Fits perfect in the small space we have in our apartment.

Just the right size for our needs. Product was easy to set up, a bit difficult to get level as only the front has leveling feet. Product works great and runs quiet, only a very dull hum when compressor comes on. Shelves are deep enough for plenty of storage. Only draw back is no light to indicate it is on. However, placing a thermometer inside allows you to monitor temperature.And as advertised this is not frost free.

I was so excited that I had found an upright freezer that was a great size, great price, and made by igloo !! They had me at Igloo. I replaced a smaller Kenmore with this great buy. I filled all shelves, but the top with food. The top is reserved for quick freezing. After 3 weeks, every empty spot was filled with snowlike ice. I turned it down a little from normal, then it stopped, defrosted, and ruined my food. You have to unplug and try again later. It still didn't work. I spoke to someone who claimed not to be in India and claimed to have a generic name like "John Smith". It's hard to trust someone who clearly is not being honest. I was instructed to mail the freezer back to them and "be sure to buy insurance". What ?!!! I have a warranty and I am expected to pay for that? The price for shipment would have been more than the purchase price. Luckily for me, the Best Buy manager in Midland, TX let me return the freezer and just get a different brand. I opted to buy a brand that is known to be in the appliance-making business. Igloo should just stick to what it does best - camping equipment - and let the appliance makers make the appliances. I am jealous that some had their freezer work for 5 months and up to a year. For those who think they have a good product, check your freezer often.

Thought this model, delivered free of charge from Best Buy, would be ideal in the garage. Size was perfect. Little else was. Needed manually defrosting every couple of weeks, then after seven months it stopped working. A call to warranty people --- Curtis International, allegedly in Illinois --- summoned up a character with an Indian accent who assured me that if I turned the temperature control up and down six times the factory settings would return and everything would be fine. That didn't work, and neither, still, does the freezer. For warranty work, I have to mail the freezer up to Illinois where they might, or might not, repair it. Forget it. It goes out with the garbage tomorrow, and I will never buy another Igloo product. Rubbish.

This is a very good freezer for the money. We paid ~$135 for it after the rewards points coupons and discount for using our Best Buy charge card. Wow... You just can't beat it, regardless of the slightly bent metal on the bottom of the freezer. We have it set not at its coldest setting and it's about -25 degrees. It's a very quiet operating freezer and it consumes a modest amount of energy. We also looked at Energy Star upight freezers, but the price of these freezers compared to the energy cost savings made it not worth the price. Compared to the cost of this freezer, it was a no brainer. The operating cost of this freezer wasn't that much more compared to the cost of the Energy Star units. We highly recommend this freezer, but be sure it's not damaged before taking it home. We had to order it and wait for it to arrive in the store. I wish I opened the box at the store before taking it home. We decided to live with the damage since we paid so little for it. It doesn't sit evenly on the floor, but it's easily fixed with a few shims.

After reading all the reviews on this freezer, which were split 50/50, I decided to take a chance. For the price, if it gave out in 6 mth, so be it. Freezer was delivered, set up and took only 4 hrs to get to temp to put my food into it. So far freezer is great. I love how quiet it is. This roof inside started to ice up rather quickly, but other than that, it's great. Glad I decide to go against all the bad reviews. Hopefully, I won't be posting that it died 6 mths from now!

This freezer has been a problem. It just started defrosting after I had it 7 months. Called the manufacturer, which is Curtis. The customer service rep 10,000 miles from here that I had an issue understanding(and there is nothing wrong with my hearing....)told me to turn it off and unplug it for 24hrs. Then plug it back in and turn it up all the way to reset it. Mind you I had lost a freezer of food already. I do not go out to it everyday. It did reset and gained my cautious trust. I watched for several weeks. It worked great. Then I got back to my normal routine with it. It happened again. There went another freezer of food. Called Curtis again and my foreign friend told me the same thing. When I told him I wanted a replacement, he told me to ship it to Illinois and we will check it out and see what we can do. I told him I would not pay for shippimg etc. So I called my local store and the manager of the appliance dept heard me out and took care of it. I am getting an exchange. Thank you Best Buy. But two freezers of food and a lot of drama and grief is not worth it. Do not buy this piece of junk!!!

Where to start? I tried to switch the door (as advertised) but it is so poorly made the screw holes were not straight. 2 hours later trying to get it to work, put it back as original and decided to live with it. Then, tried to level it. There was a dent in the back so there was no way to level even with 4 shims. Finally, plugged it in, moved the cool dial to Max, and three days later, water was not yet frozen yet some of the coils had frost on them. I wanted a small upright and thought this would be the best thing since sliced bread. NO! Had to go larger and with a tried and true brand to get anything resembling quality.

The freezer is a upright so its easy to find and access food. It's pretty quiet, and hold a lot of our frozen food. It's very light and could be easily moved if we needed to. It was great ourchase, and delivered and installed when expected.

We had a 20 year old kenmore chest freezer about the same interior space but in terms of access chest freezers are a pain to access what ever is buried at the bottom. For that reason, this one being an upright, and also for reasons of energy efficiency we decided this model would be a good replacement. The delivery people were exceptionally helpful and polite and it was appreciated. The unit isn't too large, it is a perfect middle sized upright freezer. It was plugged in and was ice cold within 15 minutes. Overall a very nice freezer for the money. The only thing that we would change is that the shelves are not adjustable. We had a 20 lb. turkey that was in the old one and put it in the new one and it barely squeezed in between the shelves with no space to spare whatsoever. We checked all the other local sources, big box stores and nobody had one that was comparable.

I have been using this freezer since mid September 2010. It is extremely quiet. It has a very small footprint taking up very little floor space. It holds food for two quite adequately. I love it. I wish it had a hose connection for easier defrosting.
