Customers commend the 4' USB-C to USB-C Charge-and-Sync Cable with Braided Jacket for its generous length, durability, and affordable price. Many appreciate its reliable performance and the sturdy braided design. However, some users note that the data transfer speed may not be optimal for all devices and charging speeds may be slower than expected. The cable is well-suited for everyday charging needs.

Solid working cable that gets the job done
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty straightforward, its a USB C to USB C cable, which given current tech these days is now going to be the norm. what makes this stand out is that its quite thick and that along with the braided cable feels like this will be very sturdy and hold up well to abuse. i have a hub that sticks out the bottom of my couch, so people can just reach down and plug in their devices. The downside to my setup is you're open to possible kicking it if you're not paying attention. This cable has been holding up excellently. When i plug it into my GaN charger, you're getting super fast charging (blue with double lightning bolt for the android users) a bonus that i wish more cables incorporated is the cable wrap strap. its quite thick and possibly over engineered (longer than it needs) but works excellently. i actually can fold another cable up in it, so when i travel, i can have two 7' cables nicely bundled as seen in the photos the finish is very nice and clean. it's a nice brushed silver connector casing into a white rubber membrane to help prevent damage from bends its capable of charging 60W, which means when i travel with my laptop, i can use this cable to charge it with my GaN and leave my bulky OEM charger at home.

Long and sturdy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice ling USB type C to Type C cable. Its braided, it feels like a fabric material that makes the cable a little bit stiff and very durable. Both ends are type C USB, so if you need one side to be type A, you may need an adapter. The cable is very large, 10' and its perfect for my use, very long reach. It says it supports up to 60w for fast charging, which is very good, you want a very good quality cable that won't destroy your devices. The only con I could find is that its data speeds are rated for up to 480 mbs, which accounts to USB 2.0, so its a bit slow for data transfers, so I'm using it more just for charging, but it can do the job to transfer some data, if you don't need it super quick. It was nicely packed in a small box and the cable itself has a cable tie attached to it so you can roll it back and store it nicely if you need to carry it around with you. The connectors themselves feel very sturdy and of a good quality, which is very important these days, specially with so many watts being carried over the cable. Highly recommend it if you need a very large charging (and some data) cable!

Great cable!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent high-quality USB-C to USB-C cable. Construction is solid, with exterior braiding that makes it durable yet flexible. The plug part is solid metal, with a protective firm rubber base that should help prevent the damage that can happen from constant flexing in that area. There's also a nice elastic band attached to the cable that makes it easy to wrap it up for storage or travel. I really appreciate the new USB convention where they specify on the box how much power the cable can handle and how fast it can transmit data (60W and 480 Mbps in this case). I recently took this on a trip, and the charging and data transfer were on point. The 7 foot length is awesome, especially for travel, since it always seems that electrical outlets in hotels are in the most inconvenient location (and most hotels still only provide USB-A ports next to the bed, rather than USB-C). Insignia is Best Buy's in-house brand, so I trust its reliability. I might not go for their higher-end tech products like TVs, but their tech accessories are a good buy.

Excellent USB-C cable!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Insignia USB-C braided cable is just what I was looking for. The cable is very durable, unlike most USB-C cables, this one is braided making for better durability and is extra long for better reach. On both if the ends where the connectors are, it is well secured with both rubber and aluminum so that the cable doesn’t start to break off or split at the ends. The cable is extra long, measuring at 10 feet this gives me plenty off length to be able to plug in my iPad and be able to use it at the same time. The cable is compatible with 60w chargers, making it fast charge capable. The cable also offers transfer speeds up to 480mbps for quick file transfers. I tested the fast charging capability and, I can confirm it does work very well. Overall, I love the Insignia USB-C 10’ cable. I finally have a cable thats long enough to reach the wall outlet. The build quality is amazing, its definitely built to last a long time. And with fast charging capability, as well as 480mbps transfer speeds, this is my go to USB-C cable.

