I purchased this headset after my SteelSeries Siberia Elite Prism broke after a light drop. Went to Best Buy a few hours later and bought this headset. Immediately I realized that it was better. First of all the comfort is amazing. I can wear this for hours and not even feel like I'm wearing it. The sound is great (7.1 surround sound is a nice touch on a headset for this price however few games really support and it and utilize it at all. The mic being deattachable is nice (personally I don't use it) but it is nice. The different set of ear cushions are greatly appreciated and something even my twice as expensive headset didn't offer. But one at half the price has it. The sound card is nice because it makes the mic usable in certain programs which other wise can't be used I using 3.5mm jacks. It still keeps the 3.5mm connectivity for use in phones, PlayStation 4 among other things. If you want a good headset for below $100 I can strongly recommend this headset over anything else. Thanks for reading my review and I hope you found it helpfull. PS this headset can easily rival headsets at 3 times the cost.

    Fantastic Gaming Headset

I looked long and hard for a headset that met all of my essentials. I was looking for a headset to partner with my black and red laptop, and was attracted to the red and black style of this headset. The headset itself is built like a tank. It is an all metal build that feels very sturdy without being too heavy. Its leather headrest is very comfortable. The ear cups some in leather or suede, both of which are very comfortable, however I prefer leather. I have worn them for over eight hours at a time, and they have never gotten itchy or uncomfortable at all, as my last headset did. The detachable mic is, as I'm told by my friends, very clear and crisp sounding. I personally find it a very intelligent feature to be able to detach it completely rather than push it away. It is compatible with PC/Console, which is something that not all headsets do, and is a pivotal selling point to some people. The braided cable is very robust and is surprisingly thick. It doesn't tangle often at all, but when you manage to tangle it, the thick cable can be a bit of a pain to work with, especially when it's twisted. The volume/mic volume-mute/surround sound on-off switch attached to the cable is well placed. Something I really appreciate is that when you want, you can detach the headset from the cable. You are left with a cable that is close to 3 feet rather than 6 or 7, however, you are losing surround sound, as the switch double as a sound card. Essentially, you are converting a 6-7 foot surround sound headset into a 3 foot stereo headset. Overall a fantastic product that is very well priced and worth the buy. Would recommend to anyone.

If you're like me and have problems wearing headsets because they hurt your face (and because you have a pretty large skull), then look no further! These babies are SUPER light, they don't put pressure on my jaw when I talk, and they have an incredible sound quality! Originally I had bought a gaming headset from JBL (because JBL has spectacular sound quality for all of their products), but the headset was so heavy on my face. I would only be wearing them for a few minutes before it felt like my head was being squeezed and my jaw felt like it had just been through a root canal. Thankfully my boyfriend had me try his Cloud II's and I fell in love instantly. I bought mine the next day and tried them out. Obviously when they came they were a little tight on my face, so I stretched them out a bit by putting them over my computer tower for a night. The next day I put them on and voila! Perfect fit. My only complaint is that I can't set up my mic so I can hear my voice back in my headphones when I talk.

