    Indy is back again

When I heard that Indiana Jones was back in theaters after aso long, I was so excited. I waited for the DVD release instead of going ot the theaters since I'm so busy all the time. It was on sale for $13.99 and I had a $3 coupon to knock down the price. It is great to see Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones cracking that whip again. Karen Allen is great too and so is Shia. What I did like about this one in particular is th euse of comedy. Ex. Indy hiding in a fridge or Marion adn Indy squabbling in the truck. There is alot of action so it will keep you on your seats. Overall, the graphics are terrific, but I thought that the storyline was a little too weak. There is comedy incoporated which is good and its worth watching again and again if you're an Indy fan or just like action and adventures. What ever happen to Sallah from Raiders or the Last Crusade? I would love to see another one of these films made again.

Having grown up with the Indy trilogy, I was incredibly excited when I heard about the fourth movie finally getting made. I will be honest and say I enjoy it more now having seen it three times. Indy's development and character traits have become more obvious and Lucas/Spielberg/Ford/Koepp did a wonderful job tying the movies, television series and other literature together to support this. I am also in strong favor of the science fiction approach to the plot as well. Indiana Jones has always been intended to be a supernaturalpursuit and aliens (outerspace or interdimensional) are perfect for this type of story. The material on the second disc is terrific, we get a 1+ hour making of the movie, several additional docs, 3 animatic action sequences with music that did not make it onto the CD soundtrack and the demo for the LEGO Indiana Jones for XBOX360, plus trailers, photos, etc. Sorry, just like the other dvds there are no deleted scenes. The picture and sound are excellent. I could watch this ten more times.

    Indy’s back

I was 1st in the door opening day for the first 3 Indy film. I was unable to do this for this film. The 1st film I waited to see since "Revenge of the Sith". The last days of filming were done in my home town. It is a very good film but is the least favorite of the 4 films to me. Why? Could the audience follow these searches or understand what the heck was going on? Some of the script was not good. How many of us got tried of Mutt & his old comments? La Beouf did NOTHING for me. Great to have Karen back. The script between Indy & Marion on their relationship needed work. I think Cate did a great job in her role. When a film starts out with the King that is good. Still trying to figure out why Elvis’s "Hound Dog" was not on the soundtrack CD. They already had to pay you know a lot of money for use of the song in the film. Jim Broadbent, an Oscar winner, used in a TINY PART to make up for the death of Denholm Elliott & the Marcus Brody role. SEAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE FILM. The DVD package. Man, nice but MISTAKES. 1. It is 1 of those you have to open 1 end to get the package/DVD’s out the other side. TOO MUCH WORK. 2. No chapter search list. 3. No bloopers or deleted scenes Good extras on it. GUESS GEORGE WILL PUT THAT ON THE NEXT RELEASE OF THE FILM TO DVD. YOU KNOW GEORGE, THAT WILL BE OUT IN A YEAR OR TOO. I am glad Indy is back despite the mistakes.

    Indies Back!!!!

Setting the record straight nothing beats the original Indy flicks but with Blu-Ray at your side helps make the movie at least tons better picture quality wise. There are some sequences in the movie that will blow your mind and push you right to the edge and then there are the corny parts of the movie as well. Overall a 3 but if you haven't invested in a good blu-ray player then this Christmas is the time to do it!!! Blu-Ray all the WAY!!!!

Good movie, but not the best in the series.

My wife and I got this movie, having never had the chance to see it in the theater. We have a PS3 so we bought the BluRay version. A neighbor of ours came over a few days after while we were watching it, and commented that the visuals of the movie were a lot better then his regular dvd of the movie. All in all, the movie is good, the graphics on Blu-ray are far more superb then those on the regular dvd EVEN through an upconverting DVD player. However Harrison Ford is getting up in age, and the movie shows it.

Older, smarter, a bit-slower, but still Indie

5 of 5 stars for the action-adventure movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Really nice to have Indiana Jones back after two decades. Older, smarter and a bit slower, but, still the Indy we all know and love. The movie opens with the Russians (oh, we're in the 1950's now) trying to break-into Area 51 to recover an artifact. They've brought Jones as a hostage and to find the artifact in the storage warehouse. From there, we're on a typical Indie quest. I can tell you that there is a Crystal Skull (or two) involved. We do see the return of Marian (Karen Allen) as Indie's lost girlfriend. There are other surprises in this movie. Expertly crafted and on par with all three previous Indie movies.Richly photographed, great sets, great action and fun chases. I have added this movie to my list of favorites and highly recommend it! This is a two bag-of-popcorn feature movie! Let's hope for more adventures in the future.

    The Next Indy Film!!

I like the movie overall. It held my attention and entertained me for about two hours and isn't that what we ask of the movie industry. No matter what the movie plot would have been, the fourth Indy flick could not have lived up to the hype that was almost 20 years in the making. On pure entertainment value, I would recommend this picture however I was disappointed in this film straying just a bit too far from the original series' hystorical and religous search of antiquities.

Despite the age of Mr. Ford the movie takes you to another level. There were as usual the predictable scenes and then there were the twist to the predictability. I kept guessing about what the end was going to be until the final scenes. Can't really comment on the special effects becuase I really don't view them until weeks later. Maybe I will review them and come back later. Really the lovers of Indiana Jones have no problem with the age and will find this another hit.

This is a really good movie if you like any of the other ones. Good Indiana Jones feel to it. But there could have been a few more of the classic one liners that were in the originals. Some of the story seemed a little far fetched though. It fit well with the 1950's area 51 story line, but it seemed like it was being stretched a little. I had to buy the Indiana Jones series when I bought this movie. I had to have the entire set.

