Been using it for 2 months now. The heat and compression is great. Being able to do ice and cold without the mess is a plus.

I have been an avid supporter of the hyperice products in the past. Very fond of the hyperice x knee pad, and the normatic 3 legs system. However, this new installement of the hyperice x2 knee pads has me scratching my head. The compression system makes the fan cubs tear apart. After using them for one week they started tearing. The materials they are using is not enough to maintain stability. After this I had no option but to return them. I think they have to go back to the drawing board on this one.

    Surprisingly cold/amazingly warm recovery brace

I have had several knee surgeries (bone and cartilage repairs and reconstruction). My knee gets extra sore in the winter when the weather turns cold. I was looking for something that could heat my knee up. I did some research and found this brace. It does heat (like I wanted) but also adds cooling and compression which would be useful for recovery after physical therapy. I saw this was Gen 2 of the brace...which I typically prefer as Gen 1 has issues they usually fix in a later generation. The brace gets surprisingly cold (and the fans aren't as loud as I thought they'd be). The compression is great as you can use it to help keep the brace in contact with your knee for optimal heat transfer. And contrast therapy is a great tool for pain reduction. I took a star off because the battery life indicator is hilariously inaccurate (at least from the few times I've cycled it). It had 4 lights for a while, then it went to 3....and suddenly went down to 0 in short order. So don't trust the lights...just go off total time on battery. It also works plugged in. This brace is not really designed for walking or athletic use, its a brace for recovery and comfort.

I’ve used the original Hyperice knee for sometime and decided to buy this because of the extended battery life and it did not disappoint! Battery life is significantly better. Additionally, I didn’t realize that this version also has compression. I used it for the first time and it was amazing!! I have knee issues and it is so much better than messing with ice packs! It also does heat and contrast therapy.

Works Great for Pain, But Build Quality Could Be B

I bought the Hyperice X 2 mainly for my runner’s knee and old meniscus pain (had surgery years ago), and it honestly helped a lot. The contrast therapy really reduces inflammation, and my knee feels way better after using it. Only downside is the build quality. The vent/fan area glue started coming off on my first unit, so I had to return it and exchange for another one. Hoping this replacement lasts longer because the product itself works great. If you deal with knee pain, swelling, or post-workout inflammation, this thing definitely helps — just wish it was made a little better.

It seems to work well and there has been improvement in the knee since we’ve owned this item the past three weeks. I’m glad we went for the X 2 which includes compression because that really seems to help the heat penetrate further down. The app is glitchy and really doesn’t seem to work, but you can just use the control pad that is on the device.

Great recovery tool for your knee, especially if you are very active. It does heat, cold & compression. Wouldn't buy it just for compression as it really not a compression device like the other Hyperice compressions I have bought.

After my husband had knee surgery he was still in pain. This machine gives the perfect amount of heat , cold, and compression to make his pain go away. Best part is you can use it plugged in or take it on the go.

Have been using it as a recovery device after workouts especially running. Allows my knees to recover quickly for the next day's run. Like the hot/cold contrast and compression features.

I’ve had knee pain for a while now due to boxing 4 days a week and coaching soccer daily. This does a great job targeting the knee with hot and cold, and the compression is a nice addition.
