Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the Cloud II Wired Gaming Headset. Many appreciate its compatibility with multiple gaming platforms and the detachable microphone. However, some users mention the headset's relatively short cable and lack of inline volume controls as drawbacks. A few also noted that the fit might be snug for some users, and that the bass could be improved.

headset is one that is lightweight, comfortable, and provides an excellent balance of sound frequencies: not too much treble, not too much bass, etc. This is actually my 2nd headset; my first headset was a Sades A60, which I purchased because they were cheap but claimed to have 7.1 surround sound. Well they didn't; furthermore, they were WAY too big for my head, they weren't lightweight, they weren't flexible, they made my ears feel warm after 30 minutes, and the inside padding wasn't comfortable at all.

I play on Xbox and PS4 and I've owned the PS Platinum headset but honestly this is still the best headset I've ever bought. Super comfortable with interchanging headphone pieces, works on every system, and outstanding sound quality. The only drawback is it's wired. But all in all I still think its worth the 5-star.

These headphones are actually pretty awesome. The sound quality is excellent, the construction is solid, and they are inexpensive. What else would you want from a pair of gaming headphones?! Oh, and if you are like me and have issues with your ears getting too hot. These come with two types of ear covers - one being very cool to the touch.

Solid headphones. I got them on sale for half off for my PS5 and they are comfortable and sound really good. they appear to be good quality, I haven't had them for long. The only thing is that the volume control does not seem to work on the PS5.

The headset it’s self is light, and extremely comfortable for long hours. But, the process to swap the ear muffs from leather to cloth was a pain, took a bit of time but the design was odd. It’s a great upgrade from the old headset I had which was the Razer kraken pro. They headsets surround sound button is great and you can hear everything. I was happy with my purchase overall, just had minor inconveniences.

I started looking at headsets around the end of Nov to Dec 2016. Initially I was just going to get a set of L******h's but after reading reviews of them I started looking at other brands. After reading many, many reviews of the Kingston HyperX Cloud II's I ended buying them around Jan 2017. They are a little bass heavy and that is fine with me as I listen to a lot of EDM/Trap/Dubstep. As far gaming goes these are amazing, the audio is very clear and the microphone picks up very well and has it's volume control. I have used these with my phone and the audio comes through clear like it does on the pc. I like that almost everything on these headphones are modular, the ear pads are replaceable, the headphone unplug from the USB controller into a 3.5mm 4 conductor plug that is smartphone compatible. Also the USB controller is replaceable if you break it. The microphone also is removeable if you want these to become just plain old headphones. I would highly recommend anyone looking for headphones to give these a try.

Tried many different headsets over the years mostly in the 60-100 dollar range. This is the best of the bunch with deep lows and rich highs. Quality of construction is impressive as well and I can wear them all day comfortably. Really like the mic which can easily be removed if you want. (Clicks in/out)

Love these hyperx, the usb plug for 7.1 surround sound really delivers on the pc. Sound great on my xbox one x as well. They are well built and very comfortable to wear, once you switch the ear pads, which can be a little tricky. Includes a microphone that can be adjusted into almost any position.

This headset is the most expensive headset I've gotten. I use it for my call center job and for my PS4, it works great for both. I love how clear the mic sounds and the noise cancelling is great too. I was honestly blown away by the clarify of my voice when testing on PS4. You could probably do ASMR with this. I have to wear it for 8 hours a day and it doesn't make my ears/head hot, it's easy to wear for extended periods of time. The tentacle adjustable mic arm is great when you want to eat a snack and don't want the mic in the way. I would recommend these to anyone.

