As a lifelong U2 fan, collecting anything and everything they release, the question was not whether I would buy a copy of this concert or not. The only debate was whether to buy this or the "Super Deluxe" edition/set, which for $100 more would land me non-digital media/paraphernalia (not what I mean when I say I buy "anything and everything they release" [I'm about their music. Not so much about buttons and postcards]), so I opted for this. I give it 4 stars not because it's inherently lacking, as much as it is simply a qualitative assessment of the show as it stands up against their other performances (other commercially available live shows). It's very good, but not their best. That's just my opinion and preference. 5 star shows include Sydney, Slane Castle, and Boston, for example. This review probably only resonates with other lifelong fans, so I'm sorry for those that this might be less relevant. All-in-all: Great show! Buy it.

As always U2 puts on a great show for the audience and this recording captures them at their best-on tour.

I love this concert, it was shot in a way that was very creative.

The unique stage was supposed to make this a concert about new technology, similar to 'The Claw' on the last tour, and it is impressive. Watching the band interact with the screen was pretty trippy. The camera work was excellent and the sound immersive. But events conspired to make this the most political and emotional U2 concert in decades. Giving the stage over to another band at the end for two songs - The Eagles of Death Metal, whom I had never heard before and who didn't seem particularly death metal either but were enjoyable - took a lot of stones. they were the band whose concert had been bombed by terrorist just months before. Some nice bonus features on this disc, including videos and alternate versions of songs from other nights with Hats off to U2 for a concert that put tears in my eyes. Bravo!

If you're like me, U2 is one of your favorite bands! This Blu-ray disc definitely delivers with the hi-def look and particularly the sound of the band. Each instrument is very well audible throughout each song. Guitar bass drums and of course Bono's voice. I have only watched this disk on a 32-inch 720 TV using a Polk audio system from about 8 years ago. And it still looks and sounds, yes, that's good! If you are a fan of the 360 Tour from 2009, you're going to love the live in Paris disc. Actually, the innocence and experience tour is that much better!

The highly professional yet dreamy production works on many levels, elevates the music and pushes the boundaries of the now megapixel band back to their underground roots. The innovations and designs reveal a clever video subtext for anyone making a connection between audience and band; the seeds of love over hate. U2 offers to fill in the gaps of their history while making it inside and outside a seemingly out of control world with a very personal collection of songs. At a time when Paris hearts and minds were tested by an attack, as well as fears of another attack, we can now listen in as the love comes to town for an inspired visit worth remembering.

As a long time U2 fan, I certainly enjoyed this concert video. U2 live is always a great experience! A video is not quite the same as being there, but this one works very well if you couldn't be. I would have scored 4.5; because the spectacle of the concert staging was not quite up to par with some priors. However, there is one major part of the staging for this concert that has one thinking, "How are they doing that!" No spoiler-alert, but a hint,,,,the audience is cut in half, yet no misses a thing!

I've been a U2 fan since I first heard, "New Year's Day" playing on NYC's WNEW radio. I've seen them live and have all of their concert films. "Live in Paris" is by far their best. Set against the almost impossible feat of playing after a tragedy, U2 not only rose to the occasion but reset the bar for concert experiences. From the set to the set list, it was a night to remember. I can honestly say that, between the airings on HBO and this Bluray, I must have watched this show 25 times.

U2 manage to make an arena show an intimate experience. I saw this tour live in NY and loved watching this Paris performance. Especially touching is their poignant nod to the terrorist attack at the Eagles of Death Metal show in Paris. U2 honored the memory by having the Eagles of Death Metal close their recorded performance. Super pleased that the Blu Ray is loaded with tons of extras for the ultimate fan :)

I recommend all u2 shows on home videos for fans. This show is unique because of its tributes to paris and eagles of death metal performance. I wouldve liked to have seen more extra performances from other shows like sweetest thing and angel of harlem. but this is still a worthy purchase which documents the tour quite well with all the different stuff going on with the stage visuals

Paris, the City of Blinding Lights. The band honored its commitment to come back at a later time, after the city had just fallen victim to a senseless terrorist attack. The vibe of this show is awesome, and with the right AV components, you can kick it up to the next level... just short of having been there. I am glad I did not watch the HBO premiere, and waited to bring this release home.

This was going to be a difficult show to translate to Video vs, the live performance. They did a very good job. Top notch camera work. I have read some review complaints about the AV quality and too many camera cuts. This has great AV and the camera cuts are not like a typical convert release with just the right amount of cuts. Great job and one of the best of the many U2 concert releases.

U2 is just the best group in Rock, and this live concert in Paris just sums all the amazing music they have created during all this decades of rock. If you follow close every song in the concert, you will be able to feel the history behind it, which makes it more amazing. If you like good music, great sound and beautifull images, just go an get this Blu-ray.

I am a casual U2 fan these days. I heard this was coming out and just bought it without any knowledge of it. I read a couple of things online that seemed promising, that's all. Let me say ... This was an awesome show. The set list, the lights and design, and the band was playing at a high level. Two words to sum it up: buy it!

I can't say enough great things about this U2 Blu-ray. If you saw the special on HBO this is far better. This concert took place after the shootings in Paris in November. The band and the crowd are really into it and their is a ton of energy and a real connection between everyone involved. Highly Recommended!!!!!

I watched this when it originally aired on HBO and thought it was a terrific show, but the audio quality from the Comcast HD feed (X1) sounded horribly truncated and compressed. I bought the Bluray hoping for sound to match the pictures. I was not disappointed. A must have for U2 fans...

This is a great concert. Shot digitally and in HD so the bluray quality is amazing. Sounds is also amazing. Great set list from the band combining classic hits as well as new songs from their recent album. This bluray reminds you that U2 is still one of the best bands in the world.

My nephews and I saw the 3D U2 concert at the Rock and Roll HOF a week ago and I decided they would enjoy this video. It is the same concert that was shown on HBO and that it a good thing. The sound is outstanding and as always U2 puts on a great show. Highly recommended.

No band has production like U2. Having seen this tour in person in the states, it’s awesome to have a keepsake of one of the performances on Dvd. Sound and visuals are off the charts. Any music fan should make this part of their live concert dvd collection

I did not go to this concert but it was similar to the one I did attend at MSG in NYC. U2 always puts on a good show and this one was particularly inspiring as it came to replace the one cancelled by the Paris terrorist attack. Rock 'n roll not only rebels but inspires !
