The Mini iPad portfolio case protects the screen when I'm not using the mini. The portfolio is convertible in that in can be used in 'book mode', 'tablet mode', & 'tabletop mode'. The 'tabletop mode' has several positions to select from as well. The portfolio has no zipper or snap to get in the way. You open / close the portfolio just like a notebook. It's exactly what I was looking for.

I received a $25 Best Buy gift card with the purchase of my iPad Mini so I decided to use it on a protective case. The day after I received my gift card I went back to Best Buy to look at the cases. I was looking for one that was heavy enough to protect not only the screen, but the back and edges of the unit. I found this one, although a bit pricey and more than I was initially want to spend (remember I went in with a $25 gift card), for the extra cash I was comfortable knowing this case would do the job as intended. The only downside, the closure strap is probably going to be the first thing to break. A magnetic ones like the Apple cases would be better suited.

The case is made well and seems to hold up well to normal use.

This case is great value for money. It looks good and isn't too bulky. It also is solid to stand the iPad on the side position but a little more difficult foe holding in your hands.

Overall, I like this case for my iPad mini. It is professional looking, has a nice leather feel, excellent sizing for carrying like a small book and provides moderate cushioning and protection from shock and random collisions with objects. The only weakness is in the sleeve that holds the iPad. If incase had designed the sleeve to fit flush around the iPad bezel like some of the other cover-style cases, it would make this a perfect case. The way the sleeve is designed now, it covers a bit too much of the iPad face and prevents the inherent beauty of the iPad design to show through. Overall, this weakness is cosmetic-related only.

I completely reccommend this case. It has many different positions that it can be used in, plus the magnet in it that locks/unlocks the screen is pretty cool. The case is also very soft and smooth! Does exactly what it should do and is great quality.

I bought this case as a stocking stuffer this Xmas for my mom who is a first time IPad user. The case is a perfect tool for a first time user who for travels or is on the go. She really loves the case.
