This speaker serves its purpose, having better sound than the TV itself and acting as a TV stand. However, it does have some issues. I originally programmed my universal remote to turn it off and on with all the other necessary devices for a given activity. I found that turning it off was a bad idea, as when it comes on it is at full volume--not friendly to those sleeping when turning a TV on for breakfast. Also, regardless of using the supplied remote or the universal remote, this device does not respond well to remote control actions like mute and volume up/down. It often does not respond to the command at all or responds slowly, making it tough to be enjoying some louder music and suddenly need to mute for a phone call. Ultimately it is an improvement over the TV's sound, but it can be a headache. I guess you get what you pay for as the price is very reasonable.

I wanted something with better sound than the speaker on the small LED TV in my game room. I ran across this device while I was browsing online. It wasn't expensive, so I gave it a try. Setting it up was easy. As the description says, it is sturdy enough that my TV can sit on top of it. In fact it is big enough that a small TV and compact Blu-ray player can share the top of the unit without stacking them. I had to experiment with my TV's menu to get the right audio output setting for the soundbase, but once I did I had all the sound I wanted. The soundbase has an output for a subwoofer if you want to add one (I don't.) I can also use the TV without turning on the soundbase if I choose. Make sure you know what kind of sound outputs your TV or other audio source has. The unit has inputs for digital optical audio, RCA audio (red & white plugs), and line in (audio from a TV's earphone jack). The TV I originally planned to use has a digital audio coaxial output, but not optical or RCA types. Fortunately I had another small TV I could use. There are also adapters that convert one type of audio output to another, but an adapter isn't included with the unit. The product description says it has Bluetooth capability. I don't plan to use mine as a Bluetooth device, so I haven't explored this feature. There are better soundbases available, but they cost a lot more. This one does exactly what I wanted, was easy to set up, and is economically priced. Five stars!

Sound not the best, but a good upgrade to my tv. I do not have a subwoofer. That could improve it. Bluetooth connection worked well, but I prefer component connection. DIrectv remote handles volume control fine, but took a couple times to get it right.

This sound bar is okay you can almost achieve the same effect by tuning your TV all the way up. I purchased this because of the price. I'm not very impressed

I ordered his for my parents. They were having a hard time hearing from their TV speakers (both are in their 70s). I was looking for a speaker that would fit under their TV and give them more sound. I was impressed by the amount of sound coming from the speakers and the height of the speaker was perfect to fit their cable box right next to the speaker.

Warning. The dimensions given in the specifications are the box size, not the product dimensions. This was too small for my 55" tv and will be going back
