Nice, but not perfect, collectors set

Worthy purchases for Indiana Jones fans. Steelbook cases are very nice and came undamaged. Video/audio quality also very good. This set would have been perfect if the collection of Steelbooks came in a metal container, instead of this throw-away paper variation - Example, how The Lord of the Rings set came would have been preferred. This is similar to the recent Back to the Future Steelbook trilogy, where's it like the manufactures expect you to take out the Steelbooks and place them on your shelve individually.

GREAT PQ/AQ, poor packaging and features….

One star removed for the flimsy packaging. The steelbooks themselves are pretty decent, though I would have preferred the original poster artwork on them. The cardboard case that holds the steelbooks is very weak and hollow, making it easy to get damaged. The picture quality of the remastered 4K discs is about as amazing as it will ever get! I am very satisfied with the image, and the sound quality is amazing too! Very clear, clean, and sounds great in modern surround sound setups. The special features are the same as what came with the blu-ray release years ago, and it’s a shame nothing new was included. Still an overall worthy purchase!

Must-own set even with a flimsy box!

While I gave this four stars, it is still a must-own set in every way for four classic films! Side note, I will die upon the hill saying that Crystal Skull is slightly better than The Last Crusade, but even so, all four are amazing and are must haves for a collection of 4K films! The steelbooks themselves are great, but the thing that lowered this to four stars is simply the insanely flimsy and cheap box around the steelbooks. I know this is well documented, but come on - REALLY? Awful. Nevertheless, the 4K masters are gorgeous, and I highly recommend this set, just know that the cardboard box quality is really, really bad.

Mediocre package. Great for Spielberg 4K collector

I would like to have seen a more unique design on the individual SteelBook cases, one that hues closer to the original movie posters and marketing. Though I did view the cover art before purchasing so I wasn't rudely surprised by the minimal artwork. The outer packaging is very cheap and flimsy. Not sure that it will last on a collector's shelf. Perhaps with minimal handling, it might. If you're a fan of this franchise and your goal is to fill-in your Spielberg 4K collection then this is obviously the right (and only) option for you. If you're looking for a resplendent home video package, this release does not fit the bill.

Great upgrade but missed opportunity on packaging

This is regarding the 4k steelbook box set. This is a definite buy if you're expecting a better experience visually and sound. Its an amazing upgrade from the bluray set. All four movies are incredibly better. Now regarding the packaging of the box set. It's not great. The quantity of the steelbooks themselves are the same as any other BestBuy steelbook. The art leaves a little something to be desired. The case the movies are housed in is extremely cheap. This is where I have a greater grip. Its just confusing to see a steelbook set like the Rambo set done infinitely better.

The Indiana Jones set is an upgrade over the blu ray release. You still have some film grain and a more natural color overall. The steelbooks themselves are nice. Ive seen some wish they had more full color artwork as opposed to the more libersl use of white space. Its going to be personal preference but I quite like them. The only downside is the box itseld is rather flimsy carboard. It would have been nice if we had tins like the LotR set. But considering the shipping issues and damage maybe cardboard was for the best but then I would have liked some sturdier stock.

    DOLBY ATMOS...REALLY?

Nicely packaged, with some great behind the scenes extras. While a nice improvement, clarity wise..the 4K transfer is terrific, it disappoints a bit in sound. It is a STATIC ATMOS mix. That is NOT what you expect from Dolby ATMOS. The sound is clear and yes, enhanced from previous versions, but you would be hard pressed to call it ATMOS. There are FEW, if any, examples of object based sound careening all around you. The AUDIO is why I only give 4 stars, the video is above average. By the way, just skip TEMPLE OF DOOM....I think it detracts from the franchise.

4K movies with pictures and audio that is definitely worth the upgrade from Blu-ray if you are a fan or own a 4K TV. The picture is noticeably cleaner with a hint of grain. Contrast and color is fantastic. The audio has been remixed and it has a much wider soundstage. 4 movie discs each in its own steelcase and one “extras” disc within one of the steelcase, 5 total. The overall packaging is flimsy but not necessary if you just want to keep the steelcases. It does not include the map insert that comes with the regular non steel case 4K release. No DVD and the digital copy is for the the 4K movie.

This steelbook collection deserved so much better

I think anyone considering the Indiana Jones collection in a steelbook format over the regular set is buying it as a collector. If you look at past sets from Best Buy such as the first 4 Batman films, Lord of the Rings and Hobbit saga's etc you would be expecting a beautifully crafted set with nice steel box that contains them all. Unfortunately, one the greatest screen hero's of our generations and most hotly anticipated sets of the past few years not only got mediocre artwork on the cases but it was all presented in what feels like a disposable cardboard box. This is insulting and misleading to the collectors that have been faithfully building their collections on and basing their trust on Best Buy's past exclusives. I can't tell you to skip this or buy it since you will make up your own mind as to what has value but I do consider 4K UHD releases in these times to be quite possibly the last iterations of physical media we will ever see and must buy's. With streaming contaminating every avenue possible in which to consume media and increasing revenue tenfold for corporations it's less likely we will see these classics in a collectible format again. It's shame Best Buy went the cheap route and went with thin cardboard will no doubt end up getting damaged in shipment. Mine came is perfect condition but not everyone was so lucky. I hate venting but this particular release deserved better. Best Buy dropped the ball with the Skywalker Saga as well but UK company Zavvi stepped in provided proper steelbooks so keep an eye for these possibly seeing a second life there.

