplitude and decent percussive force for its form factor while remaining ultra-quiet and ergonomic in the hand. Its compact size makes it a true go-with-you-everywhere tool, whether that’s into training, competitions, or travel, and the lightweight build means less arm fatigue over extended self-massage sessions compared with bulkier guns. It routinely outlasts its charge against larger competitors with up to three hours of battery life — a noteworthy edge for athletes who use it multiple times in a week — though its limited attachment set and absence of app connectivity or advanced controls temper its versatility.
In contrast, the Theragun Elite you already know brings a more robust suite of features to the table. The Elite’s deeper amplitude (about 16 mm) and broader range of five speeds and five specialized attachments allow for deeper, more varied tissue work, which many athletes find essential for stubborn knots, dense muscle groups, or post-heavy training recovery. Its Bluetooth connectivity and app integration also turn it into a more guided recovery experience, with real-time feedback and customizable sessions that can help shape precise warm-ups or cool-downs. That said, these advanced features come with increased weight and size, making the Elite noticeably larger in your kit and less convenient when you’re on the move or flying with limited baggage space.
Pros for the compact Hypervolt line — and what you might expect the Go 3 to refine — include portability, quiet operation, solid battery life, and straightforward usability, making it ideal for quick muscle relief, travel, and everyday soreness without the bulk or learning curve that larger devices sometimes demand. Cons tend to center around limited attachments, fewer intensity controls, and lack of smart features or app feedback, which can make it feel less “deep” or customizable compared with a flagship unit like the Elite. For athletes who rely on guided protocols or need aggressive deep-tissue work after demanding sessions, this gap is noticeable but could narrow over time with iterations to the app itself. .
Meanwhile, the Theragun Elite earns its place by offering deeper penetration, multiple speed settings, smarter feedback, and a wider range of massage head options, helping you fine-tune recovery on different muscle groups and intensities. The trade-off is size and weight, which feels heavier in your arm during full sessions and doesn’t slip into gear bags quite as effortlessly as a mini model. It’s also a more expensive investment, though many athletes justify its price through the depth of recovery it facilitates and the precision tools included.
In real-world use, if the Hypervolt Go 3 truly builds on the Go 2’s strengths with incremental improvements while keeping that pocket-friendly footprint, you could easily see it becoming your “everyday” go-to for quick warm-ups or cooldowns, while the Theragun Elite stays in your recovery lineup for deeper sessions, heavy-training blocks, or nuanced treatment of tight or problematic areas. For athletes juggling performance gains, recovery schedules, and travel logistics, having both tools means covering the full spectrum: rapid, on-the-move relief from the compact Hypervolt and comprehensive, deep-tissue therapy from the Theragun Elite.

The hyperice hypervolt go 3 has changed the way I recover after workouts.
The design of the massage gun is sleek. It is easy and comfortable to hold as the handle isn’t too large and it has a rubberized texture. It is also very compact and would fit easily in a gym bag or backpack. Speaking of which, it comes with a very compact carrying case which I also appreciate. It also comes with two massage heads and a charging cable. Really impressed with the overall build quality.
For such a small device, this thing can really pack a punch. While it only has 5 speed settings on the device, I found that to be more than enough options. Side note, I love the mechanism to change the speed, the rotational click is very satisfying. I mostly do compound lifts and isolation workouts, and this device has really helped with my recovery after tough lifts. It’s percussive but for me it never gets painful, which is a problem I’ve had with percussive massagers in the past. I mostly used the round head attachment, but the flat head attachment seems to be good for getting out knots. It has more than enough power—I’ve rarely gotten to the highest setting on this thing.
The icing on the cake is the app. The app offers a number of features, the best being the guided recovery routines. And best yet, it doesn’t appear to be paywalled or anything!
Overall this is a great product that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a portable percussive massage gun.