Nicely Designed and Constructed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This particular Insignia USB-C to USB-C cable is rated for charging up to 60 watts, and data transfer speeds up to 480Mbps, so that means it meets USB 2.0 specifications. Even though the USB-C form factor can support higher data transfer speeds given the needed configuration of ports and cables, the USB-C port on the new iPhone 15 supports USB 2.0 specs. And with 20 watt wired charging, this reasonably priced, Insignia brand cable is all you need to meet the iPhone 15’s cabling needs. Please note that this cable is not rated for the data transfer speeds that Thunderbolt ports are capable of. While researching USB-C specifications, I came to the realization that the USB-IF (USB Implementers Forum is a group of companies that set the standards) seems bound and determined to make the designations for USB-C just as confusing as they are for USB-A. That said, this cable is USB-IF Certified for its specifications. The 60 watt charging capability is more than sufficient for smartphones and tablets, and should also charge some laptops, albeit at a slower rate than they are capable of, as some laptops can charge at 100 watts or more. The construction of this Insignia cable appears to be quite robust with a braided jacket that makes the cable very flexible and more likely to withstand the repeated bending it would undergo while a phone is being charged at the same time it is being used. The connectors at each end have a plastic strain relief and are covered with a satin-finish, silver-colored metal that appears to be aluminum. These plugs are tastefully emblazoned with the “INSIGNIA” logo, and are slender in girth which allows them to reach ports that may be recessed into a device where a less svelte connector might not fit. The cord measures at its advertised 10-foot length, and has attached a white, flexible rubber strap to keep the cable corralled when folded or looped up for storage or transport. Again, this part of the assembly appears to be quite well constructed for everyday use. The packaging states that the cable is manufactured in Vietnam, and the only deficiency I could find is the tag attached to the cable indicating that it is rated for “60w” charging. It appears as somewhat of an afterthought, and would have been better implemented by being debossed into the connector ends. I believe that since this cable only meets USB 2.0 specs, there is no requirement that it carry any markings alluding to its capabilities. All-in-all, this Insignia USB-C cable is a quality item especially for the price point and I would expect it to work well in the field performing to the standards it has been designed to meet. It easily appears to be of the same or superior quality to the many OEM and aftermarket cables I have accumulated over the years.

