Filled a gap at a decent price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Samsung tablet crashed and I needed something quick on a non-existent budget. This tablet filled my immediate need, however, I will be giving it to my 10 yr old as soon as I can . It consistently reboots, takes too long to connect to wifi that it should recognize, and I had to take it back to factory settings just 6 weeks after purchasing it; I have not downloaded more than a few apps yet. Frustrating!

It works reasonably well for its cost.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tablet works reasonably well for its cost. It does seem to have less Wi-Fi sensitivity than My Samsung Galaxy tablet. It will occasionally lose connection even though the Wi-Fi signal is fairly strong. There are times when it is very reluctant to start up, requiring multiple presses of the power button. It does not have a Gallery folder for photos. There are times when you really have to search to find any pictures taken by the on board camera. They are buried in a DCIM file about three levels deep. It does not have its own internet program. It requires Chrome. Given that it was one fourth of the cost of my Galaxy tablet, it does perform fairly well. I will say it comes with a lot less bloatware than my Samsung Galaxy, which is a good thing, as some of that useless bloatware can be annoying. But my wife wanted a basic tablet, and the Insignia tablet is serving her purpose. The screen brightness and resolution is decent. Touch screen works well. The Wi-Fi chip could use a boost, but you get a lot of tablet for $80. It is hard to complain for that price.

Good Price, but slow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a decent tablet... I bought for internet browsing, videos, etc. That tablet works, it has nice picture, and for it's size, the price can't be beat. But, it is slow... takes forever to load pages when browsing online. It is useless if your outside on a sunny day, with the brightness turned all the way up, it still can't be seen comfortably. But for the price it's ok.

OK tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tablet mainly for reading Kindle books and my jigsaw puzzle addiction LOL. It works fine for those things, but is quite slow when on the internet. I'm glad I didn't pay more--it's not too speedy. My phone is quicker. Good size screen though, so when I do use it for internet it's nice. Has all the Google apps, which I haven't figured out yet...

Just what was needed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a tablet under $100 that I could use for simple tasks like email, spreadsheets, web browsing instead of carrying a heavy 15in laptop around everyday. This was just what I needed! Not super fast yet does everything I need to do. Simple to use and very lightweight.

Wow! Just what my 7 yr old needed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Size, Memory, Touch, Apps, Price! Salesperson tried to steer to another brand; however, the Insignia had too much to ignore! Glad, I stuck to my logical, economical decision and without compromise: My son loves this tablet!

Okay tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my mother, it functions fine for her games. I think it could be better but for the price, one can't really complain. If you want a good tablet, you might want to look elsewhere but this does the job.

Nice tablet for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tablet for travelling. It was lightweight and easy to use but the battery life was too short for my needs, especially when watching videos. I recommend this for anyone that wants to use it for lighter use but make sure you have a charging adapter handy.

The jury is still out
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a first time buyer of a notebook and not experienced with Android OS. That said, I am generally pleased with the notebook to this point. I find the battery life to be excellent. Battery recharges take a long time, but not an issue for me. A Major for me is the lack of a manual. Others have complained about the online manual not being available, and it is TRUE. No excuse for this, it has been months, and it is still not available. Having to learn the notebook functions by trial and error, or Google searches is not an acceptable solution in my opinion. Make sure that you understand what is meant when they tell you it is 32gb of memory. It is 1GB of Ram and 32GB of storage/memory. Ram and SD cards are not one and the same, and sd doesn't expand the ram available, it only expands available storage. Aside from that issue with the availability of the manual, I am pleased with the purchase.

Good to great tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great size, not heavy or bulky, sounds okay and picture quality is great. Got it on a great sale and I will stand by the purchase. It's slightly slower but nothing close to slower than that of the smaller tablets out there. It's well worth it!!

