What a wonderful movie, good for the whole family!

Sean Penn is awesome in this role. He plays an adult who has the mental capacity of a seven year old. He has a baby with a woman who leaves right after the daughter is born. Dakota Fanning plays his daughter. I do not know how old she was but she turns in a fantastic performance. Sean Penn is a great actor and gives an academy award perforamnce. All the actors in this movie are great. Dakota Fanning (Lucy) is taken away from Sean Penn by child proctective services and he must get an attorney to try and get her back. You do everything from to laugh to sheding tears, it is a great story. It ends and you find yourself wanting to know what happens next.

this is one of the best movie that sean penn has been in. its sad, funny and very heartwarming. i absoulutely love this movie and i would recommend it to a friend any day

this is a great movie for family. I bought this movie for my 11 year old. In addition to great plot, it's educational when it comes to the topic of autism.