I did a lot of extensive research as I was going to Pony up 100 buckaroos for a gaming headset or perhaps a little more. I settled on these mostly because they wound up in a lot of top 10 lists. I was going to get Logitech because I really love the brand but I was sold on this one because of the reviews. It's important I think to let you know what my expectations were and my intentions. I do not do a lot of online gaming but thought I might soon. One of the big factors for this headset was the ability to hear sounds that are important in online gaming to help you locate enemies. More of an awareness of where they might be around you, to be more specific. I was wanting something to really immerse myself in the sound as I enjoy a lot of campaign games. I don't use the microphone since I do not play online games but I do like that it can detach if necessary. If I can ever be on when my brothers are on then that would change I'm sure. So, I wanted to be immersed in campaigns with one of those being the Resident Evil games. The remake of two and three. I am also currently playing Spider-Man all the way through on the PS4 Pro and enjoy the headset with the crisp sounds, the busy streets. A lot of small details really come through in these things :-) the drawback from me is that there's not a lot of bass, or rather bass to the level I personally like it. Doesn't feel as immersive this way. There's no dial for volume and there's no dial for bass. The less than $30 Fukushima headset I had, if I pronounced that right, I liked a lot more because it had volume and bass adjustments sacrificing a bit of the crisper sounds but not by much. Sometimes I long for those. Perhaps it is because I specifically was getting a gaming headset and did not truly realize what the focus is on with these headphones. But the bass is not bad, I can still get an enjoyable experience but when I'm in the mood for Epic Bass and those horror games I'm just not getting it. Something that was really amazing is the options for ear covers. I used the default that is on them because I don't sit with headphones for a long time. On my day off I might have them on 3 hours or more once in a while and I am very happy to report that they are comfortable and I have yet to sweat in them. It doesn't really hurt my ears either. Other headphones, actually most of them, feel like they suction my ear hole which puts pressure on them and I can't wear them for very long. It ruins my hearing for a couple days sometimes. These headphones are lightweight and does not cause that for me, a first-ever! In summary, my intentions were to spend a hundred bucks or a little more on a better quality gaming headset that would allow me to be immersed in campaign games, especially the horror genre. I want crisp sounds so that I could tell what was around me a little better, and some nice heavy Bass. I was not looking for the best for online gaming to hear enemies around me although I would like that opportunity If Ever I did game online. Since this headset appeared on many top 10 lists, my expectations were high. I was pleased that the mic piece detaches although I have yet to use it, the sounds were crisp , headset is light, two sets of ear covers came with it , I did not sweat in them nor have Painful ears after 3 hours of gaming in them, and the bass is decent. It sounded good on both the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. I only play games on consoles so don't know how they work on a computer but I'm pretty sure they're even more badass that way since they are surround sound headphones. The bass sounds good but I wanted more especially volume knobs for sound and one for bass which it didn't have. Even though I could not get that deep rumbling Bass this headset is good enough to keep for what I spent on it. If the bass was better it would be a total of five stars from me.

Great mid tier headset. I have had this headset for 2 years now and that had no issues with it what so ever. The ear pieces are comfortable enough to not hurt the ears for long gaming sessions. Sound quality is surprisingly really balanced. In competitive games (overwatch, hunt showdown, naraka blade point, call of duty) I have perfect directional audio that has given me a major advantage in those games. When I'm grouped with friends or in a voice channel I can hear others in the channel perfectly fine. The microphone I can talk normally and people can hear me clearly. I was worried about the detachable mic. Last headset I had, had one and it caused problems every so often with the mic disconnecting. This one doesn't. I'm super impressed with this brand and when time comes I'll probably get next model up from this one I highly recommend this.

If you're someone like me who likes to research a lot before making a purchase, I hope this review will help. After about a month of researching best gaming headsets for cheap, I was originally going to get the stinger. But, this came on sale for about 69.99 and I read a lot of good reviews about it. First off, this headset is extremely comfortable. I have a big head (wear size 7 7/8 hats) and I wear glasses. None of this was a problem for the cloud 2's. Second, the sound is great! I play games like CS:GO and Overwatch and the virtual 7.1 surround sound is amazing. Last, the microphone is good. Don't take that as a negative, my friends on discord say I sound absolutely more clear than what I had previously, but they I also had to adjust it because they said I sounded soft. This is my first headset I've ever bought and I would make the purchase again.

I upgraded from the Razer Kraken X to these and I have to say that these are twice the quality. The sound is fairly rich, though I’ve definitely heard better. The EQ is pretty balanced, though, with no frequency dominating. They are a GREAT For for small heads, BUT they are a little tight. They come with 2nd ear cups that are soft and not noise canceling. I like that for gaming so I can hear myself talk and not feel like I’m screaming. I’m told the mic is crisp and super clear and the surround sound with the usb sound card works perfectly! (Much better than Razer’s 7.1 or THx). I can detect where Even the most subtle sounds are coming from In game. Plugged in as headphones in the 3.5mm jack, they also sound pretty darn good. Good: not bulky, great Fit even for smaller heads, sound and mic clarity, external USB sound card means no software to install, separate controls for mic and audio volume, replaceable mic and ear cups. Bad: a little tight fitting, could have a little more bass (but the bass is definitely sufficient), A little bit heavy, but not too bad. Overall, these smoke a lot of the other products in the class. I will be buying this brand again, if these ever fail on me.

