I was looking for a economical way to charge my phone after my charging port was damaged. This little charger has done it's job well. It does not work on older devices and it doesn't charge through thick cases (need to be close to the battery). But I love it. A little less than 4hrs to a full charge on my Galaxy 9+.

I use this in my kitchen to be able to place my phone down and charge while I am doing kitchen tasks but still be able to pick it up and look at recipes- answer text and such - it is very simple to place it right back in charger when done. I have no problems placing the phone (iPhone 8plus) back on the charger in the correct position to charge it and it charges thru my phones hard plastic case.

So much more convenient to use than a charging cable. I haven’t tracked how fast it is to charge but it works fine for me. I also have a Belkin charger where you have to place the phone on its side and make sure it connects. This one is easier to use since you just place your phone down flat. I have my iPhone 8 in an Insignia soft shell case and it charges fine through the case.
