Great Computer, Great Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent a few weeks looking for a good gaming computer. I tried looking at Alienware, CyberpowerPC, ASUS, and a number of other places. They either did not meet my specifications in terms of hardware or were simply too pricey. This computer was PERFECT for my needs. It was fairly up to par in terms of specs AND it sold for less than 1200 dollars. This is pretty much on par with the value you might get if you just decided to build a PC yourself (A tad bit pricier but without the effort needed to buy and put on together). Albeit it came with a few slight hitches that is to be explained. Nonetheless, these can be easily overlooked. It arrived only 2 days after I ordered (I live in California), and came out of the box looking great. First thing you have to do is remove the case's cover and then remove the protective foam they put inside the chassis - which is great because it ensured some of the more likely damaged components (namely the graphics card) arrived relatively undamaged. Upon removing said foam, I quickly noticed 2 problems: the hard drive and SSD were loose. They had both fallen of their mounts (whether it was intentionally packaged this way or had fallen off during transport is unknown). Thus, it required a little bit of manual reassembly on the buyer's part. I had to carefully reposition and replace both drives to their intended positions. Beyond that, I replaced the cover on the case, plugged it in, pressed the power button, and voila! It turned on. Beyond that slight hitch, the computer runs very well! It is very quiet compared to a number of other computers around the house. In terms of performance (I would assume any buyers are interested in gaming), this thing is fantastic! It ran all of my games that my previous PC (an Alienware X51) had to run on medium settings at a nice comfortable FPS on high, ultra, and max settings! Good enough for me. Pros: The SSD comes preinstalled with windows 8 whereas the 1 TB hard drive comes blank. As a result, expect Windows to boot up very fast (I say this coming from a person who has never previously used an SSD). The inside of the case is well organized and leaves plenty of space for you tinkerers to upgrade whatever you think is necessary. Runs very quietly and very well! Has a nice blue/green glow when gaming in the dark. I also received my PC with a free Far Cry 4 mouse pad (nice touch), keyboard, and mouse. Cons: Expect the drives to arrive loose. A little assembly may be needed.

Great computer once its running
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cons: Just starting with the cons cuz i was so annoyed The first system i received from IBUYPOWER the graphics card was no good as i got error code 43 and looked like i was in the matrix...took it to best buy and they replaced it (were very easy to work with) a week later i got the replacement unit and it started fine until I realized the computer was only recognizing the solid state drive. The internal hard drive was not plugged in...once it was plugged in it still didnt recognize it. luckily my brother walked me through how to get it working...but what a pain to go through for the price you are paying...I dont blame best buy but IBUYPOWER clearly doesnt test their units before shipping...I will continue with this computer now that its fixed but one more issue and its going back...Also the wifi adapter does not get a great signal when my router is one room over Pros: Once this computer is fixed and works the way it should its amazing. Boots in about 5 seconds great graphics card to play virtually any game on high settings. Decent enough memory to store the games (although 2TB may be needed in future) the keyboard and mouse work great. Plus the free upgrade to windows 10 is also a nice touch. This computer is also pretty quiet, i was expecting the fan to be much louder...cool design and lighting If i knew it was going to be this much trouble i probably wouldnt have purchased this computer...however...if you get a working one right away then i highly recommend this product as it will do anything you need it to do

A beautifully constructed computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Getting this computer was a decision that I have come to love. I was worried at first because I have had multiple problems when it comes to shipping, but right out of the box, I knew this computer was taken care of. Tightly held in place by styrofoam and extra padding at the top and bottom kept this computer well secure. Yes the setup took a bit of time but was not nearly as long as some other computers I have gotten. Not only was it a simple setup, but the computer passed all expectations. The manual was simple to follow and told you how to set it up with ease. Trim was already enabled because the SATA cable was connected to the SSD first so I didn't have to worry about that, and the hard drive just needed to be formatted. Other than formatting the hard drive, everything was pretty much set up for you at the start. As for games, you can run most games on the highest settings and almost all on high-medium settings depending on the game. If you are a big gamer and are looking for a computer that runs amazing for the price, I would definitely recommend this computer. I will definitely buy from iBuyPower again.

Great computer- as long as it works
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I first received this computer as a gift a couple months ago. The computer comes with a great keyboard and a pretty good gaming mouse. (Dont forget to get a good monitor to match the graphics cards speed) The computer DVD drive works great and the many usb ports are great for every plugin imaginable. The computers actual specs are up to the excellent par that is shown above. The network card is also extremely fast. When I first turned on the computer the installation was simple and it started very quick. However when I began to download the games I wished to play on this computer I noticed that ONLY my solid state drive seemed to be installed under "My Computer" (My hard drive was missing in action) I am not a computer person so I had no idea what was wrong with my hard drive. I attempted to call IBUYPOWER customer service however they were closed as it was the weekend. I ended up bringing it to the geek squad who seemingly fixed my problem. However that night the computer began restarting over and over again until it no longer worked. After a quick check by the Geek Squad (who told me all was lost, but had no idea what was actually wrong with the computer) I returned it for a replacement. The replacement came quite fast and after setting it back up I noticed the hard drive was still not showing. This time I called IBUYPOWER tech support. They were extremely friendly and knew exactly what they were doing as they walked me through how to partition the hard drive. Ever since that phone call the computer works great. The internet card is super fast, the computer is really quite, and I can play anything but the newest of games on the highest possible setting. In the end this computer is excellent, and performs great in every way. i have to take off a star because of the hassle at the beginning but if it was not for that I would give this computer 5 stars. I also that I am one of the few people who have actually had a bad experience with an IBUYPOWER product so I would recommend this machine to a friend..