Good construction but better for PD than data/sync
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At 10 feet, this is easily the longest USB cable I own, which is great because with four USB-C PD laptops, tablets and Chromebooks, as well as two Switch consoles, two SteamDecks, and a ROG Ally in the house, I was looking for something that could charge or power my devices without needing to be held SO captive by the location of the nearest wall charger. In that respect, the Insignia USB-C to USB-C cable mostly does what it needs to so long as your needs, especially on the data/sync side of the house, aren’t very demanding. Cable construction feels reassuringly solid. The braided sheath has a VERY tight weave that provides a great deal of resistance to kinks or twists and that should greatly reduce the chance of the material pilling or snagging on things like Velcro strips and closures over time. In a nice change of aesthetic pace, the fabric jacket is white rather than black making it very easy to pick out of a snake’s nest of charging and data cables that might be curled up behind your PC or unspooling out from a densely populated charging hub. Of course, that also means it may pick up grease and dirt more easily over time. A color-matched heavy-duty rubberized cable-tie is included if you need to tame some of those extra feet of cabling when tucking it behind a monitor or piece of furniture. The shell surrounding the USB-C connectors is relatively low profile so you shouldn’t have any problems finessing the end into devices and charging slots with limited clearance around the port. There is a small rubberized collar at the base of each USB-C connector to provide some measure of cable strain relief, but the collar is honestly too short to do much to limit the bend radius of the cable once it leaves the bottom of the connector shell–a longer, segmented/jointed strain relief collar would have been a better choice to improve longevity. In terms of power delivery, the Insignia cable seems to provide up to the stated wattage capacity on the label, but no more. Using this cable and an Anker single-port 100W USB-C PD wall adapter, I was able to play and charge my SteamDeck simultaneously (45W), but the cable fell short of the 65W PD capacity necessary to charge my ROG Ally while using it (or unlock the Ally’s full 30W Turbo mode). Now, in fairness to Insignia, this cable was never advertised to support anything above 60W, but given that the colorway matches the ROG Ally almost perfectly, I was REALLY hoping to hit the silicon lottery with a color-matched extension cord. Just keep this limitation in mind if your device comes with a 65W or higher USB-C PD adapter–it will still juice your battery, but it may not give you the freedom to charge your device while using it depending on how power-hungry your needs are. In terms of data/sync performance, this cable sports a rated speed of up to 480Mbps (60MB/s). Sadly, that is only the upper limit of the USB 2.0 spec which is a bit slow in this day and age, especially if you deal with a lot of super-large files or have extensive libraries of photos/media. I tested out the Insignia cable by starting a copy action of my 1.8TB Steam library on an internal 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe to a 4TB WD Black SN850x NVMe housed in an ASUS ROG Arion 10Gbps NVMe enclosure using my PC’s Thunderbolt 4 port. The combination of small and large files across a library of more than 40 installed games was a good test of bursty, small-file transfers as well as sustained write actions for larger files. Over the course of the first 20 minutes, Windows reported copy speeds ranging from 41MB/s to 53MB/s, seeming to settle out around 49MB/s for the most part (a full transfer would have taken the better part of a day even at maximum USB 2.0 speeds!). That fell a bit short of the cable’s rated speed. However, given the number of other factors that could also impact file transfer performance in a Windows environment, such speeds weren't necessarily unexpected–but it definitely didn’t bury the needle even in light of its own rated signaling capacity. In the end, there’s nothing patently offensive about the Insignia cable **given what Insignia says it can do.** It’s eye-catching, well made (save for the possibility of needing some better strain relief), and provides additional cable length if you want to sit further away from a wall charger. In use, the cable seems to provide performance that starts to approach advertised limits and capacity, though such limits and capacity will probably start to feel greatly under-spec’d quickly depending on what you’re charging or how much data you need to move.

A Very Nice Cable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've long prefered USB cables that have metal housing and a thicker cable strain relief. Recently I've determined that cables made with braided jackets also last longer and provide greater cable protection. This Insignia cable ticks all the right boxes. I'll call it a medium length cable, I generally keep a short (1 foot) in my USB-A & C charging stations (probably have 6 in my house and 2 that I travel with). I've recently replaced all of my charging stations with GaN3 chargers. They are smaller and more energy efficient than the older styles (and they support all of the new charging technologies). This 4' cable gets used on my desk, I really like the thickness of the cable and the texture of its braiding, is seems to be very high quality. And now my iPad Air and iPhone 15 Pro can share a cable. My iPad air when charging was pulling between 24 and 30 watts via Power Delivery (in the last photo my USB charger displays the power being delivered. This cable claims to be able to deliver up to 60 watts. So it's not large enough to use with a big notebook (MacBook, MS Surface...) So for a larger notebook you need to get a cable that supports 100w power delivery. But for my purposes this 60w cable is fine. It also supports 480Mbps which equates to the max USB 3.2 data delivery speed. This is a very nice cable (it comes in charcoal and white), the length is pretty convenient, although I wish they made one about 1' long too.

