    Sleek Sexy and Sturdy Stand

I purchased my Init® TV Stand , 52” Samsung LCD TV and 5:1 Samsung Home Theater system about 3 weeks ago and I can’t be happier! The stand really just ties my system all together; you can’t go wrong with this stand. It sleek and sturdy and the 3 in 1 capability are awesome. The wood, and glass combination give this stand a very modern a contemporary look while the metal frame give it the strength and sturdiness to hold up my 52 inch monster with ease. Hands down this is the stand of choice when you want versatility and although it is a bit pricey it is definitely worth every penny especially since you get a stand and a wall mount.

    Good Stand

-Received sale price of $200, though purchased for $300. Good stand for that price. -The cherry color matches our existing coffee/side tables well. -The instructions were not the best, but easily doable in less than one hour. -I love the integral TV mount. Now I do not have to worry about the TV ever tipping over. This also allows room for the center speaker on the top shelf below the TV. With all my components, it was hard to find a stand with enough room for everything. -The wire management is not very good. There is not enough room for a power strip and all the associated wires/cords. I wish it had a larger back panel as I am not a fan of the see through look. Though I think I can jerry-rig a better back panel for it to hid all the cables. -I also wish the glass was smoked/tinted. This would also help obscure some of the wires. -The bottom shelf bows a little in the front middle, even with just two items sitting on it. -Overall, very good, and I am happy with this. I looked around a lot, and this stand is the best fit for us.

This TV Stand is perfect for anyone in an apartment such as myself. My apartment complex's management will let you wall mount a TV for more money, kinda like a security deposit, so I decided to go with this stand for the same look and feel. This stand was great. I bought a Sony BRAVIA 46" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV and it weighs about 50 lbs, the stand has no problem holding the TV securely. It looks great, all my components fit on it Perfectly ! I even have space to spare. I put it together myself in about 2 hours, Instructions are simple to follow, and easy to understand. The only thing I would warn you about is the weight, it is a heavy piece of furniture, it's a two man lift, or in my case a borrowed hand truck from work. It is real heavy wood and glass. The glass is the bulk of the weight. But it is what makes it so sturdy, the price was great for the quality. I saw some cheaper products at other stores but they felt cheaper, and with the price of my TV I wanted the best I could get !

    Excellent Stand!

This is probably the best stand for the money, I was lucky and caught it on sale for $199. I love how it has the option to hang an LCD or Plasma from it without having to put holes in the wall. It also has plenty of room for electronics, I have my Reciever, my Computer (Which is bigger than my reciever), my cable box, my xbox 360, and my Wii all underneath with room to spare. The top shelf makes a great spot for the center channel speaker if you hang your TV off the back stand. I have a 42" LCD hanging on the back stand and have never had any problems of it moving. On top of its usefulness and sturdiness, it is very eye pleasing. All in all I am very happy with this stand and would recommend it to anyone.

Nice stand - if you don't have a lot to hide

This is one HEAVY-duty stand, so get help moving it. I had to unpack it downstairs and bring it up piece by piece. Instructions were easy to follow and it was easy to put together. I like the weight of this thing...makes me feel safe about mounting my TV to it. The TV mounts at a perfect height for optimal viewing angle. The only downside is the inability to hide all of the cables. I only have a few components, yet it's nearly impossible to hide all of the cables behind this stand. I know that a lot of people are picky about this, so

    Nice Stand

I think this is a well designed and good looking stand. I'm really only writing this after seeing the 1-star review provided by another customer. My experience was quite different, so i thought i should comment. I bought this stand, transported it home in a little 2-door car (very tight fit) and assembled it without any issues. Its quite sturdy which was a relief as i hate wobbly furniture. The first thing you notice when trying to pick up the box is the weight. At about 130 lbs it is difficult to handle alone (but i did), so if you can bribe a friend into helping i would. The construction is pretty heavy gauge square steel tubing and wood, the glass shelves are also thick and heavy. It comes with a little hex wrench and a little open end wrench, but you will need a phillips screwdriver. It comes with all the hardware to assemble it, plus additional hardware to mount the included LCD flat-panel mount directly on the wall (if you choose to). It also has hardware to attach the LCD to LCD mounting bracket (both large and small, short and long screws). The LCD mount in nice quality, and looks like it could handle a much larger TV than my 40" model. The little metal pieces provided to lock the TV and mount to the stand is kinda flimsy, but the weight of the TV would make it very unlikely that it would ever come off. The only problem i had was with the finish on the front wood piece. It had minor flaws on both corners, a small dent on one side and slightly rough finish on the other. After looking it over i didn't think it would be noticeable enough to merit bringing it back. Other notes: The shelves are in a fixed position, so if you have any components that are particularly tall, you might want to measure them. The system to hide cables from LCD to shelves works nicely.

