This is probably the smartest way to get additional battery life on the go that any smartphone/accessory company has come up with so far. Some phones have user-changeable batteries, which is only so useful in a pinch because you have to power down the phone, pop out the dead battery, pop in the charged one, then turn the phone back on again. Portable "charging banks" are slightly better, because you neither have to power down your phone nor find a wall outlet to charge up, but in the end you're still tethered by a wire of some kind to the power bank which is awkward at best if you're moving around. Then there's this... the Moto Mod implementation of the power bank. Getting low on battery? Grab one of these, it magnetically attaches to the back of any Moto Z family phone, and boom, you get an extra 2220 mAh of battery. Granted, this is not as much capacity as most portable power banks offer (those can be as high as 10,000 mAh or more) but it's certainly enough to give the phone a good amount of additional battery life. To address a complaint I've seen around the internet: "this charges the phone slowly". Yes, that is more or less correct, as it has a max output of 1A. However, this is not really an issue. What I have found is that if you're actively using the phone with this attached, it seems to mostly draw battery from the power pack rather than the phone's battery. If the drain isn't high enough, or if the phone is mostly idle, it will charge up the phone's battery at a moderate pace (wayyy slower than the Turbo wall charger, but again, fast enough for most uses). Mine has even kept pace and very slowly increased my phone's battery while using navigation and playing an audio book at the same time. This to me is perfectly acceptable. If they pushed more current out of the power pack, all of the extra heat generated would reduce the battery life and longevity of both batteries, so I am 100% happy with the speed they chose. One last note: buy the wireless charging one (this one, or the wireless charging version of the Kate Spade or Tumi ones). They are only $10 more for the wireless charging, and it makes this way more convenient. I can completely drain one of these on my phone, then just pop it on the wireless charger while I keep using my phone. The non-wireless charging ones have to be charged while connected to the phone, and the phone to the wall charger. It's less convenient, but still works out okay... We have one of these and one of the non-wireless charging Kate Spade ones, and I wish I had just forked over the extra $10 for the wireless charging Kate Spade one. I give this 4 stars. Good quality, amazing portability. For the features, I think this is quite a bit overpriced. I was able to get mine partially on sale and partially with a gift card, so it wan't too bad, but it would be hard to justify the list price under most circumstances. So 4 stars overall.

Absolutely love my snap on battery. I never leave home without them. I've actually bought another so I always have a spare.

This is a must have to compliment the Droid Moto Force. I do alot of travel and do not always have the ability to be near a charger to recharge the main phone battery. This option of the add on mod is awesome. The adding of the mod is seamless and easy with no interruptions to the use of the phone. A must have add on

This is a very simple add-on, but works great with the phone. Snapping this on typically makes sure that my main phone battery finishes the day at about 70%. And I'm a very heavy user of my phone (with a lot of Wifi tethering). With the Turbo Charger it takes very little time to recharge. Highly recommended!

Unlike the Tumi. This pack has a nice back that has some good grip. The thickness is not so much an issue. Feels great in the hand on a z force. The mod does add some heft but you get use to it. Phone gets 12 hours of on screen time with it.

This item saved me so many times when the battery on my Moto Z would run low. It snaps in with ease and works as advertised. The trade off of adding just a little bulk to the phone is worth the extra screen time this mod affords you.

The battery does a great job of filling in when you have not realized that you have used the built in battery. Slim profile and doesn't change the look of the phone. We haven't had to fully utilize the full charge that is has. Great product. Can't wait for additional mods to be released.

A nice addition to the phone. With it on, I can get almost a day out of it before it switches over to the main battery. If main battery is almost dead, it charges it back up to around 50%, and pretty quick (about an hour). I wish they had a cover that would work over it.

Easy to install, charge and use with QI charging mat. Recommended.

I was unsure about this product due to my being a new motorola and new android user. I brought it with me on a business trip and it gave me an extra day of battery life so I did not need to charge the phone while I was traveling. My only issue is that it gets hot when it is close to dying. Other than that, a great product and very useful.

The z2 force was a little to thin to hold in my hand. The battery pack actually makes it feel whole. And it has wireless charging. With this and the internal battery you really can go all day and night with the z2.

Incredible and helps me conserve the phone battery life as it's never cycled. Less cycles more life or of the phone battery. I use it every day all the time. Not that thick at all. Phone (Moto Z Droid) it's thin enough.

This mod is a must for the Moto z. It increases battery life for multiple days with options of efficiency mode or just keeping you topped off at 100℅. And with its wireless charging available it's just an added bonus.

Lasts a whole day, phone charges from mod first before using its own battery. Downside none of the cases fit on it with the mod.

Just bought this for my new moto z2 force and with this battery and the actual phone battery I can use it consistently for two days. Adds a bit of weight but helps to make the phone feel better in your hand.

Use it quite often. It gives a boost to help me get through the day if I'm going to be using my phone more than usual. It offers wireless charging which isn't available on the Moto z otherwise. I just wish it had a charging port so if you don't use wireless charging it can be charged separate from the phone.