Extremely comfortable, great quality. Light as well, great for someone with glasses. Sound and mic are fantastic as well. Does not contain in-line volume/mute buttons unless you're hooked into a USB port. Good for computers, but for Console I would recommend the Cloud Alpha for in-line volume/mute buttons with no need USB port

I did a lot of research before buying this headset. The packaging was so nice I had a hard time throwing it away. Very impressive! The headset is very comfortable. I use it everyday. It seems to be well built and sturdy. The mic quality is very good according to my friends who listened to me through a chat program. The surround sound feature sounds really good. I have no complaints.

I've tried various other headsets throughout the years because the microphone on this headset is good, but not the best. Every time I switch, I come back to this headset because of the comfort it offers me for long gaming sessions. I don't get any ear pain at all even after 8+ hour days of gaming and working with this headset. If you want comfort, don't hesitate to purchase the HyperX Cloud 2. If you suffer from ear pain from other gaming headsets, give these a try, your ears will thank you! My wife has a pair of HyperX Cloud 1's that are also very comfortable. Also please note that my first pair of Cloud 2's broke after about 3 years. I am not the kindest to my gear and it could have lasted longer. This next pair I've had for about 15 months with no sign of damage.

Let me just start off by saying that this headset is outstanding in terms of quality. HyperX Really hit it out of the park on this headset. From the different research articles I've looked into, this headset apparently has some top notch audio drivers compared to most "Gaming" headsets. I enjoy HyperX products but don't personally pursue them when looking into purchasing gaming gear, but this headset should be something anybody serious about audio should look into. The audio quality is top notch, (possibly better even compared to the $200+ Corsair Virtuosos I had previously), The feel and comfort is top notch and top tier, the microphone is detatchable (I haven't used it but I hear it sounds good), and the different accessories you get are always enjoyable (switchable ear cup material, detatchable mic, LONG cord, headphone jack to USB sound card converter, physical volume adjuster, carry bag, and more!) Great value! Pick it up if you have the budget.

I needed a headset I could use with my PC, cell phone and Xbox One. I searched and read reviews on a variety brands. Once I narrowed down the choices, I went to several local stores for a hands on listening experience. By far the HyperX Cloud II headset fit my needs without breaking the bank. The removable mic is great for when I just want to listen to music, movies etc. It has a digitally enhanced, noise-cancelling microphone with automatic gain control functionality and echo cancellation. No one can tell I'm using a headset when I'm on my phone. Sound is excellent! HyperX Cloud II is Hi-Fi capable, with 53mm drivers for superior audio performance and rich sound quality with crystal-clear low, mid and high tones and enhanced bass via the sound card. This sound is further enhanced by the hardware-driven virtual 7.1 surround sound. Finally (but not to be minimized) the headset is very comfortable to wear for hours on end!

Comfortable, nice that you can swap between two ear cushions, great sound, nice volume control, 7.1 surround is great, great for fps games, nice microphone. Random strangers in games comment how nice my mic sounds. The only negative is the 3.5mm jack cord is too short! The headset fits controllers with a 3.5 audio connection and i guess it's made short for those controllers. But use it for anything else and it's way too short. Guitar amp or computer connection it sucks being that short! The rest of the cord is usb and plenty long enough. Nice that you have both connections, but the 3.5 is not versatile beyond a controller. I prefer wired so no messing with recharging and battery failure. Some reinforcement at the end of the usb cord would be nice. Mine attaches straight up from the top of my pc. Worried that bend won't last as long as it could. So far zero issues.
