It only covers HALF of the top and bottom but secures all buttons down in case so they are covered. It is a HARDCASE. For some reason I thought it was going to be a soft/hard silicone case but it's not. It does the job. I've dropped my phone in this case over a handful of times already and I just bought it. Durable, but with it only covering half the top/bottom. Not bad for sale price.