    Changed the Way I Game

I chose this headset based on quality and value (based on a quick google search comparing the best headsets for the price). I've used PC speakers for gaming for the last decade and never understood the point of headphones (I like boomy, bassy explosions). Well it turns out that headsets are the way to go. This pair has a built in virtual 7.1 surround system which makes games sound a little more cinematic. However, if you're playing FPSes (PubG or COD MW), you'll want to turn it off for better positional audio. Build quality is good (metal brackets that hold the ear cups, with a sturdy, non-fatiguing headband). Mic is detachable and easy to set position. The included cable is very long for use with a laptop, however, I'm assuming it's for desktop PC use with your rig on the floor so it's not a big deal. The package comes with a mesh carry bag and extra set of plush earcups (non-leather). I love these things and they most certainly give me an auditory advantage in games. Don't hesitate to buy!

Been using this headset for about 2 years now. It’s been great, they literally felt like sound cancelling headphones and they’re so comfy. I’ve had no microphone issues and my audio has been pretty good. When I record videos, it doesn’t sound like a ****** headset, it actually sounds pretty nice

If you want a good-sounding gaming headset for less than $100, the HyperX Cloud II ($99) is one of the most comfortable, stylish options you can buy. The headset's virtual 7.1 surround-sound capabilities do an admirable job of highlighting your games' more subtle sounds, and its lightweight design makes it a cozy companion for marathon play sessions.

I landed on these after trying a multitude of other sets such as TB700s, LS35s and even Astro A40s. The sound in these is so much more accurate and clear than any closed back cans I've used. Wide soundstage. Very comfortable for long periods. Mic boom gets the job done. The only downside is no mic monitoring. Comes with carrying bag (meh) and velour earpads to change to if you don't like the pleather(?) Ones they come with.

This is my second pair of these, first one only stopped working because I accidentally ripped the cord out of them when moving stuff around. Oops. The sound quality is great and on the cord is a little device that lets you change the volume of the headset and the mic. Among some other things. Though you can unplug that device if you want to plug them directly into whatever you are using them on to control volume and settings from there. They are VERY comfortable and even fit my relatively bigger head. You can't really hear outside sounds which is nice. And the earpads come with a spare and a diffrent version of them also. The mic is detachable also. I don't use my mic so this is a great feature. Though the sound quality during my test was wonderful. Cord is nice and long. I don't really have any real complaints. If was forced to think of one it would be sometimes you forget they are on your head because they are so comfortable.

I was searching for a USB headset for work because they required I use a USB specifically because of security reasons or something like that. I thought it was pretty stupid since USBs are dying out. The headset they had given me for work was utter garbage and broke second day in training. I had to find a last minute solution and ran to my nearest Best Buy. Although this is a relatively pricy headset, it was the only one available for under $200. Although the reason I got them was a very irritating situation, I absolutely love these headphones and use them frequently. The mic is relatively clear (obviously not studio quality) and the sound is pretty great. It seems like the company integrated the most bang for your buck for an under $200 headset. The cord is extremely long, which is fantastic when I'm at work pacing around. It lets me walk at least double the distance from my computer than my normal earbuds do. A former roommate of mine has the exact same headset and it has lasted her for at least 2 years. If you're looking for a specifically USB headset, this one is great for the price.

These headphones are the real deal. Bang for your buck on a wired pair these can't be beaten. The virtual 7.1 surround sound is phenomenal. I use these for my PSVR setup and they are super comfortable even with the VR headset on for extended gaming sessions. Having the mic capable of being on or off is a nice feature as well.

I got these headphones as a Christmas gift for my fiancé. She had previously been using my $20 pair of Turtle Beach headphones and I wanted to get her an upgrade. These are superior in almost every way. Decent bass response. Excellent clarity in the mid and high range. And they’re much more comfortable. The cushioning is enough for these to be noise canceling. The only drawback is that the mic is a little like a walkie-talkie—not in a distracting way though. I hardly think about it when we play games together. She mainly uses them for console gaming and talking over Discord on her Chromebook. These are a fantastic upgrade from a cheaper pair with noticeably better quality in almost every area. I’d definitely recommend trying to get them on sale, but they’re absolutely perfect for what we need.
