After a brief hiatus and venturing off into a solo project, David Draiman and the guys from Disturbed return to solidify their place in Heavy Rock / Metal by becoming Immortalized! This 13 track barrage of Disturbed goodness (16 if you get the Best Buy Exclusive; and yes the 3 bonus tracks are worth it) as well as some slight experimentation's with digital programming keep the songs fresh not losing the flavor of Disturbed fans have come to love through the years. Some tracks like The Light and The Sound of Silence (the always one song cover on the album) provide the break yet musical enjoyment between some of the heavier tracks like Who and Never Wrong but make this another Chart Topping album to own. Part of being immortal is to maintain the basic formula, as well as mix in something new and Disturbed successfully does it here!

I think it's little pricey, Even if it's considered a deluxe, I just don't think you get enough bonus for almost $17 Bucks... But all and all..a good group.. and i will suport them..Best Buy's quality 1 out of 10 would say, though a little pricey, would still give (8).. they garuntee a flawless product and for that it's worth it..open it after you buy it, Right there..CD's can be bad, flip disc over and look at it..if there is any bleaching on the disc, replace it, looks like lines going through the silver part..That means the burned film resin is pulling away from the disc..it can loose data over time..you should see NOTHING on the silver play side of the disc.

After a 5 year Hiatus, Disturbed is back! The new album is fantastic. Before their break, the band seemed to be running into that period where most tracks were starting to sound the same. Well, not so on this album. 2 songs especially stand out as very different for them - "The Light" is outstanding, with a powerful and positive message and their cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence" is haunting. The song starts very softly and builds to a seemingly effortless and powerful crescendo. The band has hit a homerun with this album. Stop reading and go buy it!

When Disturbed dropped the first single-- Vengeful One-- a couple weeks ago, it blew everyone's minds. Not only because its one of the best tracks this band has ever released, but because NOBODY knew they were back in the studio. So it is a pleasant surprise regardless of if the cd is good or not I think.
But don't worry. This cd absolutely rocks!!!! Its what you would expect from Disturbed. Upon the first listen I thought this was one of the best releases this band has ever given us. Of course its new, so that might have something to do with it.

I've been a fan of Disturbed for several years now, and to date have purchased every album they've released. And while I do enjoy their sound, it should be noted that after a while, many of their songs start to sound the same. This holds true for Immortalized as well; a solid effort, but not one of their best.
That being said, a couple of tracks are worth note: "The Light" is probably one of the more, er, "cheerful" tracks Disturbed has ever put out, being an anthem for making it through the rough patches, and has a slightly different feel from their usual work. Then there is the cover of "The Sound of Silence." Disturbed has done some standout covers in the past, but this one is fairly unique. It begins very low-key but builds as it progresses, musically relying largely on piano and symphonic backing rather than the more familiar metal style Disturbed has applied to their remakes before; it retains the spirit and sentiment of the original while giving it Draiman's signature vocal flair, particularly in the latter half.
The deluxe version includes bonus tracks which I found unremarkable.
While not my favorite, it's still a worthwhile addition to any Disturbed fan's collection.

If you are reading this, you are more than likely a Disturbed fan. And if that is the case, then you can expect more of the same from Disturbed. This album doesn't break any new ground, it isn't experimental, but there are definitely some great moments on this album. "The Light" is a stand alone track which showcases David's range, and "You're Mine" has a definite 'dance' vibe to it and then builds into a storming rock song with plenty of aggression and real catchy chorus.
In summary, another great album from Disturbed, if you've liked previous albums of theirs, this one will not disappoint!

If you like Disturbed you should get this album. The sound is as tight and refined as ever. First four tracks just totally rock, with the "Vengeful One" being the best and typical Disturbed, in my opinion. "The Light" is an interesting change in delivery with nice melodic touch with a driving beat. The remake of "Sound of Silence" is an awesome interpretation on the original, while not trying to be too powerful. I also enjoyed the last bonus track "The Brave and the Bold". All in all a good Disturbed album to listen to again and again. Make sure it is in your collection!

I had only heard one song from this album (The Light) via a local Rock station but I didn't hesitate to buy it once I saw it on the shelf. These guys have not disappointed me yet and unless they go Country I have faith they'll keep on rocking my road trips. The rendition of "Sound of Silence" seems so wrong for these guys, up until the point you hear it. Now, it's one of my favorite cover songs by anyone.

This album has everything you have come to love about Disturbed. The songs are upbeat, raw and calming. They will make you think and feel. This is one of their best. The remake for the Sound of Silence is a spine tingling, make the hair on the back of your neck stand up awesome goodness. Even if you don't listen to Disturbed, you should check out at least that song. The whole album runs you through with life, death, love, loss and solemness.

Disturbed is one of my all-time fave bands. Long-awaited return cd was well worth the wait! First single "The Vengeful One" hit #1, deservedly so, as this kickstarted their return. "Fire It Up" a tribute to pot is another awesome song, as is "The Light", the second single. The shocker is the Simon & Garfunkel remix, but they actually sing it as the ballad it was intended, their first ballad. No disappointment at all.

Disturbed haven't changed much and if your a fan, I think you'll be happy. I'm still getting used to the production on Immortalized, not my favorite and I wish they would have given Dan more solos, but I love this album and there are some nice surprises. My favorite album is still "Believe". Welcome Back Disturbed!! Buy the Digipack with the bonus tracks, they rock and are worthy. Buy at Best Buy

All I can say about this album, is that IT ROCKS!!! There is not one bad song on this album, you really have to hear it to believe it. And pick up the deluxe version, you will have a few more songs on it, and it is very well worth it..

What can you say about Disturbed that hasn't been said in the 15 years that they've been a major label band? They returned after a 5 year hiatus from making new albums - the last one was 2010's Asylum. And they haven't missed a step. This album shows the maturity that the band experienced in their time away, but it still has the sound that only Disturbed creates.

If you like Disturbed, you'll like this album. It continues their great hard rocking sound and even throws in a little bit of a lighter piece with a cover of "The Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel. While I liked the side projects (Device, Fight or Flight, Adrenaline Mob), it just wasn't on the same level as Disturbed. Glad to have them back!

After a long await Disturbed returns with a great album and never disappoints with Amazing songs like "The Light" and an Amazing Cover of Simon and Garfunkel's "Sound Of Silence" where David Draiman's voice really shines. As a whole album this was Amazing!!! just like anything they did in the past. Which is why I own every album of theirs.

Disturbed returns from their hiatus with an awesome album. I enjoy every track on the CD. The cover of "The Sound Of Silence" is particularly haunting. The rest of the CD packs that hard rock punch in the teeth that Disturbed is well known for. If you are a fan of their other releases this should go in your collection as well.

I was really looking forward to this release and I was not disappointed. Has the Disturbed sound that I like plus some new sounds that add to it. I've found myself listening to this album over and over and enjoying every time. Another great cover included as well. Great work! Highly recommended.

Bought this CD for the cover song "Sound of Silence" which appeared on the Blacklist. Was very surprised that the rest of the album was great. This is the first CD I bought from this band. They made a fan out of me. Look forward to new releases in the future from them.

While I love all of Disturbed's albums, this album showed their diversity as a band, not only sonically but also lyrically. This album has amazing hits and after their hiatus, they don't appear to have missed a beat. I'm not a fan of one of the songs on the cd, but overall amazing cd.

I would have to imagine that no fans of Disturbed will be disappointed by this album. It has the familiar Disturbed sound. I was surprised that they chose to cover Sounds of Silence on this album but in typical Disturbed fashion, I think they cover it very well.
