Sound quality is good .. but the headphones are to big & cant adjust

This headset is awesome. Its compatibility to connect this headset to a pc, ps5 or phone is not complicated. The sound and the way the headset conforms to your head is very comfortable. Would recommend purchasing this headset.

The HyperX Cloud Jet is the first headset I've used from HyperX. Given the entry-level MSRP, I went in with pretty low expectations for this headset. What I found after a week of using the Cloud Jet is that it is not just a great value but a new benchmark for me in comfort for a wireless gaming headset. While it's somewhat limited in terms of features compared to pricier options, it does exactly what most people want from a gaming headset very well. #Unboxing and first impressions# Unboxing the Cloud Jet was pretty unremarkable as far as gaming headsets go. The headset comes in a standard cardboard box with thankfully mostly recyclable cardboard packing materials. The dongle and USB cable are included, and the headset came in a fairly standard synthetic cloth black bag for protection. While nothing about the materials of the headset itself screams "premium quality" it doesn't necessarily feel cheap, either. About the only complaint I have with the feel of the headset is the tension of the rotation of the boom mic when you rotate it up and down for the "flip to mute" feature. There's just not a lot of tension at the predefined stopping points where Mute is engaged. However, if you fully flip the mic up or all the way to the bottom it stays put. Fortunately there's plenty of tension/memory to the articulation of the bendable mic itself, so it stays put when you bend it to where you want it to go, even after flipping up and down many times. #Using the Cloud Jet# The Cloud Jet is extremely easy to use, and sounds great. As a budget headset this doesn't have any software to control it within Windows, so it's very much a plug and play product. Easy to just hand this headset and dongle to someone who isn't tech savvy and they will be up and running in Windows in minutes. Just plug the dongle in, power on the headset, and you're ready to go. In addition to Discord, I've also used it in Webex and Zoom for work and it's worked extremely well, though unlike some other headsets I have used it does not mute the actual software when you flip the mic up. Your mic will be muted, of course, but it doesn't show you as muted in the meeting itself. That can be both a blessing and a curse, so something to be aware of. What I really like about the Cloud Jet is how comfortable and convenient it is to use. I've done a few long gaming sessions and meetings with the headset so far and it is by far the most comfortable gaming headset that I've used. It's super lightweight, and the earpads are very soft and pliable so they don't press against my glasses. Sound quality on the Cloud Jet is good enough but unremarkable. As a budget headset without any extra software, out of the box you're not getting Dolby Atmos or other surround tech unless you have it included with a game or have previously purchased unlocks for those features in Windows. I really like that HyperX has tuned the EQ so the headset doesn't distort bass and instead rolls off before it gets too low. The resulting sound isn't boomy and bass heavy so this may not be the headset for you if you only want crazy bass. Another thing I like with the Cloud Jet is that it uses a simple switch to go between dongle mode and Bluetooth. Some other headsets I've used have you holding a multifunction button down for a few seconds to switch between modes - having a switch is so much easier and leads to fewer mistakes if you use the headset to switch between devices often. I really appreciate that simplicity when I'm switching between my phone, gaming desktop, gaming laptop, and my work PC. #Final thoughts# I've reviewed a lot of gaming headsets as a TIN member. I've got twin boys so I'm usually happy to pass new headsets on to them if they are better than what they currently are using. Given the low price on the HyperX Cloud Jet I had assumed I'd be passing this on to them - instead I've found it's so comfortable and simple to use that I am keeping it for myself. This is a great value and sounds perfect for an entry level headset.

Gaming hardware these days is often defined by the gimmicks it includes, most of which have little to no actual bearing on the gameplay experience for average users. The Cloud Jet opts to go a slightly different way. It is a lightweight, adaptable gaming headset that takes a somewhat minimalist approach to its design, focusing exclusively on the essentials. And while this may not be to everyone's taste, I suspect there are many who will appreciate having the option of something that just works as a decent headset. You'll find a fairly standard set of options with the Cloud Jet. Connectivity is provided via Bluetooth or an included 2.4gHz dongle, both of which provide very good audio (though I think the dedicated receiver overall was a little bit better on the PC I used to test it with.) You've also got an adjustable boom mic with two detents to put it slightly above or directly in line with your mouth, a universal fit design, on-headset controls for volume, and USB-C charging. It all works, it's all very intutive, and none of it required any significant fiddling on my part, so it's very much a plug and play device. Audio quality is overall good, though it is perhaps a little light on the bass for my taste, and provided the mic is positioned properly recordings and voice chat comes through well to anyone on the other side. Noise isolation while you're wearing it is overall decent - it doesn't seal tightly enough against your head to stop you from hearing someone talking in the next room over, but it's enough to significantly cut down on fan noise. And battery life overall is quite good, and frankly better than some of the more "premium" headsets I've tried which end up spending wattage on elaborate RGB or rumble effects. While it may not stand out among the crowd there really aren't any of what I'd consider overt dealbreakers here - making it a good contender for when you just need a headset and don't want to have to think too much about which one to get. It does, in my opinion, have a few downsides which I think are worth bringing up in case they end up being dealbreakers for someone else. To start: I do not like the way it sits on your head very much. The elastic band that acts in place of a mechanical adjustment mechanism feels like it needed to be just a little bit tighter, as the headset always seemed to be settling on my ears a few millimeters too low for it to be entirely comfortable. Now, to be fair, I have the kind of head shape that makes it hard to find comfortable headsets in general so this is not an unusual issue for me. But if you like me find it hard to find a Goldilocks headset design and was hoping that this adjustment free design might be the fix, you may need to keep looking. The second thing I noticed is that it seems like the drivers don't produce a ton of volume compared to most headsets I've tried. I actually debated on if this was a positive feature or not, since if I were giving this to a kid I'd probably rather they have something that can't be cranked up to the point that it could result in permanent hearing damage, but as an adult who occasionally does need to boost the volume to clearly hear dialog in a movie this can definitely be a little annoying. Overall, this is not the kind of headset you buy because you want to show off or fall in love with the tech. This is the kind of headset you buy because you need a decent headset. Which I'd like to hope describes most of the people buying these things. This is what you buy to give to your teenager who hasn't quite learned how to take care of more expensive gear yet, to live in your backpack and take to LANs, or at 8PM because your ten year old beater just died and you don't want to do a week of comparison shopping to figure out which proprietary RGB utility offers the best compatibility with your smart home infrastructure. Go into it with that kind of mindset, and I think you'll be quite pleased with what the Cloud Jet has to offer.