This was an overall good movie and a good ending to the Indiana Jones saga. The acting on Fords part was excellent as well as Buff. Its hard to see how much older Ford is in this movie and he still makes it great. The plot was somewhat overdone but still very interesting. Doesen't really follow the same plot as the previous movies but still good. A great movie for anyone and their collections.

I love Indiana Jones movies. This one was pretty good, however, it wasn't quite the same as the older ones and I was a little bit let down when I did see it. However, it looks awesome on Blu-ray and I suggest adding it to your collection. The question now is, when are we gonna see the other ones on BR?

    Good addition to movie collection

I bought this mainly so I'd have all of the "Indiana Jones" movies in our collection. This one is certainly NOT my favorite, but it's ok. It's full of excitement and the usual "Indy" brand of stunts. Despite being 20+ years older since "Raiders", Harrison Ford still proves that he has the stuff to wear the fedora. I had trouble reconciling the silver-haired man on the screen with the dark and dashing hero of the earlier films. But, he proved his mettle once again. This film contains a lot more profanity than the previous ones; I guess that's why it earned the PG-13 rating. The scenes with the ants are extremely intense and rather frightening for children, so parents should exercise caution. The premise of this film, with the aliens, is rather far-fetched and is a deviation from the earlier films' search for religious artifacts. The film is a good addition to complete the "Indy" library of any collector but I still prefer the original "Raiders" and "Last Crusade" to this installment.

I really enjoyed seeing yet one more chapter in the Indiana Jones saga. It was great that Marion was brought back; she was my favorite of all of Indie's girlfriends. I think that the actors did a great job, particularly Harrison Ford and Karen Allen. However, the physical demands of the plot does stretch plausibility even for Indie fans! A fun movie for the library!

If it wasn't for a 50 word minimum i would have stopped with the review headline...However this cool and fun movie deserves a few more words. I was skeptical when i heard about this one, i have to be honest but when watching it i forgot a ll about Ford's age or the fact i am almost 30 and mot a kid anymore...It was great to see some of the other actors and actresses from previous installments of the Indy series. I don't know what Speilburg has in store for us next but hopefully he be writing another script to bless us all with another Indiana Jones movie! Watch this!

When I first saw this movie in theaters, I was thinking: "Really? Shai swinging with the monkeys? What the hell?" But when I got finished with it, I loved it. Yeah, It had it's flaws, like the whole fridge scene that everyone complains about, and the thing with Shai and Harrison's characters that they did (trying not to spoil) was a bit predicatable. However, this movie gets A LOT of unnecessary slack from people who claim to be fans. When you watch this one next to the other three, you will see that temple of doom is still indeed the worst one of the quadrilogy (soon to be five movies). In short, the acting and story are great, and it is better than the second movie, but not as good as 1 or 3. It is worth the buy and I highly recommend it!

i almost gave this one a 4/5. but i gave it a 5 because indys back and its a really fun movie. of course lucas is gonna do something way out there, hes been doin star wars for how long?anyway i liked it a lot. the cinametography is perfect. im picky about that and spielberg knows how to film. the style and lighting is great along with the cgi. the mushroom cloud was simply amazing. but i see why people say the story lacks just a little. towards the end it felt more like the x-files than indiana jones. but thats ok, it worked for me. i loved the jungle chase. i saw this at the midnight premiere and everyone clapped at the end, so i dont know why lots of people said they hated it. and i dont own it yet but i already know the special features will be good because all 2-disc spielberg movies have great features(war of the worlds).overall, not perfect but definetly my favorite sequel of the franchise. my order is: raiders crystal skull last crusade temple of doom

Worst of the Indy movies, but it's still Indy!!!

There are numerous problems with this movie. In my opinion, certain characters shouldn't get old. Rocky, Rambo, Martin Riggs... Indy is another one. Although, like Rocky, it was handled well enough that it didn't matter so much. The two biggest problems with this movie both stem from the skulls. Because of the skulls, this movie goes into sci-fi territory which is quite a difference from the more mystical/fantasy elements that Indy's known for. If you haven't seen the movie, I won't ruin it for you, but you'll know what I mean when you see it. The other is that the best of the Indy movies dealt with religious artifacts which are already very well known, regardless of what religion you are. This movie is focused on an item that, until the movie, I had never heard about. There are other minor issues that you'll notice, but in the end, it's still Indiana Jones. It's still fun, just not as fun as the past flicks.

I've been an Indiana Jones fan since I was a kid. My wife, father, father-in-law, and I went to see it in the theater. We all loved it. However, in recent months this movie has taken a lot of flack, including South Park ripping it apart. I thought this movie was terrific, (minus the refrigerator scene.) Just like all the other movies, this one was based off of truth. Alot of people don't know that. For me, it makes for a better movie. I can't figure out why some people hated this movie so much. Everyone I know has loved it. All I can think of, is that people are just being to critical or had too high of expectations. All I can tell you, is to watch the movie and make your own judgements. I thought it was great and I highly recommend it.

Being a big Indiana Jones fan I have to say that I really did enjoy the movie. I don't think it is the best of the 4 Indy films but it does stay true to the franchise by keeping that "Indiana Jones feel". Overall a great action adventure that is a really nice closing to the saga.

This provides a nice finale to the series and it's fun to see Indy in a new adventure. Kinda like visiting old friends. The 'threat' of communism does not really provide ample evil for the bad guys, and Ford is way too old to play this kind of action hero. Sorry Harrison.
