If you're hesitant about buying this speaker--in spite of how cool it looks--because you're afraid it won't sound that great... ...Set aside your fear (we all know where THAT leads)--it's a surprisingly good speaker! It still delivers clear sound at what I consider an earsplitting volume (one I can never actually play it at, unless I wanted to invite retribution from the neighbors). Yet the detailing is also of pleasingly high quality--and as a bonus, the logo and cockpit are infused with a calming blue LED glow when your space fighter is rocking the room. Basically, this little gem functions perfectly well as both a toy collectible AND a speaker--without the concomitant compromise in quality that you were expecting from a hybrid like this (as sad experience has taught us that a thing can either be a cool-looking X-Wing Fighter, or a sweet-sounding speaker, but never both). I ultimately got it paired with Alexa (that was a bit of an ordeal, but just think what a Jedi-in-training would have to go through) and now it obeys my every command...except for flying around and lasering my enemies, of course. While you can probably find a speaker that is cheaper, more capable of thumping your walls apart, or more supercilious of aspect...you are NO WAY going to find one this capable of inducing Star-Wars-Philia meltdown. Because it not only looks good (your desk NEEDS a fantastical space fighter!), it also sounds good (it really is a viable speaker!) In essence, it marries form and function to the degree some of us have been longing for in "character-related" electronics, which is so rarely realized. I also think it's pretty cool that you can basically give it a risk-free trial by picking it up locally--and then if it's not exactly The Moons of Endor for you, you could always just return it. But let's be realistic: if you (or your intended recipient, if you're of a more generous nature) fall within the target demographic--you know perfectly well who fits--then you'd better just give your Ulysses a big fat kiss goodbye because THIS SPEAKER IS AWESOME. So yes, it's true, Virginia. You can have your X-Wing Fighter on your desk and listen to it, too...!

great sound cool looks great for star wars fans of all ages

This is my second novelty Star Wars bluetooth speaker. This lost the 3.5mm hookup option and the auto play theme song function, but it gained assistant compatibility and better sound quality. I would say that's a good trade off. High notes that would crackle on my older Tie Fighter speaker play fine on this. Don't hesitate to get this if you're a fan. It really can be used as a decent Bluetooth speaker in a pinch!

This is very well made toy/bluetooth speaker and works as promised. Sound quality is good enough. I use it for my desktop PC whose headphone jack is way back in the tower under the table and did not want to use too many wires for speakers. This makes up for good showpiece as well - at the same time serves a useful purpose.