Included- Cloud Jet Dual Wireless headset, USB Type-A wireless dongle,  USB charging cable This headset is pretty straightforward. After giving it a full charge, it was really easy to connect to my PC. It offers dual connectivity using either bluetooth or 2.4GHz for compatibility with a PC, console, and even a mobile device. The sound is good. I can hear very clearly playing games and talking with my friends. It is not noise canceling but it blocks out quite a bit of background noise with the big soft cups. The headset is very comfortable even after wearing them for hours. It's lightweight and the ear cups are breathable mesh. The band is adjustable to find the best fit. I really like the Swivel-to-Mute boom mic so I don't' have to worry about finding buttons do that function. It makes it easy to use while I'm playing. I also like that it's wireless. I do not want to be tethered with a cord while I'm playing and have that get in the way. It's a decent headset if you want something basic and not expensive. It does not have all the bells and whistles, but it also does not have a huge price tag to match.

Can't seem to get it to work. The light goes green but can't hear anything or use the mic. Super disappointed

These are definitely not the highest end gaming headphones on the market but they are very good for what they are. Built quality is decent enough. Wear & rear from putting headphones on seems to cause the most issues for me in the past so hopefully these last longer. Very comfortable. No issues there at all. Connecting them to my PC with Bluetooth took a bit of work. After a number of tries they worked with Bluetooth although I don’t know why they wouldn’t connect at first. Don’t know if it was a headphone issue or a PC issue. Microphone works well and has the standard flip to mute function. Sound quality is good. Isolating sounds isn’t a problem. Battery life has been excellent. They are rated for 25 hours and I’m sure that’s pretty accurate. The controls took me a few minutes to get used to but there is nothing unusual or hard to learn. They are designed for seamless switching between devices (PC, gaming consoles or mobile devices). That’s not something I do very often but for the sake of testing them out this seems to work well. They are not advertised as noise canceling but outside noises are fairly well controlled. Overall not a bad set of gaming headphones as long as you are not expecting the very highest end of performance.

Absolutely terrible. Zero comfort, low audio quality and bad mic quality. Returned and purchased Logitech G935. Just buy the Logitech. Absolutely incredible

For me, there are a couple main reasons why I am giving these a 4 star instead of 5. The first being the bigger of the 2 and that is the lack of having their own software that allows you to customize the sound. I feel this is something all big brands should have now. They know their own headsets as they created them and should have software that is tuned for them with some preset custom sound settings. Like for games. They can have a couple generic settings if you want to hear footsteps, or shots etc. Can even set sounds for specific games. This is something other big brands have that these are missing. My other smaller reason and not as much a factor like having no software, but they do not connect to the BT and 2.4 mode at the same time where you can listen to both. They do connect to both at same time so you can quickly select between the 2 modes. But I have a couple other headsets now that I can do both at the same time. It is nice to watch a YouTube video in between rounds and still hear the game. Or take a phone call while still hearing the game, etc. With these you have to pick one or the other. That said, despite no software from them, they sound pretty good. Using other software and you can tune them even better. They are pretty comfortable to wear all day as well. The mic is not the best, but it works decently and gets the job done. I love headsets that offer the push up to mute. These have that and for me that is my preference. For a headset under 100$, these are great. I recommend these if you are looking at a good headset under 100$ and do not care that they do not have software.

