I had a gift card that was burning a hole in my pocket, so I visited my local Best Buy. Much to my satisfaction, I located this on the Blu-Ray sale rack for $7.00. Since I had only ever seen this movie on TNT during their semi-annual showings, I was happy to finally have a copy to watch in all its "gloury". The film is an excellent tale that presents dark humor, drama, etc. all at once by an equally impressive cast who play their parts well. Brad Pitt is the quippy keystone holding the rest of the expansive cast together with the atypical character he plays compared to his other roles in the past.

The 4K UHD blu-ray disc is worth the upgrade over the standard blu-ray disc that was released in 2009. The HDR color grading makes a huge impact along with a sharper picture quality. While the standard blu-ray disc was an excellent release, the 4K disc makes an improvement that is worthy of upgrading. The 4K UHD disc comes with English SDH, French, and Spanish subtitles.

This movie makes no apologies, asks for no forgiveness, it's a no holds barred assault on the senses. Tarantino doesn't care if he offends, if he steps all over stereotypes and clichés, this is film making at it purest. It's great to see a film maker whose work clearly isn't interfeared with by the powers that be. Tarantino is a master of effortlessly cranking up immense tension and suddenly mixing it with laugh out loud moments; you're not sure if you should be looking away in disgust or rolling around laughing, either way it's a roller coaster and one not to be missed! It's not for everyone, certainly if you're not a fan of Tarantino's style, this may be a little hard to swallow, but never-the-less, it is a film which simply has to be seen. No self respecting film fan should miss this. And the performance of Christoph Waltz... Oscar don't you dare ignore him!!

I have always loved this movie. It is my favorite outing by the director. For anyone nervous about the way the conversion went I must say I was skeptical myself. However I hope you find the same joy in it as I did. I have a 3.1 (I think) soundbar and it passes the audio test for me as well. Also you can never go wrong with a steelbook case for any of your favorite movies.

Tarantino does movies that are always interesting. Many are very good and most are great. This is a great film. Like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, this is a version of history that is fictitious but a history you wish was real. That is what makes this story so rewarding. There are some movies that are worthy of having in your collection so you can watch it when the desire hits you. This is one such movie.

I love this movie - and at a sale price of $7.99 - I couldn't turn it down owning a Blu-Ray copy. The picture and sound are perfect... every clank of Bear Jew's bat hitting the wall(amongst other things) is perfect! The picture quality is what we've all come to expect from the Blu-ray format. Also, these extras are really nice - including the movie inside the movie! If you don't own I B on Blu-ray - treat yourself and get this! (Funny - the movie title itself throws an error for "bad language" when doing the review!)

Im a huge fab of Quentin Tarantino films and this movie just adds to my admiration of his film making. Great pacing and the dialogue spot on as usual. What a great cast. The 4K is really how its meant to be watched on a 75” TV and home theater system. Fun movie night experience.

I'm a history buff and very particular when it comes to the details. Normally, a movie like this I would give a negative review because it goes against all of that. But this movie is just too entertaining! The comedy mixed with action allows you to want the alternative history to occur. It adds to the suspense knowing that anything you read or saw about WW2 goes out the window because Quintin Tarantino gives you the version that should have happened! Especially if you really really really hate Hitler!

Tarantino has made many outstanding films and this is definitely in my top 5. The combination of historical accuracy along with the exciting intense storyline Tarantino continues to offer goes together perfectly to make a solid movie. Steelbook is great for collectors too.

This is by far my favorite Tarantino film. If you’re a Tarantino fan then this movie is simply a must-own. Hands down one of the best opening sequences of all time and a stellar performance by Christoph Waltz as the villian Hans Landa. Go watch!

I thought the audio & video quality were definite improvements over the bluray, even though I heard some people saying it was terri le. I did not agree after watching it. Classic Tarantino film. If you haven't yet seen this film, grab it on 4K when they have it at a great price!

Outstanding! I have always liked this movie with Brad Pitt and to have it now in glorious 4K HD and in new Steelbook format! For those that love this movie and are fans, I highly recommend! Blu-ray has all the special features from previous edition. This is the first time released on 4K officially and it looks and sounds brilliant.

A highly entertaining movie that is very re-watchable. This presentation has a believable plot with a few tidbits of reality, however fantasy abounds! The mixture of interesting characters and realistic settings, along with an extremely imaginative story is typical of Tarantino. That's what makes his movies so much FUN to watch. I love his characters that he so deliciously develops. Great caricature acting, great production, great direction; what more could you want?

One of my favorite Quentin Tarantino films. The opening with Christoph Waltz is so haunting that it will forever be burned in my brain. On top of that, I’ve read reviews that the 4K is not that good. But it looks pretty good to me when I view it on my LG CX 65 inch tv!

It took me awhile to get it! This is not a new movie and I’ve watched it a few times but last time I saw it finally made me see it in a different way. If your a fan of WWll epics it’s not, but look at it as alternative version of history and that it is an optional look of how history could have happened then it ok.

What can i say? A movie about killing Germans with absolute wreckless abandon, perilous intrigue, and scheeming of the most dangerous order will always be worth a looksie in my book. IB (2009) is no exception. Lets just say this movie, like its heroes, takes chances. Big chances. Its up to you, and me, and history to decide if the whole bloody mess was worth it. As for me, this homicidal roller coaster of vengance is worth every penny.

I love this film; it's one of my favorites from Tarantino. The 4K treatment looks amazing. However, since it was shot on film, don't expect it to look like Transformers, which is a good thing. I love the art and, finally, a digital copy!

Brutal, bloody and violent. This film may not be suitable for everyone. However, for cinema fans familiar with the work of Quentin Tarantino, this movie ranks as one of his best. It is visually stunning, exceptionally well directed and features outstanding acting (Christoph Waltz's performance is a stand out). If you enjoyed "Django Unchained", this movie is highly recommended.

Steelbook looks great, one of the nicer ones I own. Movie is amazing. Christoph Waltz was masterful. Sign me up for anything Tarantino. Wish it had Dolby Atmos, but everything else is everything I could've hoped for. Collectors should try and snag this steelbook instead of the regular version.

This movie has been a long time favorite of my family as well as my girlfriend's family. The fact that they made a 4K version is even better! Plus, all 4K DVDs are region free so I feel comfortable recommending it to everybody.