Low Budget Android Product.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tablet is Best Buy's brand. I returned this product after a few weeks because of issues i just couldn't live with are as follows. 1. Connectivity. This tablet would not recognize my wifi at first, and when it did connect it worked fine, but would disconnect itself from the wifi when the tablet was idle. 2. Display. The tablet boasts a 1280 x 800 display but I feel this was inaccurate due to it making apps like netflix and hulu look grainy. The other issue I had with the display was when the brightness was turned all the way down the screen would flicker. 3. Battery. The battery life on the tablet should be considered before purchasing this tablet. I had let the tablet charge for a day before regular use however even with the display on the lowest setting I found the battery to drain rather quickly. I was in the market for a decent tablet after my samsung tab 2 10.1 became out dated so my standards were a little on the high side to begin with. If you are looking for something low spec and cheap beginner tablet for a child then this tablet will indeed serve its purpose. I on the other hand went with another samsung.

Not sure I can recommend this one.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second one we purchased. First one died about 6-9 months in when the battery would not charge. My daughter just set it aside for several months after that and by the time I knew about it we were out of warranty. She bought another in Dec and it completely locked up in about week or so. Store replaced it and its mid Jan now...seems to be okay but I dont have much faith in it right now. We wont get another if this one pukes. In fact, her brother decided to get an Amazon Fire instead. So far that is a much faster tablet and feels like a better built product.

Nice tablet.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice tablet. A little slow compared to an iPad upon start up, and it's an older version of Android so it's not as snappy as some of the newer models. But has a large screen, expandable memory, 32GB internal memory, and great price. Give it a 7.5 out of 10.

Broke in 3 months, should have known better .
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a basic tablet so I picked this one up for $55. Cheap right. Wrong! Broke after 3 months . Won't turn on now and I needed to do a hard reset 3 times in those 3 months. It was slow as anything I've ever seen, although I was aware it was before I bought it. Too slow to search the web. Don't buy unless you want an expensive candy crush machine for 3 months. 2 Stars for the big screen.

Decent tablet for the cost.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tablet on a "deal of the day" promotion. I did look at reviews before making the purchase and probably should have heeded the negative comments about the slow speed (true). Also, doesn't engage reliably with my wi-fi network and frequently fades out. Pluses? Size & clarity of screen are good.

Good kids tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good tablet, the sound is great, has a good picture (colors are a bit dull), so it's great for my little ones. My main issue is that it lags and the touch sensitivity is not all that great, we have to touch the screen multiple times for it to respond. For the price however, it was a good buy.

Nice Tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my senior citizen father who is not technically saavy. It a good size screen and relatively easy to use. If you don't want to lay out the money for an iPad or Samsung Galaxy tab this tablet is worth the $100 price tag.

Got all day?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the slowest tablet I have ever used. I thought the LG G Pad I had was slow but this device gives slow a new meaning. This is the first Insignia product I have purchased and will likely be my last. It may make strong products to enhance devices but it makes horrible devices. I don't know what it is that makes this tablet so slow. I have nowhere near the apps I had on the G Pad, I use app cleaners and apps to free the RAM but those only last a few minutes. The measurable long time for the tablet to react to the tapping of an icon is easily 3 seconds almost every time. The times it doesn't take 3 seconds it takes even longer. I have an LG G6 and the G Pad was like a larger G6. It was over time , a couple of years, that the G Pad started to get sluggish. It had many of the same features that were on the G6 and I enjoyed using it. I was very disappointed when it stopped turning on all of a sudden and didn't have the money to buy another so I shopped around and decided on this Insignia. Written out, the Insignia sounds like it has a lot going on for it but I have been even more disappointed with it that I was when the LG died. Insignia's tweaks with the Android OS are nothing special, nowhere near the execution of an LG or Samsung tablet. My friend brought over an Insignia projection cube which I was initially impressed with but after watching him struggle to set it up, my expectations for the device dropped greatly. I hoped the way I describe Insignia to others would be improved after owning this tablet. Instead my description of Insignia devices can't be stated on this review.
