Customers are saying

Customers admire the Home Theater Speaker Mounts (2-Pack) for its intended purpose, but some find the plastic material to be of low quality, leading to concerns about its sturdiness. Additionally, there are reservations regarding the weight capacity, with users suggesting it may not reliably support speakers at the maximum rated weight.

    Only if you have to!

These are exactly the same as the Sanus brand. The other reviews couldn't be more right. These mounts will serve their purpose but poorly. Terrible instructions but fairly easy to install if you are good with tools. Wall or ceiling mountable. They come with different screw sizes for a wide range of speakers. Cheap plastic parts feel flimsy and weak once installed and although rated for up to 8 lbs. I wouldn't recommend using them with a speaker over 6 lbs. There isn't a huge variety of wall mounts out there that are universal so these may be your only choice. I used them for the two rear speaker in my LG Surround Sound System.

    They work...I guess

Mounted Boston Accoustics surround speakers with these. For those speakers with a single point for mounting the set-up is ok, but leaves some stability to be desired. Lots of screws, hardware, etc...of which I used very few. There is no way to hide wires with these mounts. The wires will still be visiblie. Would recommend the product with some hesitation. Do your research and see if you can find something better. I will be keeping my eyes open for something else.

    Stinks!

Weak plastic pieces combined with steel hex-head screw stops means that most people will undoubtedly strip the threads of plastic and render the brackets useless. The directions were pretty bad...they did supply a TON of screws but not really clear on which ones are used where. This will not easily hold a 8lb. unit in a horizontal application. (-"might" be possible when held from ceiling)

    Decent Enough for the price

I was redeeming my gift certificate, and these looked plausible. They were easy to mount, given you have experience with a drill & tools. They look good in my basement, but are not made for heavy speakers. I use them for my Yahama 391BL small rear mount surround sound speakers. If adjusted properly the armatures will not stick out too much. I think the previous reviewer might have had speakers too large/heavy for unit, and adjustments straight out. I bent mine to hug wall. Decent for the price.

    Shoddy at best

Purchased these to mount small Samsung HTIB rear satellite speakers. Speaker attachment mount cannot be tightened and it feels like the speaker is going to fall off at any moment. Tilt arm needs to be tightened wtih allen wrench everytime you change it. Cheap plastic look. Really cannot use with these speakers. Instructions not terribly clear, but that's no surprise.

    Not too good

I purchased these for my Polk T-15 speakers, which weigh 7 pounds each. They mount on the speaker pretty easily but when mounted to the wall, the speaker sticks out about 5-6 inches. My wife laughed at how ridiculous they looked....she called the speakers "floaters". Also, the plastic material in these mounts sag, so the speaker hangs like they are on a string. I tried to twist the mounts to compensate and I got them looking pretty OK. Needless to say, I am not using these mounts....I returned them and got a set of Atlantic mounts that use a ball to adjust the angles. They are 1000 times nicer and don't stick out from the wall more than 2-3 inches....cheaper too!

    Worked well

Supports weight of speaker well and was easy to mount to wall. It took some work to get the speaker and the supplied bracket to line up before it could be attached to the bracket. Adjusting took some time because it required loosening and tightening a bolt for each angle of movement.

Good Speaker Mounts For Simple Situations

I'm pleased with the setup and use of these speaker mounts. I set up an Insignia 5.1 Home Theater system over the weekend and selected these at the same time of purchase. The base plate mounted with no problem with the supplied screws. By loosening up the bolt that locks the arms it was easy to adjust the 4"x7"x3" rear speakers at a varity of angles. The black finish went well with the black rear speakers and presented a professional looking appearance.

    Weak Mount

Purchased the mounts to mount small rear speakers for a 7.1 surround sound. Even though they are rated at 5 lbs. the mounts are flimsey.

Terrible product and even worse customer service

I purchased the Init speaker mounts for my Samsung home theater. While there is a chance that my lack of skills with tools may be to blame, but the instructions were laughable and extremely unhelpful. I gave up after 4 attempts to put together and then called Init customer service. What a waste of time. After about 10 minutes, the guy on the other end basically told me I was out of luck, he didn't know how to help. Now I am stuck with my rear speakers on the top of my couch.

Great, inexpensive way to wall mount your speakers

I purchased these for the rear surround speakers for my Sony home theater and I love them. I didn't have space to use stands for rear speakers in my living room so these were a great option to wall mount them and have the ability to position and angle them for the perfect placement. These mounts are a much better way to enjoy surround sound than just placing your speakers on the end tables of your couch. Now planes are soaring and bullets sound like they're really zooming past your head!