Indiana Jones has never looked or sounded better! The previous Blu-rays were mastered from film so long ago that they just didn't hold up to modern discs. These newly remastered 4K Blu-ray discs are demonstrably better truly do the Indiana Jones movies justice. The image quality is a big step up, not only on clearly improved detail, but the addition of HDR (Dolby Vision in this case) really makes some of the scenes pop in ways they never did before, even in the theater! And the new Atmos soundtracks are far more enveloping. If you love these films, you must have this collection.

After recently purchasing the new 4K Lord of the rings box set, I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this collection. The outer box is an extremely flimsy cardboard box that was partially damaged in shipping, and the dividers are also just thin cardboard. You would think they would have used as high quality of packaging as they used in Lord of the rings with the steel outer box and foam dividers.

The quality of these 4k movies are incredible! They have never looked and sounded better. Definitely recommend on the video quality alone. It only gets 4 stars though because while the steelbook casing is nice with interesting cover art, the box it comes in is absolutely terrible. Unless you are someone who can't bring themselves to throwing boxes out, I recommend just throwing it out. Saves space and you lose nothing of value. Super flimsy box that came dented up.

Call me whatever you want but sad to say that this is the first time I have watched these film! The 4 films looks great considering their age. Paramount did a great job in remaster ing these 4 films plus the added new dolby atmos track with added to the excitement of the films. Hopefully the next in coming movies looks great like this especially the old cataloged. One bad thing though, and I know that you know that already... The box that houses the steel books looks cheap and luxury e paid for a premium price for it. Too bad!!!

The classic adventure films have never looked or sounded better, with a gorgeous 4K restoration that makes everything pop. Each film is presented in a beautiful white steelbook featuring minimalist art that represents the plot device for each film. Unfortunately, the outer box that houses the steels is very thin cardboard, and as such is prone to dents and tears. It would have been nice to have gotten a hard plastic or steel case like other series have gotten recently. Still, if you're a fan of the series, these are definitely a must-have!

First off, the movies look and sound amazing on 4k and Dolby Atmos. No reason to not buy the movies if you're a fan. However, Best Buy, the packaging is not good. I really wish you had just used the original poster art for these SteelBooks like the later individual releases. But I bought these for the movie and not the packaging.

I don't know if these movies could look any better. But I'll probably pick up 8K, anyway. I even like the 4th movie, because I watched my 7-year old savor every moment of it. Fight me lol. One reviewer that gave it a positive review wondered if it would be his favorite if it was the first one. My 7-year old (now 9- I also owned the blurays), still says Raiders is his favorite. To me, it's the only best one. But all the others are about on par with each other, which make them some of the best action movies ever.

The 4K transfers and the disks are great. This review is of the packaging. As others have pointed out, the outer covering is flimsy cardboard which should have only been used for the standard boxset. The steelbooks should have got a metal case. Unlike the international release of the same set, the US release does not include the Blu Rays and of course Paramount does not participate in MoviesAnywhere so would recommend redeeming the code with iTunes since Vudu does not carry any extras for these movies.

Nice transfer to 4K UHD .You notice a bit more details than the Blu-ray and a few bloopers like red stains on clothing prior to fight scenes in the bazaar in Raiders .PQ overall looked natural and organic without major CG enhancements. Letter boxing in evidence though with head shots cropped at times. Liked the Dolby Atmos. John Williams symphonic orchestral flourishes came through nicely in Raiders . Packaging of the discs in individual steel cases for each movie was amazingly good. Overall, reccomended.

These films look fantastic in 4K. And the Steel Book cases are quite nice to look at! My only gripe would be the case they came in. Would like to have them in a cool outer case. Maybe like a small wooden crate like the one at the end of Raiders. Or anything other than the one that housed them. Ever single one that I find were crushed and/or dented. For a collectors edition, the outer case was just cheap.

Hands down one of the best action thrillers ever to grace the movie screens. It even created a new ratings system. The PG-13 rating was put in place because of Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom. These films with the exception of the fourth hold a special place in the thriller genre. The 4K transfers are commendable. The picture looks great and the sound is decent. It's seems hard to create the same sound on blu ray as it was in the theaters for these films, but it is still worth it. give it whirl.