    We Love this Stand

We are very pleased with this TV stand! Great quality and great price. It was very easy to assemble with two people (the shelves are heavy). There were no damaged or missing parts, and everything was well labeled for easy identification, including the hardware. We were also impressed with the versatility of this piece. We used the mount attached to the stand for our 46" LCD and it's perfect - very strong and easy to adjust. You can also attach the mount to the wall if you choose, or just put the TV on it's stand on the top shelf. And it looks great in our living room! With a lot of glass and a little wood on the front, it would fit well in just about any room. This is definitely the best piece of build-it-yourself furniture we have every bought!

I am also writing this because of the person that gave it a one because he happen to get two broken ones.. ( things happen guy.. ) mine was fine.. did take about 60 to 90 minutes to set up.. but very easy to follow instructions with pictures.. again.. great stand at a fair price. I also saved $100.00 because it went on sale a MONTH after I bought it.. no questions asked.. Best Buy gave me the money back to me.. which I thought was really nice of them.. again after owning it for over a month..!!! BOTTOM LINE: great stand.. esp. at $250.00

Read all the previous reviews and agree with almost all the feedback. I looked everywhere for a tv stand to meet my needs and funny enough came back to the first one I saw. Putting it together does take a little time, but it is well worth it. I have a HD cable box and a blue ray on the middle shelf and my receiver and Wii on the bottom. The bottom shelf does sag just a bit but my reciever is very heavy and it's barely noticeable. I have my front channel and center channel speakers on the top shelf and my 46" LCD on the mount. Some of the wires do show, but some twist ties kept it minimal. I absolutely recommend this piece, functional and great looking.

This is a very sturdy stand that looks great. Assembles very fast. To hide the unsightly wires wall plugs and exposed power strips behind the stand, I Purchased a Wainscot MDF panel at Lowes, with a Coffee Bean Leather color which is a perfect match for the stand. Cut 2 panels 21 inches by 17 3/8 inches paint the edges black notch the two outside bottom corners and attache to the top and bottom metal rails with velcro strips. The panels look like they came from the factory to match the stand. Cost was under $14 for everything.

I read all reviews prior to purchase (online on sale). The product pickup process at BestBuy was super - first time used. Box was heavy as stated - best to open the carton in the vehicle and remove piece by piece - unless you have a burly helper. It was packaged beautifully. Made in China, again very surprised with the excellent packing. Instructions were pretty good - all pictorial, very small print identifying part numbers from blister pack. Only need a phillips screwdriver in addition to the hex wrench supplied. I cannot believe the quality of the tubular steel - very thick and paintcoated beautifully. The glass is of fine quality and very thick. BTW - the stain color of the wood is depicted accurately in the first, main photo. The others (3 I think) with the TV showing - this shows a more "oak" finish. It is actually a cherrylike finish as a lot of Oriental furniture. The wood appears to be soft, would nick easily, and show dust readily. Matter of fact, although the front wood piece was wrapped in plastic, it did have a few small nicks on the lower front side. Not bad enough to complain. The finish in some areas is a bit rough. If the instructions are followed correctly it's quite easy - no swearing required. Everything aligns perfectly, and again very sturdy. I'm planning to put on a Sony LCD 52" - waiting for a sale. I'm using the supplied backboard to mount above the table. I think it looks very neat in the pictures. This was one key feature I was looking for when researching TV stands. This product would be perfect if the shade was a bit lighter - oak-like, and the wood of better quality. Nit-picking.... Bottom line - very good value. Nice looking and superb quality. I'm a single guy and expect to need to dust this stand every week or so (darnit). Worth it.

Great TV stand! A lot of people said installation instructions were hard to follow, but it only took me about 50 minutes to put together. Very Sturdy, I put on my 46' Samsung up with no problem. Glass shevles are equally as sturdy. For the money, it would be hard to find something to beat it. You will have to hide some wires and or tie them together. Only suggestion is to bring a friend to help you pick it up and move it (its heavy)!

