||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other family members recommended this product. It is not internet connected so nobody can "hack" into it, which is more common than i thought. It works very well and is easy to set up. Best buy price matched a bit lower price also which was awesome!

Great Quality and Features
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this for over a year and it has worked really well. We have a sound machine for our baby, and the camera has automatic noise reduction that cancels out that additional background noise. You can adjust camera zoom, screen brightness, noise, etc., from the handheld receiver. We do use a wide angle lense that screws onto the camera to get a full picture of the crib, would definitely recommend using this. The handheld receiver lasts for several hours on a full charge, and the battery can be replaced if you notice the charge not lasting (I have yet to replace the battery, but have a replacement for backup). I also prefer this going over radio frequency and not over a wireless connection - as a parent and observing security concerns with other cameras that run over Wi-Fi and/or that use an app via your mobile, I don't want to run the risk of potentially having a camera connected to the Internet that's watching my kids. Additionally, this camera has better picture quality than other cameras I've used, it's easy to install and move the camera (we often move the camera via the receiver, and there is zero noise). The only item I would change is the green light on the camera itself - naturally a child is intrigued by this and wants to look or talk to it; if you prefer zero lights on your camera, you can easily put a small piece of electrical tape to cover this. The other main reason I purchased this is you can add more cameras as needed; other manufacturers say you have the option to via their handheld receiver, only to find out you actually can't and would have to buy a whole new set that has "n" number of cameras in the package (found this out with the first camera we had, and these are not always cheap) - I want to be able to add cameras as needed that can link to the same receiver. I've had zero issues using this on a daily basis and would definitely recommend this to others for functionality, features, picture quality, ease of use, and something that is not required to connect via the Internet.

Not perfect but probably the best available.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this has been a great monitor for the past 6+ months we’ve had it. Zero connectivity issues it just always works. Picture quality is good, battery life on the display unit is great. The only real complaints I have about it is the lack of features compared to most of the competition, that said I still bought it knowing it didn’t have some of the fancier options. It’s a bit pricey for what it is but worth it for the peace of mind.

Upgrade worth the $$$
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently needed an upgrade from a 1080 vtech monitor and this was a price jump but definitely worth it, in my opinion! Love the video quality and the battery life. Range isnt a problem . The monitor and camera have a high quality feel. Will be purchaing the expansion camera soon. Ill include an update and review on that item.

Big improvement over DXR-8
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the DXR-8 (non-pro version) but the microphone stopped working after being moved several times. This version improves all of my pet peeves from the older model. Noise cancellation helps reduce the hum of the microphone when at your bedside (although it sometimes blocks out too much noise). The light on the side can be dimmed which is also a plus for a light sleeper. Range seems better, and although not necessary for me, the bigger screen is nice.

Infant Optics DXR-8 Pro Baby Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent baby monitor and very easy to set up. It operates on 2.4 GHz RF and doesn’t need a home WiFi network. That makes it more secure and virtually hack-proof. I literally took it out of the box and had it operating in two minutes. I love the fact that the camera pans and tilts, and the sound pickup is amazing. The picture quality is exceptional, including in the dark. The zoom feature is outstanding, and you can step through different zoom settings very easily. The noise cancelling option works well if you want to use it. This is a very high quality monitor, expandable to four cameras. For the features and quality you get, it’s well worth the money. The best thing is my wife loves it and can operate it herself - that’s the most important thing.

This is a fantastic product.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought his based on recommendations from other users especially considering most were suggested upgrading to this from the the original DXR-8. Ahhh isn't speak to the DXR-8, this particular one is fantastic. The HD picture is crispy clear and the sound and extremely clear. The ANR (active noise reduction) works phenomenally. I have a high speed fan in our room running constantly for white noise and air and it blocks the sound almost completely in the camera. It's a worthwhile gadget to keep and eye on your kid. I ended up getting an extended battery power bank for it attached it to the back. I haven't charged the device I nearly a week.

Everything You Need!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We upgraded to the DXR-8 PRO from the original DXR-8 and can I say wow! Many excellent features that make this stand apart. The larger screen, sharper details to the picture, and easier to maneuver menu. The monitor feels nice in your hand and seems very high in quality. The active noise reduction is a plus as well; not something found in the original version. We run white noise and it is great to filter it out. We also like the fact it is non-wifi and the signal is secure. The pan/tilt work well; similar to the original version. I also like the fact the battery can be replaced in the future if needed. Overall, very satisfied with the new monitor.

Great Physical-Monitor Product
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Happy all around. I bought this primarily because of the physical monitoring screen. Most other camera monitors rely on a phone to stream the camera signal, which makes using the phone otherwise difficult and eats lots of battery. The PTZ function is great and makes the camera usable at a significant distance. On a dresser across the room, for example. The software is clean and has not felt laggy. The noise cancellation feature is great for hampering white noise, such as an air filter. The range covers my medium sized house and then some. No complaints on battery life. Really happy with this product.

Very happy with this product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The infant optics baby monitors are the best out there. The video quality is great, especially the night vision. Everything is so clearly visible in the night even if its pitch black in our daughter's room. The large monitor screen makes it super easy to see. The sound quality is very clear and the active noise reduction works pretty well. I love the bar on the side that shows the sound level. I like that even if I have the sound off, I can tell at a glance if the baby is crying or not. Overall my wife and I are very satisfied with this product.

The Peace of Mind monitor.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have purchased x3 of these devices over the past 2 years, more than one child has joined our family. The only way I know to describe the device as is - Peace of Mind The video is 2024 video quality, HD, it picks up the most discrete sounds while providing amazing noise canceling features if you want to cut out the sealing fan and sound machines, both of which we have. I'm a fan!

Amazing!!!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is incredible! It does it all and the image quality is second to none. I love that you can use the arrows to move the camera around and zoom right in on your little one. No need for internet connection which gave us so much piece of mind. Two improvements would make this product even better… longer battery life on the monitor (it runs out fast!) and the ability to charge and unplug the camera itself. It needs to be plugged in at all times. Otherwise… you won’t be disappointed.
