The first part in a series starring Donnie Yen as an accused Ming era general falsely framed a traitor but unable to clear his name because he and his accusers are caught in a huge avalanche that freezes them in ice until they are accidentally thawed out in modern day Hong Kong. Lots of Kung Fu action and Stephen Chow style silliness but still very entertaining as Donnie Yen adapts to 21st century life and attempts to find a way back to his past.

I am a huge fan of Donnie Yen and buy all of his movies when they become available on blu-ray. Donnie Yen seems to have a lot of hit or miss movies and this was more of a miss. This wasn't a bad movie, but it wasn't great another. As someone who loves his Ip Man movies and SPL Killzone, this is just not up to par with those. If you are a fan of Donnie Yen i would still recommend checking this movie out.

not one of donnie yen's best , but still better than special id. I'm a big martial arts fan and I like donnie alot, his fights are awesome to watch. This movie on the other hand needed a few more well placed fight scenes mixed in. The story was used so many times but his twist on it was decent enough. I hope part 2 has more action. Still at 14.99 you cant beat that price for a new release.

Donnie Yen hasn't been putting out many good movies of late, this is just another so so movie of recent which is becoming the norm for him now a days! If you have Netflix check it out on there before you decide to buy this!

Donnie Yen is a great martial artist and I'm almost always impressed with his movies, this is pretty comical mixed with his world class martial art abilities. Check it out!

The movie was funny with action. Do not expect the story to make sense, just enjoy the action and comedy. Close off half your brain when watching it. It is a goofy comedy.

Pretty basic chinese actioneer. Excellent visuals. A little heavy on the CGI in a few areas. Its a fun and entertaining films. Its not citizen kane... but its an entertaining film.

But it simply for price even though it never heard of it what I want to watch it but it's lack of your digital copy makes it really worth it

This movie is very different from other movies done by Donnie Yen but I like it anyway.

Hard to understand foreign film. Full of unrealistic martial arts and base comedy.

First off, I am a huge Donnie Yen fan since the early 80's and I have watched all of his movies both good and bad. And this movie ranks as one of his worst. This is a Donnie Yen movie and what do people watch Donnie Yen movies for? It's for his action and well choreographed fight scenes, well, this movie had very little of it. Maybe because it's more of a prologue of what is to come. The movie ends with a cliffhanger setting up a sequel so I hope the sequel will at least provide us fans with some awesome action. The story was laughable because it makes no sense and it tries to be a comedy but ends up being awkward. It's supposedly a remake of a 1989 movie nameed the Iceman Cometh but there is nothing that resembles that movie except that the main character and villains were frozen and came back to life during the present. Do yourself a favor and watch the 1989 movie, that was a classic.

Will definitely make you laugh. Interesting plot and decent acting.
