So far so good! I like the look, the size and the function. I bought 2 and put them back to back for trash and recycling. I was going to get the all in one dual container, but the size inside was tiny and I'd be replacing the bag twice a day or something. I've had them for almost 6 months and the batteries are still working. It has a pause function too if you need to keep it open for an extended period of time. So far so good. I like them and I'd buy them again. I always worry about the insigina brand being less than, but they surprise me on some things. Tv's iffy, kitchen stuff, no issues. I have an Insignia instant pot that works great too! This trash can is a good one.

I really like this trash can. I purchased it when it was on sale for the holidays. It was a great deal! Hands free is great for when your hands are full or messy. Fits perfectly in my tiny kitchen. Requires 2 D batteries that are NOT included.

It’s frustrating to have a nice trash can with a an awesome sensor feature and a quick, convenient bag holder that makes changing bags a breeze. However the sensor is too sensitive. You walk by and it scares you because it opens. Unfortunately if the lid gets stuck or someone sets even something light on top of the lid and it tries to open bc someone walked by it a mile Away (exaggerate some) it cracks this little gear thing. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART is junk. When it happened with mine I noticed it the lid started to not open as wide and then not open at all. At first I thought it was the battery but then upon investigating further I found the issue. It’s all because this small plastic part cracks where it sits around the metal shaft. The sensor triggers this shaft to spin and it’s supposed to turn this plastic piece, which opens the lid. Once it breaks the shaft just spins. I only paid $25 for this can so it’s not worth my time to fix, but I wanted to write the review to help the many i see face this same issue.. for those that want to try fixing it I’m sure it can be fixed with some sort ot apoxy, plastic Harding material or 3d print something.. maybe if enough people complain to the company about it they will provide a better piece instead of 8 cents they give us an upgraded one for 12 cents. Makes you wonder if the company does stupid things like this on purpose. I’ll try to add pics, but under here is where this part is. Hope it helps.

I bought this trash in November 2022 with the recommended BB batteries. The batteries lasted around 6-7 months before needing a change. I love this trash! I use it for my bathroom. Easy to take trash out and easy to use. I clean the lid and the sensor with disinfectant wipes once trash fills and it doesn’t affect usage of lid opening at all.

The can arrived in good shape without any dents. It is equipped with a sensor on top instead of facing forward. This prevents the lip from opening whenever you walk in front of it. The forward facing ones open every time you walk by it which is somewhat annoying. It is described as a stainless steel trash can. I did not run the magnet test to see if it is indeed stainless steel. Although it is described as stainless steel, it feels very light and as such, could be easily dented if it struck by something else or bumped into. It is overall a good product other than the possibility of denting. For that, I will rate it 4 stars

I was looking for this trashcan for a while...when the price droped I bought it. Being stainless steel it is a match with the appliances in the kitchen. The opening is automatic - you have to buy batteries - and is so easy to use. Also, it has a bottom . Other trashcans do not have a bottom, just a two pieces of metal bar !

Great trash can. I had a mainstays for years that the lid quit working. This is as good, if not better. Similar design and function. Good value.

Just the right size and depth for simple trash can. The motion sensor is sensitive and triggers when ever object breaks light path. So I put it some place the is neither bright or gets very dark. I did notice whenever I activated sensor in dark I would be right on top of it. The opposite of when the room was bright it could be triggered just by standing near the can. I found a location where light was balanced. It's functioning great there! No complaints here.

Easy to set up and use. Love the convenience of it as well. Had no batteries initially but when i finally got them. Oh yeahhh. I do wish they included two batteries. That would have been nice. Especially with the cost of the item. However, i did purchas on sale so it wasnt all too bad

Just got it opened and surprisngly impressed with what I'm seeing. The material overall isn't hugely impressive and I don't see this lasting for years. But overall the aesthetic is clean and subtle. The sensor is sensitive (you don't have to guess or find that EXACT spot where it'll sense and open). It isn't overly sensitive either--i.e. doesn't open when you walk by or when the dog hovers nearby. The lid itself is what I am most worried about. It feels fairly flimsy and I'm worried about what little weight could cause it to crack or even break the hinge. Motor is a little noisy but nothing that irritates or causes problems. I do wish the bottom of the trash can had more weight as I feel it is top heavy. For the price and for what it is this is a good automatic trash can. ****THIS DOES NOT COME WITH D BATTERIES DESPITE WHAT THE SPECIFICATIONS TAB ON THE WEBSITE SAYS*****

Modern sleek look. Had this for a year and still looks good. Automatic function works too well at times but you can turn it off. Make sure you put it in a place you dont pass through all the time or it will pop up which can be annoying but you get what you pay for. Its always ready to open for trash lol. Also it has an opening at the bottom for airflow.

Great size trashcan not too big not too small plus it’s the first time I’ve had the motion activated lid in a trashcan and it has been great although a foot pedal is easy. This is just so much easier.

Love this can. The auto open is perfect when my hands are dirty and keeps the dogs out of it.

This is a nice trash can! Never thought I would own an automated trash can but wow it is definitely very useful! It’s very convenient. Seals the odors in until you have to throw out the trash!

Excellent idea for keeping trash off the floor. The sensor that opens the lid makes it easy to use both hands to throw stuff away. Would highly recommend getting one of these trash holder things. FU46

Love the trash can. So convenient when you peeled potatoes or carrots and you just place your hands over and it automatically opens up. NO MESS!! Love Love it!!
