I bought this tablet for my 8 year old son for gaming + basic learning programs. The tablet was slow to boot up + froze up in the middle of the game after the 1st game was downloaded (the game also played very slow). After downloading 2 more games, the tablet started having problems recharging. Finally, after 6 days, it stopped recharging completely and I had to return it to the store. Also, it advertised to have 32GB but only showed 25-26 GB when I initially set the tablet up which was dissappointing.

This tablet has a tendency to lag when typing surfing the web and well just about any app you open. On the plus side it has a nice display and plenty of room for all your apps. You just have to be patient with this tablet.

While this is a budget tablet, its performance is well worth its price. The fact that it runs on Android 7 (Nougat) gives it an advantage over many other tablets as Nougat allows you to format your SD card as internal so you don't have the hassle of moving apps between the internal and external when your phone storage runs low.

Bought 2 of these for our kids. They seem to like them but the battery dies quickly and takes a long time to recharge. Not bad for the price compared to a Samsung tablets. I would not use one for work though.

Still doesn't compare to the ease of the ipad. Have to be a little patient at the beginning for it to start up. Can't beat the price and definitely worth the money.

The Insignia was purchased to replace a cheap Brand X from a discount store. I use it primarily for travel and it fits that role perfectly, with adequate storage for airline, airport and ancillary travel apps. The display is miles ahead of the tablet it replaced and the sound is not the greatest, but certainly adequate. I purchased mine on sale for well under $100 and at that price any damage or loss would not be the end of the world. All in all I couldn't be happier.

Nice pic display and wonderful sound. Just as nice of a tablet than the big name brand 10 inch tablets. Excellent price.

Bought this 10" tablet at a sale price because I already have an 8" Android tablet. It works OK and has 32GB of memory which I wanted and needed. So far, my biggest issue is that the system upgrade does not work....it keeps telling me that it cannot connect to whatever server, but all other apps work just fine, even Google Play Updates. Apps installed and run fine. It seems responsive enough for my needs.

Bought this for the bigger screen, it's an OK tablet, slow on start up, not as quality a picture as my Samsung, but all in all it does everything it should do.

I bought this tablet for my dad's 75th birthday. This is his first device with any kind of operating system. up until now he has only used a flip phone. He has always said a phone is a phone period. He now has a facebook account and loves youtube. He has officially joined the information age lol. He had an issue where the tablet would not charge. He took it back to Best Buy and they replaced it immediately. He has really enjoyed it and BestBuy stands behind the product.

I purchased this tablet just to play games that my phone was too small for. For the price tag you can't complain! It's a bit slower than I expected but after some tweaking is working out quite well for me.

It is not as fast as high price tablets but for the price it is a good value. Has not failed in a month of use.

...then this is the tablet for you!! My son primarily uses this tablet. I was unaware until recently of the problems he has had as I'm witness now of the poor performance of it. And because I know of these issues, he is constantly pointing them out complaining when it occurs. This tablet has become so stressful to me (and I'm sure he gets stressed himself)where I am able tomorrow to return it to Best Buy. I would like to see if we did get a "bad egg" or they're all designed to this way, or just accept store credit. 1. He gets so frustrated when playing simple online games or watch youtube videos because there is constant lag. I've tried web-browsing and it certainly is slow to load pages in full, even after clearing out history, cookies, cache, etc. But how frustrating to try and watch a short 5 minute video that takes 15 minutes because of lag? 2. Several times the tablet's screen goes black and the only way to override the blackout is to hold the power button for 10+ seconds and the unit will turn off, where at this point you need to power it back up. 3. While browsing or trying to watch a video, the system will start flashing the Insignia name and restart itself. 4. The tablet gets really hot while charging or just using it. And it isn't being used for very long..like 10-15 minutes and you don't want it to rest against your skin, let alone your child's sensitive skin. He has said "ouch" out loud. Will this tablet's battery pull a Samsung and catch fire one of these days? It is very disappointing for an electronic store as "big and popular" as Best Buy, that their store brand "Insignia" isn't complaint free within the first year. We've owned this tablet for a month and shouldn't have issues so soon and so stressful that I have to vent in a review about it's poor performance and hazardous overheating.

I originally bought this tablet a couple of years ago with the protection plan. Through manufacture defects/issues I've exchanged this tablet 3times. The current one (tablet #4) is having the same problems. I say great for offline games as when connected to the internet the response time is very slow to glacier-like speed and often won't connect at all. Frequently restarts or shuts off while using it, has "critical thermal event" and shuts itself off. It is often difficult to turn on at all. Repeatedly pressing the on/off button combined with patience works. Currently saving my money so when combined with my refund under the protection plan I can purchase a better quality tablet.

I bought this for my 13 year old son. He loves it. Has everything he wants, easy to use, right size, right price.

Highly disappointed in this product. Purchased as a mother's day gift and had wanted a tablet for some time, so was ecstatic with the purchase. Initially I was impressed with the resolution of the screen and the ease of setting up the tablet, along with downloading apps, however that ended about a week after use. The screen went blank and the insignia logo was flashing. Returned product to store and exchanged for a new one, while speaking with Best Buy personnel it was stated that this was on the low side of quality, which was not told to me when I made the initial purchase. I did go ahead and get a 2nd one as perhaps it was a fluke. When I returned home, I read the reviews and this unit had 4+ stars at the time, so when the 2nd unit failed within 3 days, I gave up and returned my purchase for a full refund.

Overall,tablet is a good buy for the money. However, when I usually try to use internet services, tablet freezes or kicks me out. I am not sure, it is the tablet or interet connection is the problem.

Very good tablet for the price. Has plenty of memory. Easy to use. Touchscreen is very good. Easy setup too.

i got this tablet for myself, just for games and such. my kids loved it for the size. unfortunately my child cracked the screen so i can longer use it.
