Awesome comptablity and no new for driver discs! Only 1 tiny complaint it is very very short. So you will most likely need a serial cable to extend this which is cheap.

The Serial to USB cable adapter was exactly what i needed and i had no issues with it.

Our department was having trouble getting this cable. Many were counterfeit (being labeled as Prolific, but not infact Prolific). We went with the Best Buy name brand cord as a safe option, and have not been disappointed

Solid and easy to set up item.It does what it says it will do which is plug in two monitors with a USB plug to the PC.

Works great with Win7 pro 64 bit. Not all adapters do well in win7/8 this did the job I needed and automatically loaded drivers from win 7

It's hard to find this type of the cable these days. Although this is a short one, but I still can use it for connecting the computers.

This Serial Adapter Cable allows you to make a USB Connection to A Lap Top Computer. With it, I was able to Access my Cisco Switches Configuration Console, and correctly Setup my Switch. This Cable works great, and I couldn't get by without it.

I bought it to connect scientific equipment to computer via virtual com port. Adapter based on pl2303 ic that makes it compatible with windows an linux machines. Personally I used it on both systems. Good price-quallity ratio.

Bought one at the last minute to troubleshoot a Cisco equipment issue and it worked like a charm. Insignia doesn't have the latest drivers, but you can search "PL2303 RS232 Driver" to hopefully find it on Prolific's site.
