Disappointing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Igby goes down is about a teenager who has some problems including a rich Mom and Brother and an insane Father. This movie is supposed to be off the vein of Catcher in the Rye. Unfortunately I think this falls short. The acting is not bad and picking Kieran Culkin was a good idea since all the Culkin brothers look the same and they could use his younger brother Rory to play Igby as a kid. Igby can't seem to stay in any school he always gets kicked out and goes to another. I have heard a lot of good things about this movie, yet I can't see why. Maybe had I seen it as a troubled teenager I may have liked it... I doubt it though.
