A family destroyed due to domestic violence and how the Lord works in mysterious way to get son and father back and a song is the tool that healing.

A couple of family members told me about this movie and how good it was. It’s based on a true story and when I saw it in Best Buy I had to buy it. I’m very happy I did because it tells you the true story of the Christian Gospel group MercyMe and what influenced them to write one of the most successful Gospel songs of all time. It all stemmed from the lead singer’s fiery relationship with his father. You won’t want to miss this one. I know that this is one movie that I will watch over and over again.

Good movie. Great music. Enjoyed the movie both me and my son. We would recommend this movie to friends neighbors and relatives.

I loved this movie. It was touching and the story line is well told, I also enjoyed the song one of my all time favorites.

What made this film powerful is that it showed how a horrible childhood can be redeemed to become a platform for Ministry through Music. But at the heart of it all is Forgiveness. This film resonated with me because my childhood was very similar, and at the end of his life - my stepfather made all of his family relationships right - by asking for forgiveness. It's hard to give and sometimes hard to authentically receive it - but it changes everything ! Just ask Bart M.

Very well put together movie. Being brought up in a simaler situation brought back old memories but was very uplifting. Proving that no matter what you go through God will bring you through as long as you truly believe. You dont have to follow habits that you went through in your younger years or even if you are going through things in the present. God can inspire your gifts and talents as long as its pleasing in his eyes. God bless and enjoy the movie.

A family movie based on true events. Faith based movie without beating you over the head

Great family movie for the whole family to enjoy. Makes for an excellent movie night

So glad I purchased this movie. I missed seeing when in the theatres, but many spoke highly of it. The film communicates the anguish of the main character's childhood without being explicit, and I found myself emotionally involved with the characters. It's nice to have a movie that has actual character development, character interaction, and acting worth watching. I enjoyed the additional features and recommend watching them.

I think this is a good movie, but not as good as it could have been. The acting was fine, but the story line was, I felt, a bit disjointed. There was a radical change in the father towards the end of the film that needed more attention. But I do believe it was the best Christian film I've ever seen, and I'm glad to see improvements in this area. It's definitely family oriented, minus swearing and violence. And, of course, it was very interesting to get the background of both the group, "Mercy Me", and the song, "I Can Only Imagine". We played it at my Mother's funeral, and now every time I hear it...yeah. It's definitely worth the investment, both in time and money.

If you are into movies about God and acceptance, this is for you. For this to be a real life story is even more amazing! I am not a religious person and I love this movie... It even made me cry (which is hard to do). Another movie of this type is "I Still Believe" with Gary Sinise and Shania Twain.

This is a great film by any standard, not just the Christian genre. I saw the film in the theater and bought it the day it was available in stores Blu-Ray/DVD format. The fact that it is a true story makes it all the better. The acting of all characters is very solid including Dennis Quaid's and J. Michael Finley’s. The cinematography is outstanding and rivals the mega-budget films.

Great movies but prices we wish were lower. Recommend to friends.