Monster gaming computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shipping was great, got here waayyyyy before than expected so that was a pleasant surprise. This computer is an absolute monster; it will run anything you throw at it. However, it comes with a few caveats: #1 Your operating system might crash on your first or second start-up with a windows error. Call iBuyPowerPC, they are the manufacturer; best buy is just a retail store. (888)618-6040 SAVE THAT NUMBER!!! IT'S A LIFE SAVER!! So I called them up, and we re-installed the operating system in like 10 minutes; it was great. #2 Your 1 TB HardDrive won't be installed out of the box; it just runs off the 120 GB SSD; this is so easy to do. AGAIN... (888)618-6040 CALL THEM UP! They helped me install the 1 TB HardDrive, it was so easy didn't even need to restart or open the computer; it was software related on your operating system. #3 It comes with Windows 8.1 (and the Windows 8.1 Reinstall CD), so you will have to upgrade to Windows 10 yourself, which is very easy and free as well. Just go to Microsoft's official windows 10 website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-upgrade #4 The USB WiFi Adapter isn't very fast... I recommend that you take it out of the inside of the computer (open the left hand side case), and plug it in on top of the computer in one of the two USB ports; it's faster there for some reason (unless you use direct Ethernet cable to your modem and/or router, which I don't). The computer is great, I'm so satisfied; but I suppose that it should have come all prepared and hassles aside. Having said that, if you are in the market for a gaming computer, you should sort of know a little bit about computers, enough to understand that it's really not a big deal to install the harddrive and reinstall an operating system. And, having said that as well (lol), I STILL THINK that it should be working out of the box; that's what you paid more than a thousand dollars for: and that's why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. PS. The computer is great, though!

Best Pre Built Gaming PC For The Money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had this computer for more than 2 months now and i love it. I do photoshop/video editing so the i7 was appealing, the 16gb of ram is beautiful, i cant live without it anymore! I play a lot of casual games like LoL, CSGO, PoE, SWTOR, Blade & Soul all playing anywhere between 60-300 fps. I generally was looking more at something that was going to be able to push out 60fps on most games at 1080p, for around the same price i coulda gotten the next one with the 970 which woulda been in the long run better for gaming but i really wanted the SSD storage, 16gb ram, and since i dont really play new gen games this was a solid choice for me. I paired this up with a logitech 502 mouse and a 27in dell 1080p 60hz / 6ms monitor. (Def not a true gaming monitor but for the time ive been using it i havent had any issues with using it at all) The keyboard that comes with this is HORRIBLE. But its better than nothing, its looks pretty nice too, the mouse is ok as well, but id def recommend getting a better keyboard, very uncomfortable for me. You can easily find some affordable mechanical keyboards for under $80. As far as the OS, im use to 8.1 because its what i used on my old laptop, its the horrible honestly, gets some getting use to but i wouldnt really recommend the update to windows 10 because on my gaming laptop i had a good amount of issues with nvidia drivers, and some games. One last thing, i guess my model didnt come with the LED lights on the fan or the case? But its alright for me. Overall really awesome, and well rounded PC.

Adequate machine, Motherboard too small
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine has run nicely. It has a nice video board, but a disappointing motherboard. Also, the Wi-Fi transceiver is on a loose wire, tucked inside the machine. Wi-Fi pickup was inadequate until the transceiver was pulled out of the case. The motherboard is too tiny. With the dual-slot video board, not sure there is room for another expansion board. I want to insert a video recording board, but may not be able to do so.

Good looking and Fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was delivered faster than anticipated. It booted right up no problems. I did have one issue with getting the monitors up and running, so I called up the help desk and they said I just needed to plug into ports below the power supply. Once I did that it worked perfectly. The boot up time is awesome powers up in less than 10 seconds with the SSD. Super fast the colors are great. I am currently running four monitor setup and it looks and runs great. Very happy!

Very good computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't tried it extensively, but it seems very fast and was easy to setup. Only two downsides for me are that the audio does not seem to be very high end and that it didn't have a Blu-Ray drive. The graphics are excellent, the SSD is a very essential addition for making the computer run programs and games faster, as well as starting quicker, and the video ports are nice. Also runs very silently - the most quiet computer I have had so far.

Lovely
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for some more power on a budget, and this offered it and more! It runs beautifully on a fully modded Skyrim (40 mods) without so much as a hint of lag. It runs quietly thanks to the SSD. I will never being using anything but from here on out due to the silence alone. It boots up in a heartbeat to top things off.

Great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No problems since receiving this computer. Everything was ready out of the box. Literally just plugged in my monitor and was good to go. The computer is silent and runs cool even after 6 hours of gaming. I've only played Diablo 3 so far, but my settings are maxed out and I'm always above 120 fps even in groups. Also I load in and out of games faster than everyone else with it being installed on the SSD. I wish it had more SSD space though. Also a gtx 970 would prolly be worth the extra $120. Those can always be upgraded down the line and I don't need them at the moment so I'm a very happy customer! Also the power supply is an allied sl-8500btx 500W. Just thought that was worth mentioning since it wasn't mentioned in the product description.

NO GOOD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Read as much about this product as I could find before purchasing, and I thought it was going to be great - WRONG. It would not boot up, and after going through all the troubleshooting suggestions included with the system, I called iBUYPOWER "customer service". The guy who answered had all the customer service skills of a rotten turnip. I was obviously frustrated, and I think understandably so given the fact that I paid what I did and waited close to 2 weeks to get it only to have it not work at all when I fired it up. So I called and got "did you follow the troubleshooting guide (yes, no result), did you put the boot disk in (yes, no result), did you buy it direct from us (no), then go return it to the retailer" - click. Hung up in my face. I own a call center, and if one of my employees treated a customer like he did me, they would be fired. DO NOT BUY THIS, OR ANYTHING FROM iBUYPOWER, if you expect even a sliver of customer service should something go wrong.