Extended length USB-C cable works great
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Insignia™ 10' USB-C to USB-C Charge-and-Sync Cable with braided jacket is a solid cord and a great option. I have situations arise where I need a little longer than the typical 6' cord and I find 10' to be a great length for me. I see Insignia is pretty much marketing this for charge and sync with a phone, I don't have a phone that can accommodate a USB-C cable, but I have found a plethora of uses for it nonetheless! My laptops, both a MacBook Air and PC use a USB-C slot for charging. So I plug one end into a power delivery charger (they claim this can accommodate up to 60 watts) and the other end into the laptop I need to charge. I also use it to transfer files from one laptop to another. I cannot speak to the speed of the cable other than it accomplishes my tasks efficiently in a very satisfactory amount of time. I just love the 10' length of this cable and if it is too long for a certain task, the supplied rubber cord wrap, with well-placed holes for adjustments, works great for wrapping up cable that is unused. The braided jacket is very smart looking and the entire cord, end to end, seems quite sturdy. I have not had any connection issues with this and it is USB-IF certified. I would 100% recommend the Insignia™ 10' USB-C to USB-C Charge-and-Sync Cable with Braided Jacket to anyone looking for an extended length cable.

Great value and durable!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Insignia USB-C to USB-C Charge and Sync braided cable is an excellent value for those who are looking for something that is primarily for charging, but can also handle USB 2.0 transfer speeds. The braided outer casing is very tough and is substantially thicker than many other cables at this price! The plug heads are also quite durable but maintain the flexibility you want for resting your phone on you chest or stomach while scrolling the latest on Instagram or TikTok. The white color seems to fend off stains, dirt, and food spills that might stick to white cables, but I still wouldn't recommend dipping it in marinara sauce and not wiping it clean right away... speaking from experience. The packaging is very clear about what the cable is capable of; with the speed, length, and power capabilities prominently displayed on the front of the box and in multiple locations, including on the cable itself! The cable labeling is only for the charging max power, but that's probably the most important spec to have available on the cable itself. The 60-watts max is also perfectly suitable for most thin and light laptops, tablets, phones, and other small devices, as long as the charging brick is alsl capable of at least 60-watts, this cable works perfectly!

Great usb-c charging cord
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a great cord. I haven’t had any issues. Very solid. The cord is just the right length for most of the locations I need it for. It’s a quality cord, with a strap to keep it nice, clean, tidy and secure. The security strap is permanently attached to the cord so there’s no way to lose it unless you lose the entire cord. I also love the fact that it’s braided over the option that wears and tears easily. I also appreciate the metal housing that protects the connecting charging ports. I hope that’s an indication of a better made product than other competing products. I’ve used it to charge countless devices and gadgets in and around my home. As one of the folks whose new iPhone delivery time keeps getting pushed back, once it arrives, this will be its dedicated cord, instead of the cord that’s supplied as that’s too short to be functional for any living human in todays world. I am able to transfer data like pictures, videos and other files while also charging without slowing down the charging or transfer speeds. Overall it’s a great cord. There’s no down sides to this charging cord that I can currently report. It’s doing just as it was made to do. I recommend it if you’re in need of a replacement or additional cords around the house.

Quick Charging You Can Count On
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Insignia™ - 4' USB-C to USB-C Charge-and-Sync Cable with braided jacket in white is a very useful and functional cable when needing to either charge or sync your device, whether it is your phone, laptop, etc. However, there are only so many things that one can expound on this type of item, but I am eager to give my impressions on it. So, the white braided cable itself is aesthetically pleasing to whatever sex and age of the user. I immediately noticed the hardiness of the tips and that they make a firm connection to whatever the device is that you use this for and that over time, they would stay in tact and wear well. Also, the braiding material is also very good and its flexibility will also lend the cable to wear well over time. One thing I immediately noticed, unlike other cables that I have previously purchased, is the white rubber strap punched with 6 holes and a bump out to put in whichever hole the user might want to use to securely wrap the cord up during use or storage. Keep in mind that this is an intermediate length cable, 4' long, and that will provide you many up close to mid stretch placement spans. Overall, it delivers consistent fast charging.

