Inside Out is a movie that I know I can watch over and over again without getting bored of it. Therefore, when I saw that Best Buy released a steelbook of the movie, I knew I had to get it. Like the other wave of Pixar steelbook movies that came out at the same time, this steelbook has a debossed title as well as a very simple and different art style for the cover. 10/10!

A great movie for kids and adults! I was surprised how interesting and intreguing this movie is! A real thinker!

Parents and kids can benefit so much from increased social/emotional intelligence and this movie is a wonderful way to introduce people to the concept and show them that their emotions have a purpose (even anger and sadness). I have purchased several copies of this movie and share it with everyone I know.

It wasn’t until we pulled out a regular DVD to play in my parents’ non-blue Ray player, that I realized both versions were there. I got the blue ray for my personal use, but glad there was also a regular version. The package deal of both discs (as well as a bonus features disc) was nice.

This would have to be one of my favorite 4K disc releases from Pixar. They did a wonderful job with the transfer of this movie and it has great special features. I highly recommend adding this one to your home theater movie collection. A beautiful animation 4K release!

This movie really blew me away. Who would think an explanation of what goes on in your brain could be so well done. The overall message about the various emotions was so unexpected but so great. The 4K looks and sounds amazing and the steel book as great art.

Beautiful and surprisingly Heartbreaking. Our childhood is one of the most forgotten memories we have and this movie proves that nothing goes away and everything we experience stays with us and shapes our future. So so good.

I didn't own any of the disc before. Best 4k transfer and great use of HDR. Though I wish Disney would use dolby vison instead. Great sound and story! Delivery is prompt and arrived on my doorstep a day early! Thanks Bestbuy!

Im glad they finally decided to release a steelbook of this movie, this movie is great sans the steelbook but I love collecting anything disney the movie its self has very emotional moments but also has the disney magic!

What a way for them to dive into the mind of us all and show that we all have emotions and how it seems to work within all of us. Great laugh and cry but heartfelt all the way through.

I love this movie and its make happy when I see a good story that touches my heart. I recommend this movie to anyone that want to get started in the awesome Disney Cinema Universe.

Very good portrayal of the emotions that we all deal with and how they all serve a vital function but ultimately must work in harmony. But this is done in a very low key and entertaining way..

Deep and heartfelt, this is one of Pixar’s more better films they’ve made. The story is just fantastic. Pixar is so good making movies for adults that are kid friendly.

This is a wonderful film and I am so excited to own on 4K Blu-ray. The 4K Blu-ray is wonderful, with excellent picture quality and great sound. Highly recommended!

The image quality is stunning and it fully enhances the story. I found myself lost in the visuals so much that, if there are any imperfections, I missed them.

This movie is adorable for the whole family. Teaches kids about emotions and how to deal. Funny, sad and extremely entertaining. Highly recommend it!

Inside Out is probably the biggest gamble that Pixar ever made trying to tell an animated story. It's more geared to adults than any other film they have ever made. It's complicated, with a lot of very complex metaphors. It attempts to tell a story far more related to the real world than any they have ever told as far as I can tell. There's no witches, magic, space-rangers, talking inanimate objects, or the like. And yet... I knew from the trailers and reading a book about Pixar that this film was going to be different from the other ones that Pixar has released. I knew it was a gamble. But it also struck me as being more intelligent, more thoughtful, and perhaps more from the heart and soul than some of their other films (and that takes some doing). I was not wrong and I am glad I ventured out to a theater to see this film. It's an ambitious undertaking to try to tell a story about the emotions in control of a person's mind, and even moreso when you dive into the other parts of their brain like the subconscious, dreams, and memories. On the surface this is a story of creatures trying to do their job who run into problems (two of the emotions get lost and have to find their way back), and the little girl who's life is undergoing changes that make her inability to express said emotions somewhat heart-breaking. But there is so much more going on here. You can looks at this film and think that the people in it are being pushed around by the emotions in their head. You can see it as people being at the mercy of these emotions and other forces. Or...you can look deeper and see the introverted message of this film. That everything that happens inside of this young girl represents her reactions to events in her life. Have you ever felt that your dreams were really bizarre?

Goes really great with the rest of the pixar steelbooks that were just released. Matches the artwork for the new Toy Story 4k steelbooks. Very nice.

Quirky, fun, but still touching, Inside Out takes an idea that has been done before (remember Herman's Head? Anyone? Probably not) but absolutely makes it their own. The character designs are especially striking for the emotions; luminous and almost ethereal. A style that would be taken even further in Soul. The previous blu-ray looked great, and the 4K release is even better. Gorgeous video quality. Sound is also improved, but it won;t blow you away like some other more action-oriented movies. Like most Disney/Marvel/Pixar 4K releases, you'll likely need to turn the volume up a bit. For whatever reason, the sound is typically authored at a quieter baseline. You could just watch this on Disney+ (we love the streamer here), but the picture quality will be better on disc. Disney+ quality is great, but it can't beat the quality of a 4K disc. If you like extras, you'll find many, many more of them on the included blu-ray disc than on Disney+. This set also comes with a digital code so you'll still have the convenience of being able to watch digitally when you want.