I purchased this product and had it delivered yesterday and it is a beautiful piece of furniture. It is so far beyond the black laquer, glass and steel designs that seem to be all you can find when looking for a simple TV stand. It fits in perfectly in a casual or contemporary setting. A few small drawbacks. 1) It is extremely heavy when delivered so you might need assistance. 2) Alot of bolts and screws so if you have any arthtritis or dexterity issues again, might require some help. 3) The tools provided were for childsize hands. Will go alot faster and easier if you have a adult sized Allen(sp) wrench. 4) Lastly, if the manufacturer reads these reviews I was dissapointed on the location of the punchouts for wires for AV equipment. They are too high above the shelf location which makes them easily viewable from behind the equipment on the shelves. They need to be placed much closer to the shelves so the wires are more directly behind and therefore hidden by DVR, DVD or blue-ray equipment.

Bought this stand with my 50 inch plasma and it looks beatiful. The stand is heavy duty. Easy instruction to put together. it took about 1 hour to due. This stand beats having to drill holes in the wall for the mount. Would recommend to anyone. Well worth the money you wont be sorry.

This stand is heavy as expected.Glass is very thick. This stand looks even better when filled with equipment.cable management is tricky at worst but is still no problem.I have been looking at stands for a month or so.Saw this one and many others, but found myself back at this one.Believe me the picture does not look as good as it does when its at home full of equipment. It looks great, and you can still see my hardwood floors.

    Great TV Stand

This stand is heavy. As others have said, get help moving it into the house. The weight is a good thing, it isn't going anywhere when you hang your $1700+ HDTV on it. Others have stated it is hard to hide cabling, and out of the box, it is. Get some adhesive backed Velcro from Home Depot. I Velcro mounted a power strip on the rear of the upright wood panels, then added more strips of Velcro all along the sides and middle from the bottom to the top. Then I cut some small strips of the opposite Velcro type to attach various cables at various points, looping them up and down the back to spread them out. Result was a perfect installation of the HDTV, BluRay player, Cable DVR, Bose LifeStyle, and DVD/VCR (yeah, VCR). Cable management made easy! NIce unit, fits in quite well to my wife's living room decor, no problems from her with it. In fact, my mother-in-law is considering buying one of these stands and the LN46A750!

    Absolutely stunning!

Beautiful, amazing, sturdy, and an easy setup... What else can I say about this setup? People were saying that it was a 2+ person job, I did it alone and it took me about an hour (including clean up of the packaging). I went with the TV in air on the provided back panel mount with a 42" Sharp AQUOS. Setup of the TV stand was a breeze due to great instructions (aside from step 8 which was sorta confusing, but with common sense you make it work), then you setup the back panel, mount, and prepare the rear of your TV... As long as you follow the instructions and use your noggin, you are completely ready to go for this. I recommend this mount to anyone who is in the market for a sturdy mount, a beautiful piece of home theater furniture, and someone who likes to put their items in clear view of guests (whom will be in awe over your setup). 10/10 on this one, for sure.

Can't be beat for the money and versatility

Try and find a more versatile combo and add up the prices of individual components: stand, wall bracket and upright support (when not wall mounting but you want the TV off the top shelf). Why wall mount and have to patch holes when changing something when you can use the upright support feature and hide all the wires at the same time? Tempered glass is heavy, remember it, but that is also why it is so strong. Use two people or a hand truck to move the box. Teflon Sliders work perfect to move the assembled stand/components around. Get them if you don't have them. Makes cleaning behind/under the assembled unit a snap.

We purchased a 50 inch panny plasma which was delivered 3 days early, thus in my haste to find a stand we decided on this model predicated on the reviews! All I can say is thanks, the stand is wonderful the Cherry Oak wood matches our hardwood floor and installation was easy! I do recommend a allen bit that fits in a screwdriver or cordless drill to speed up the installation process. Overall, very satisfied with the construction and workmanship. One concern is the bottom glass is elevated approximately 2 inches from the floor and the dust bunnies have a tendency to gather under the stand. Our Dyson vaccuum attatchment will not fit between the floor and the bottom glass however, the hand Swifter duster does.
