This film was vengeance served up with violence so the perpetrator could really feel the wrath that was bottled up inside the victim's husband. The beginning and the ending meshed together very well making great film.

Have had this movie before, someone decided they liked it more than me, so it disappeared. Was glad to find it, and at a great price.

This is an insanely good and brutal revenge film. Had to get the blu-ray after watching it a couple weeks ago

Fantastic! If you loved "Oldboy", you are going to be all over this. Violent, Gory tale of vengeance with an ironic message to tell.

As a big fan of horror movies / gore cinema, I can claim that I Saw The Devil is one of the most violent films I have ever seen, and the unrated Cut is even bloodier. This is a must see for any fans of Korean cinema and horror in general, but maybe you should think about staying away if you’re squeamish / you don’t handle gore very well.

The story is very realistic and breathtaking . The characters were well played and convincing up to the very end. Nice movie!

Loved this movie. Definitely more than I expected.

Raid: Redemption" was everything I thought it would be and more. This is balls-to-the-wall, non-stop, action. The movie takes all of five minutes to set up, and then BOOM you're in for quite a ride. Cops are drawn into a drug house to take it over and close it down. Trouble is, they're WAAAY outnumbered! Some of the fight scenes in this movie will leave you with your jaw dropped and unable to speak. There's also a nice little plot twist that I'm not going to talk about, but I didn't see it coming. If your needs to make a great action movie are simple, i.e. action, action, and more action, then this is your movie. Me & my friends was watching this, we didn't even reach for a drink we all was froze in our chairs,just JAW DROPPING AMAZING KICK A** FLICK,WE JUST LOVED IT IN EVERY LEVEL! After we went to best buy Bought 20 copies on blu-ray. WELL we was 20 people ...AMAZING TOP NOTCH FLICK >> U MUST TO OWN THIS MASTERPIECE ON BLU-RAY!!!!!!! As far as revenge movies go, this one is the most brutal and intense one i've seen in a while.

I Saw the Devil is an exercise in insanity. When a man's wife is murdered by a serial killer, he sets out not to bring this murderer to justice but to exact his own form of revenge. What happens next is a brutal game of cat and mouse where the lines between good and bad are blurred and the viewer is treated to a roller coaster of emotions as the progression of events unfold. This is one wild ride that will leave you breathless, sweaty and spent, in a heap with a cigarette dangling from your hand!

When it comes to revenge flicks, South Korean filmmakers know what they are doing. I SAW THE DEVIL is a brutal descent into madness, and shows what happens when a sadistic serial killer meets his match in the form of an equally dangerous, equally violent, equally cerebral special agent who is hell-bent on revenge. Elements of drama, horror, action and noir are all seamlessly blended with an ample serving of violence in this modern revenge masterpiece. NOT for the faint of heart, but fans of the genre will love it.

While it may be your "typical" Korean revenge film, it's so real, so in your face, you can't help but to be sucked in. It's brutal, but to me, it's something most of us are capable of. Perhaps some was borderline psycho, but when faced with the death of loved ones, in such an unspeakable manner, emotion is a mother...Not many films can boast a protagonist you root for, yet simultaneously kind of hope perhaps maybe you shouldn't do that and almost have sympathy for the guy he's inflicting such pain on, despite justification.

A very strong and well crafted entry in to the foreign horror genre. Acting, cinematography, script, all top of the line. Coming from an American, this is better than what America is doing as far as the horror genre. Warning!! Not for the squeamish! Great Pic quality. Would loved to have had a great supplemental package which unfortunately is not present.
