Got this case for $5 when ordering the Moto G5 on release. I normally don't like cases with texture, but I love how this one feels. My phone feels safe (and has sustained several drops with no damage), and it looks great too. Highly recommend.

I prefer slim two-piece cases that consist of a very soft surgical silicone gasket that wraps around the circumference of the phone and a hard outer shell that slips onto the silicone gasket (e.g., casemate). This allows for good shock resistance but unlike a one piece, when contaminants start getting inside the case, the outer shell is actually not touching or barely touching the phone so the scratching of those particles is significantly reduced. With a one-piece case, contaminants that get inside the case chafe directly against the phone. Unfortunately, this was the only case for a Moto G5 in stock at the local Best Buy, so I had to settle for it. I think the price is a little high for a one-piece with no screen protector but it is a high-quality case.