Exceptional USB-C cable handy for charging & Data.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although this cable seems to be thin it's capacity is excellent clear across the room it transmits power and data very fast to my devices it came in extremely handy while I was stuck in the hospital I needed to traverse the room in a wheelchair. Stable and sturdy with function as an extension to my USBC connection Encumbered by my hospital stay this cables was excellently in charging my laptop my phone and the charging station for my earbuds Pictures included so the hospital room that I am in at distance that this cable traverses in order to charge my laptop sitting on a table I must admit it came in extremely useful for my purposes and withstood tangles within my bed. There isn't much more to say about the cable short of it's need and functionality at the moment came in very handy. However it performed as well as a twisted reinforced cable. Daisy chaining this cable from laptop to phone allowed charging and data transfer simultaneously and that was a treat. It's like and extremely flexible soft rubber outside with no failings in charging and data transfer

Well made. Excellent for VR headsets.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first impression was that this cable is very well made. I do appreciate the color, but I hope it does not get dirty any time soon. The fabric braided cable has some flex, but remains sturdy enough, just in case it gets stepped on or smashed. I do wonder a bit about the fabric being frayed though, especially when going around corners, but so far so good. The heads and connectors are the right size and do not extend too much. I do not worry about it being bent or stressing the USB-C port too much. I tried it with a portable USB-C SSD and had no issues transferring files at all. Then, I hooked up a laptop to a monitor using the Thunderbolt 4 port and the picture was great. Then I tried my S22 phone with DeX and it worked as expected. The same goes for using it with a hub. However, the most pleasant surprise was that it works perfectly for charging and connecting my new VR headset to the PC. There were never any frames or hiccups at all. That alone makes it totally worth it for me. Obviously, as anyone can see, it is easy to recommend this cable.

Low $. Doesn't always work. Will likely get dirty.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are some great aspects to this cord, there are some unfortunate aspects. It doesn't work on everything... ***PACKAGING:*** The packaging for this cord is refreshing when compared to other options which require more fiddling. The box is simple and opens easily. No cutting required. ***FEATURES:*** Affixed to the cord is a nice quality cable management solution which affords the ability to wrap all kinds of ways but not have to use Velcro. This is excellent. ***LOOK:*** The cable is braided, so it _theoretically_ looks more premium than standard rubbery coating - but the material and weave remind me of old-school shoe laces. This is fine, but it also seems to be the kind of material which won't resist staining. This is actually a con for me. The ends are a matte-silver painted aluminum, which doesn't match the white of the braiding. A "machined" look would have eluded "premium" vibes. ***FUNCTIONALITY:*** Obviously, 10 ft. is exceptional when you need more than the typical 3-6 ft. Unfortunately, it is wholly inadequate when you get _no_ functionality from your connected device - and that's the case with my external NVMe drive. My phone works fine; I can charge with it; I can't see my drive _at all_. My guess? The phone gives it's own power. The drive only consumes, and 10 ft' is too long. ***FINAL THOUGHTS:*** I'm glad to have the cord and will get use out of it - just not as a length extender for my external drive. The quality feels fine, but the micro-braiding and material type have me thinking the cord will quickly fray - and DEFINITELY get dirty. For the price, though, 4 Stars.

You won't know you need it until you own it!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this charging cable, it comes in handy in so many ways! I have never had a 10 foot charging cable before, but I am now realizing all of the situations it enables for me by having it: charging my phone comfortably from my bed, desk or couch, reaching to the backseat of a car - you name the electrical outlet location, it will reach where you desire! The cable is constructed of high quality materials, having a braided main cable and two solid metal cable ends, meaning this cable will be able to withstand any situation you can imagine and stay nicely intact. It also supports high data transfer speeds and fast charging, so this cable will fit all of your needs for any USB-C smart devices you may have! Something I also really love about this cable is the pre-attached rubber cable-holding strap on the end of the cable, so you can store your cable anywhere necessary in a neat bundle. I highly recommend buying a 10 foot charging cable, you won't know what you're missing until you have one!

