when turning it on and shutting it down it has a deep bass tone, and that's it, you will never hear any bass out of this no matter what the settings are set to (even with tone boost on) it is just a music box without any deep bass sound, i have a iHome iBT372 and a JBL Flip5 that both put out way more bass at 1/4 the size than this does. another annoying thing is that every time it is turned on the light mode is automatically turned on, even if the lighting was off when shut down. if you like a deep bass sound i suggest looking elsewhere. and lastly if you pause a video for a few minutes it will shut off which is very annoying.
