I love the Da Vinci! Even when it whistles Mozart 'a little night music'! The carafe feels comfortable in the hand and is easy to reach! I had to get used to the bubbling and knocking noices. Cleaning the permanent filters takes on) you about 4 minutes! Not longer than any other perm filter. I am using medium strong coffee beans and grind them on 'French Press'. 1 scoop per cup! It will not fit under the cabinet once the lid is open. setup is super easy! Lit buttons show you, what to do. The coffee tastes great and is hot! For someone, who appreciates a good cup of java, like me!

It makes delicious, delicious coffee. The only way to go wrong is to overfill the filter with grounds - beware, it will overflow in a heartbeat! Kind of tricky to clean thoroughly - completely worth it. Delicious coffee!

iCoffee uses a "swirling" method to more fully saturate the coffee grounds. It also does not use paper filters, but two metal reusable screens. The intent is to create a brew with more coffee oils and particles (sediment) than most drip coffee makers - in order to get a richer coffee flavor. The flavor is indeed different - but if you don't like a little oil on the surface of your coffee and a bit of sediment on the bottom, you might not like this coffee maker (and we didn't). It also has more parts to clean than most, so is more work. We returned it - but would recommend it to someone looking for the type of coffee it makes.

This coffee pot takes the bitterness/acidity out of the coffee. The coffee tastes smooth. I would not hesitate to purchase this product again.
