I bought this for my husband for x-mas. He hooks it up to his ipad and plays his electric guitar to what ever music is on. Pretty cool gadget!

it’s a little noisy at times (like the wires get wiggled and it buzzes and hums a bit) though, and the volume seems to be kinda low, but it works

I normally use irig to hook up to garage band. It's like having an amp and pedal board in your ipad.

I am glad I waited for a price drop on this item. The plastic design is feeble. The internal connections need to be constantly removed from instrument chord to get machine to get across and have sound. Once you get it going its ok for a few moments.

I found this to be a nice little gift for my friend for Christmas. Unfortunately, it isn't the best of quality. There are better tools out there if you're willing to pay a bit more. However, it does what it states it does. I am just whelmed.

Thought it would make practice more fun but after 5 min of toneless guitar and a 14.99 amp app, i switched back to my acoustic and haven't touched it again. Good idea but sound needs major help and the free app should have all effects

Small, portable, and easy to use. $40 for the unit then another $20 for the app to use it, and more if you want Fender cabs and additional effects. I guess that is understandable, it's not a charity app/product, however, the app costs were a bit unexpected. It is great for being portable and not bad for connecting to your stack, but I wish it was easier to connect to a Windows based computer. Overall a pretty cool product for being about the size a roll of nickels.

I'm broke and have not dabbled much in Electric guitar and effects. It was always too expensive and confusing. THIS device is amazing, I have noe even figured out all of the features yet. It is a little fluky, like sometimes the effects dont kick in, but I just close and then reopen it and its fine. I bought it 2 weeks ago, after reading about all the problems of the update. So I have not taken any updates to it, and have not had any problems with it. I use it with an amplifier and headphones. I have no issue with it, I even plugged it into my car stereo and sat outside in the parking lot playing before one of my lessons. I'm going to advise all of my students to buy it, those that have the ipod of course (which is also AMAZING)

This sounds great - I use iPhone 3GS and headphones when I need it to be portable and when I am in my project studio I plug it into my mixers and it sounds SWEET coming out of the monitors. The app is where the magic happens, though I'm told this adapter does impedance matching and other stuff to get the guitar sounding best. I hope so, though it doesn't cost a lot it also isn't pocket change for some of us. The sound is really really good and I practice with it mostly but I suppose I'd record with it in a pinch. That's one beef - no recording in the app. They say they are adding it and I'll update as soon as available and try it. Their computer app does recording really nicely now, so it should be good but the iPhone is a different game so we'll see.