The HyperIce Hypervolt Go 3 has been an absolute game changer in my daily routine. I lift weights 4-5 days a week, at my age that often leaves you pretty sore! The HyperIce Hypervolt Go 3 has been an amazing way to find some relief! My favorite thing about this device is how extremely portable it is. I keep it in my gym bag so that I can use it right after a workout, or even to use before a workout if a particular area is too tight or sore. The small footprint and low weight of this device make it an excellent choice for someone on the move! I keep it at work as well, because you never know when something might flare up and need a little relief. The battery life is surprisingly long, I rarely have to charge the device and I use it several times a week. It even includes massage attachment options to help you tailor your session to your exact needs. This device has already saved me many times, and I am confident it will continue to do so for years to come. If you are looking for an excellent massager that you can easily take with you everywhere, look no further!

I've been using these percussion massagers for awhile now and can surely say these are truly muat have devices for anyone regardless of their workout regime.
There's a number of players in this space but Hyperice and Therabody are the two big ones that come to mind. Having used both brands/models before, there are some differences between the two but, moreso than anything, really just boils down to personal preference.
This one from Hyperice is their smaller/portable model. It's not quite as a full blown kit model like their Pro model, but it gives you a couple different percussion heads and case to get to know this little massager.
Power wise, I think it's one of the better ones out there. You get a nice strong pulse from this each time and the battery liife on this is quite nice as well. I'm usually getting about 2-3 days worth of power on average usage before needing to charge again. Still though, as long as I've had/used these, never really had an issue with power/battery life.
Whether you workout a lot or just have some nagging muscle cramps every now and then, go get yourself one of these and you won't be sorry

Everyone seems to have a massage gun, and for good reason! These handheld devices can give you that quick relief you need while minimizing the effort. Whether you are an athlete, an outdoor enthusiast, or just someone that can use a massage on demand, a massage gun is a tool you should have at your disposal.
With a flooded market of options out there, should you chose the HyperIce Hypervolt Go 3 to throw your money at? The answer is...well...maybe. I know, that's not the definitive answer you were looking for. But a true answer is typically more complicated than yes or no.
My biggest complaint about my previous budget massage gun was that it just stopped working. So essentially it became a paperweight. So my first requirement out of my new massage gun is that it works. Which this Hypervolt definitely does! Will it continue to work for years to come? I hope so and I am a lot more confident that this product is of higher quality than my last.
Outside of basically working, what else could a person want? Well my experience with the three different massage guns that I have tried are that they essentially all hit the same. Same force, same frequency. Attachments may vary and you will have to experiment with what you like. So the real differences appear to be sound and battery life. When it comes to sound, the Hypervolt Go 3 is by far the quietest of the three I have tried. There is no real annoying hum or mechanical sounds to distract from the massage at hand. And the battery life? Superb! Your mileage may vary, however over a month I have been working off of two charges and using it 2-3 times a week.
The real difference in the Hypervolt line is the companion HyperIce app. This app is made to walk you through massage treatment plans to make sure you get the most out of your massage gun. It essentially turns the massage gun into your personal massage therapist. Unfortunately, at the time of this review the Hypervolt 3 line has not been integrated into the app yet so I was not able to see all the benefits of the app, however I can definitely see the potential. Unrelated, there is also an add on attachment that adds heat to the Hypervolt massage guns, however I have not received confirmation on whether it directly swaps with the Hypervolt 3 generation of guns.
Is the HyperIce Hypervolt Go 3 a game changer in the massage gun field? By itself, no. With the app when completed? Maybe. Would I recommend this Hypervolt to people that I care about? Definitely. It feels like quality and I am way more confident in the longevity of this massage gun and I believe it will provide way more relieving massages than any previous gun I have owned.

Love the Go for its compact size. It makes it easy to bring to the gym if I want to hit something after, but mainly I find myself bringing it in the car for after some super long walks where my calves are dying. It’s been a lifesaver when you feel the crazy burn and contemplate if you can drive home. The Go comes with a flat and angled head. Would have loved the fork head but know there wasn’t room for it in the portable carrier. Probably the biggest downside once you get into the app is not having all the attachments. Still it’s fairly easy to substitute what you do have and the two chosen probably cover 75% of what you’d want.
The app itself is definitely worth looking into as it has various instructional series based on what you’re trying to target. It includes a timer based approach coupled with videos that show where you should be applying pressure and it’s easy to follow along. I think most generally just grab it and apply where it’s tight, but it’s nice to see potential approaches for specific areas.
