The picture quality is decent and it works with ps1 and ps2 games, however the audio quality is quite poor with static. You may want to look for more expensive options, or just try to stick with regular composite/component cables.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Works extremely well. The graphics felt more or less the same quality (i did not use it on a 4k tv) but it eliminated the need for av cables which were not compatible with my current TV. I believe if you're having trouble with lost color its not the cable. switch it from rgb to the other one or vice versa in the ps2 menu thats there when its on and no disc is inserted and that will give you your color back :)
