With better lighting (and readers), it's easier to read. (Backlighting would be nice, but not necessary.) The LED lighting for the time is extra bright. It would be nice if that could be adjusted so it isn't so bright at night. The power is good and although it only beeps once at the end, it does beep twice if you don't take your food out right away. I do like being able to push the start button for an automatic 30 second timer and adding another 30 seconds for each additional push of the start button... same with the beverage button. A 10.5" dinner plate easily fits inside. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.

In 2025, a microwave should not be expensive and complicated and this one so far has been great. I love the handle release button since it does not make the microwave slide across the counter when trying to open it. I also like the power at 1000W output! The controls are simple enough (easier than many others I would argue) and the quality feels like many other microwaves including ones 4 times the price.

I put in cold food, press some buttons, and get hot food out. The hot food is evenly heated, and is ready when whatever instructions on the food packaging say the food should be ready. 1.1 cubic feet is a very decent size, so I can turn a generous helping of cold food into hot food. Finally, it has excelled at its job of being a microwave for the five months I've had it, without making any weird un-microwave-like noises.

Only problem is that the plate doesn't seat properly. The one piece assembly for the plate is a great idea but the tabs on the bottom of the plate don't reach the notches on the assembly. Plate does turn but makes a small rubbing noise. Looking all over for solutions but came up with no answers.

A coworker recommended an Insignia as they'd never had any issues with theirs at all, and so far I'm impressed. This microwave is large enough to accommodate our largest dinner plates, but small enough that it does not take up an excessive amount of countertop space. On examining the large brand name microwaves, this proved the right size, very good outward quality, and versatility to meet all of our needs. You can use as a main microwave or just as a supplement to a larger one. Many options, nice appearance, and it works really well. Not too small, not too big - just right. And with Best Buy Membershio you get 2 year warranty at no extra cost.
