It is decent for outdoor use, but to maximize the sound checkout the iHome iBT374 weather tough speaker which provides 20 watts of audio output power and can be connected to another iBT374 for true stereo sound. It has a rugged design that is durable. Disappointed in the battery. I can only charge to 1 bar (out of 5). It is one month old but never did fully charge.