I have been using the HyperX Cloud Jet Dual Wireless gaming headset for about a week. After a lot of thought, I'm giving it 3.5/5. There's a lot to really like - it's lightweight, it has 2.5Ghz and Bluetooth Pairing, I was able to use on my PC and switch effortlessing to my Switch 2. In the box you get the: HyperX Dual Wireless Headset USB A to USB C Cable (it charges via USB C) dongle I thought you also got a storage bag, but it's more like a felt bag for shipping and doesn't have a draw string. So I don't think it's storage. The HyperX is incredibly light and actually very comfortable. The elastic strap that sits on your head helps a lot. That said, the Hyper X doesn't feel premium given it's very light weight and all plastic. The boom mic does swivel to mute, but it's left hand side only and doesn't rotate 180 (so if you prefer a right side mic, this is not the headset for you). The power button is also oddly positioned, making it just a little inconvient to use - not a deal breaker, just it's like the headset was designed back to front, as if the microphone was on the right, it would be perfect but with your mic on, the power button is just inconvenient to rich. That all said, switch device is easy with a satisifying and easy to use on/off style sliding switch. The real question though is how is the audio? The HyperX has good audio but not great. First, noise isolation is pretty good but the voice sounds a little flat to me, with a slight hiss and high trebles. Game music (PC and Switch 2) was good, but for voice chat it just didn't land right for me. I had a look and HyperX have an app (NGENUITY) but it's not compatible with this model, at least my PC never detected it no matter what I tried - so you can't tune the audio. Overal, though - I think the HyperX is a 3.5/5. Mostly because you get PC/Mac/PS5/Switch/Mobile support (dongle or bluetooth - pick what works for you). The battery life is great, I got a days use out of it 11-12 hours of gaming and it claims it's rated for 25 which I believe, plus a 2 year warranty is very generous. If the audio was better, I'd give it a solid 4.

It seems like we (OK, my sons) seem to go through gaming headset fairly quickly, for some reason or another. When needing the next one and having been using wireless ones lately (to prevent the issues we have had with corded ones over the years) we decided to take a look at the HyperX - Cloud Jet Dual Wireless Gaming Headset. The design is fairly basic, with a slight swivel and side tilting for the earcups (to help get a better, comfortable fit), tilt to mute mic boom and an elastic support band to go over the top of the head. The earcups themselves do not move up and down, so the only way to do any adjustment in that manner is the moving of one or both sides of the elastic band. For me, the default location was too tight on the top of my head when the earcups were in the place I wanted them. I tried moving both sides to where only one slot was connecting, but that was too loose. Once I set one side with the single slot, and the other with the default double slot, it felt much better. The earcups use breathable fabric (luckily not the leatherette, which I've grown less fond of over the years since they eventually start deteriorating) covering on nice spongy foam. The foam was soft enough to be comfortable to wear for longer periods of time without being too soft. Also, the size of the earcups were really good, larger than some so none of it was touching any part of my ears. The power button (hold for about 4-5 seconds for it to turn on), USB-C charging port, volume dial, and Bluetooth/2.4GHZ Wireless mode selection switch are on the left earcup, along with the mic. While we are only intending to connect to PC's with this, it can also connect to PS5, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, and Mobile devices. I didn't quite get test out the full battery, but it should be able to get up to 20 (2.4GHz) to 25 hours of use on a charge. The sound was pretty good, with decent bass (which is what I look for the most) when listening to music, and clear sound when playing games. For the mic, I initially had some issues getting it to work while connected via Bluetooth (which was my preferred connection method) but worked fine with connecting to the wireless dongle. For the quality, it wasn't anything spectacular according to one of my sons, but is good enough for chat/conversation during the game (wasn't planning on doing any professional broadcasts anyways). If you are looking for a nice wireless headset that doesn't really cost way too much, this could be the one for you!

I was given the HyperX - Cloud Jet Dual Wireless Gaming Headset in return for an honest review. The unboxing was uneventful. There were no surprises. In the box is a charging cable (USB-A to USB-C), a USB WiFi dongle, and a nice bag containing the headset and a small booklet of instructions in many different languages. It's called a "Dual" headset because it allows connections using the USB WiFi dongle as well as Bluetooth 5.3. I set it up on a Windows 11 PC using WiFi and the dongle. Setup was easy and there were no surprises. The ear pieces with their 40mm drivers are large and well padded. The controls on the headset (volume, on/off, bluetooth/wifi) are simple and quite tactile. After charging it for a few hours (full charge is estimated to take 4.5 hours if fully discharged), it was time to try it out. Note: the battery life is said to be 20 hours. I wasn't able to measure that. The sound is reasonable for a single driver/side. The frequency response is said to be 20hz - 20 khz, but the total harmonic distortion is 2% which is quite high. I found the sound reasonable pleasing to my old ears, but those with better hearing would be better judges of that. The mike is muted until it is pulled all the way down into position. The mike sound seems quite natural. My big issue with the headset is the lack of adjustability. The comfort band can be adjusted slightly, but I wasn't able to find a position that was comfortable to my ears. That and the lack of XBox support (though it does support most other devices) was a problem for me. I suppose it's fine as an inexpensive entry level gaming headset, but for long term use, I'd want something a bit more comfortable with better specs.