Perfect for iPhone 15 MacBook Air iPad and more
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looking for a nice economical charging cable thats longer than stock for your new iPhone 15, iPad, MacBook Air etc this is it. Bought every different kind of charging cable out there that was out there but they always break at the bend or split. This cable takes care of this problem due to the braided wrap around the cable it feels even better than the stock iPhone 15 charging cable does. It feels more like one of the thunderbolt cables and speaking of that it does have a very good data transfer rate at 480 Mb/sec and can also charge at up to 60watts if you use a power delivery charging brick which gives this excellent versatility as I can use this cable with my MacBook Air and then also with my iPhone and iPad Pro making this the perfect cable. The fact that its 10ft gives you all the length needed to get things charged and when you dont need as much length it has one of the rubber cable wraps built right in that has a nice locking piece to it to solidify its locked up well. Highly recommend

Quality cable from a name brand company
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Insignia 7 ft USB-C to USB-C braided cable works great for all of my USB-C devices. My Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra phone charges quickly when I charge with this cable and the charging block that came with the phone. The cable also quickly charges my 12.9 inch iPad Pro. The cable also performs well when used to connect my laptop to my docking station. Data transfer speeds are respectable. The manufacturer notes the cable is capable of 480 Mbps. I always prefer braided jacket cables. The braided jacket lets heavier cords maintain flexibility and I don’t have problems with the jacket cracking or splitting. The 7 ft length is a good length. It reaches from my charging bank to my chair with room to still hold and use my devices. The white color is a plus. It’s easier to find in the mass of cables next to my chair. While there are less expensive cables on the market, this one is a quality cable from a name brand company. If you are in the market for a new charge cable, check this one out.

Excellent cord
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The length is practically unbeatable. Long enough to reach spaces where I never thought I would comfortably use my devices while still plugged in, especially due to it’s light weight and flexible woven sheath. Wherein none of my cords last first contact with our puppy, I thought this one was toast as well. Beyond the shredded and frayed sheath, the cord continues to fully work.

Quality feel, performance wasn't up to par.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On the outside this seems to be a good cable with a quality construction. Actual performance for me is a bit mixed. I do a lot of video work with drones etc, so I do a lot of moving large files around computers as I need to take them with me to work on or to collaborate with others. The box indicates 480 Mbit/s which is solid but super fast, but in my testing with a very fast computer and external drive I maxed out at only around half that with this cable, 227 Mbit/s or 28.4 MByte/s. Doing nothing more than switching to another cable I can achieve ~5000 Mbit/s or 654MByte/s which confirms my computer and drive aren’t the bottleneck. That’s not to knock the cable per se, my experience with cables is they can be pretty finicky and can really like some hardware combinations better than others, so all I can say is YMMV. Though this cable didn’t meet my performance expectations on my hardware the 4’ length is useful for general purpose on-the-go data and charging needs so I’ll keep it in my tech bag, it just won’t be my goto cable for throwing around large videos.

Durable and Reliable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I generally find myself always in need of a quality USB-C cable. It can be a bit of a gamble buying random cables from online markets. This cable is durable and reliable enough to charge or sync most of my USB-C devices. This cable is quality, well built, and there is no mystery to its capability compared to some other similar products on the market. First, the cable is long enough to reach where you need it, whether it is your wall outlet, your laptop, or your car charger. The 7 ft length gives you more flexibility and convenience than shorter cables. You can also use it to connect two USB-C devices, such as tablets, smartphones, or laptops, and transfer files between them at a speed of up to 480 Mbps. Second, the cable can deliver up to 60W of power with Power Delivery technology, which means it can quickly charge your devices and support fast charging protocols. This is especially useful for devices that have large batteries or high power consumption, such as laptops or tablets. You can save time and energy by using this cable instead of slower or weaker ones. Finally, you can use this cable knowing that it will work well with your devices and not cause any issues or damage. Insignia USB-C braided cable is a great product that offers high performance, durability, and compatibility.
